Mix glue and some water in a container. Inflate the balloon, tie it tightly so that it does not deflate ahead of time, and the creation does not deteriorate during drying. Lightly grease the ball with petroleum jelly so that the lace comes off later. Knitted lace should be covered with a mixture of water and glue with a brush and wrap the ball with it row by row.
Then the toy is dried during the day. At the end, you need to do as with ordinary papier-mâché: untie the balloon, blow it off and carefully pull it out. 
The finished product will turn out beautiful and "airy".
Pompom Jewelry
Knitted pompoms are a great thing, as toys one by one or even whole garlands. From the many multi-colored ones, a cheerful, colorful caterpillar on a Christmas tree will turn out. Turn single white pom-poms into angels or hares by sewing on eyes, ears, wings, paws. 
Tools and materials:
- cardboard, scissors, pencil;
- thick yarn of the desired color, synthetic or wool, so as not to fray.
Cut out two identical circles from cardboard. As a template, take a glass or use a compass. The diameter of the circle determines how big the pom-pom will be. Cut a 3 cm hole in the middle. Put the resulting rings together and start wrapping with thread. The more yarn wound, the thicker the pom-pom. Use different threads to get a multi-colored pompom.
Further along the outer contour of the circle you need to cut knitted yarn with scissors, push the rings apart, wrap tightly and tie threads between them so that the product does not fall apart. When you're done, remove the rings and save as a blank for later. If the pom-pom is uneven, trim the yarn with scissors.
You can make many knitted pompoms and make a garland or use them one by one.

- With a long strip, without pressing on the product itself, wrap the entire pentagon at least ten times (2 on each side).
- With the free end, you need to do the same: tuck and hide.
- Now take the workpiece with two fingers of one hand and with the nail of the other press on any face of the pentagon towards the middle. Repeat with all edges. Ready!

You can make a voluminous cardboard pendant for the Christmas tree using other techniques. From cardboard and colored paper we form a New Year's character. And then we glue a belly to it, which, in turn, we decorate with rhinestones. A semi-circular tummy-tummy can be made by cutting a foam ball in half, or make salt dough then bake or dry.

Here is an interesting idea for a round Christmas tree cut from a roll. We take a roll, flatten it into a plane, draw the legs of a Christmas tree on the sides of this plane, cut them out, and then flatten the roll back into a circle again. We glue rhinestones and an asterisk.
Or the roll can only be used as a stand for a flat cardboard Christmas tree.
Rollo also makes excellent penguins. - rolls must be covered with thick black gouache before crafting. And so that during the application children's hands do not get dirty with black paint and do not contaminate other details of the craft, we must COVER our BLACK ROLLS with HAIR SPRAY - so the paint will shine and stop staining our hands with black soot.
You can draw on the rolls the familiar features of your favorite cartoon character (as is done with the snowmen from the Frozen cartoon).
And you can decorate the craft with additional cutting elements - as is done on the example of deer from the right photo below. Here we cut out the crotch between the legs of the deer (in order for these legs to actually appear). And we also cut off the upper part of the roll - leaving the tail-neck - on this bent tail we will glue the silhouette of the head.
We can come up with our own designs of familiar New Year characters. It's so interesting to pick up a gray unremarkable external roll-sleeve and turn it into a piece of the New Year's holiday.
And here is a children's craft made also from rolls but already cut into segments. This can be done from ordinary flat cardboard, if you roll it into a tube with a stapler and cut it into the segments we need. Simple and interesting voluminous craft for children for the New Year.
And from rolls - you can fold here such a beauty - big Christmas tree . It will look good both in the office and in a group. kindergarten. True, the rolls must be collected in advance and then painted for quite some time. Gouache is not enough - it is better to buy a liter can of facade white paint and a bottle of green color. Pour color into white acrylic, stir and paint with a wide brush or sponge.

But New Year's crafts that can decorate your festive table. The fact is that Santa Clauses, which we see below, are nozzles for table napkins.
In the first case (on the left photo below), we make a bag out of red paper, paste a beige face, white mustache, white cap trim on it (but don’t make a beard). Next, we take a white napkin, fold it like a beard and put it inside the bag - part of the white napkin sticks out of the bag, reminiscent of Santa Claus's beard.
In the second case (in the right photo below) - we cut out a white circle from thick white paper (or cardboard). On the upper side of the circle, draw a face, a nose, and glue on a mustache. AND MAKE A CUT over the straight line of the face. We fold a large red table napkin into a sharp triangle and put the sharp end of the triangle into the slot - stretch it and get ... at the top (above the slot) part of the napkin looks like a red cap ... below under the beard part of the red napkin looks like Santa Claus's fur coat.
A simple craft that your children will really like, especially since you can make several such crafts for all the guests invited to the festive New Year's table.

For a competition in a garden or school, you can make a craft on a larger scale. For example, a beautiful Christmas pendant.
The general meaning of such crafts is that there should be a large part-holder at the top and more small items general craftsmanship.
You can hang a variety of pendant crafts on a lamp or on a window ledge. Make them from openwork paper napkin for confectionery (as in the photo below) - very simple and fast.
Even from the pages of scrap paper you can make bright New Year crafts-pendants. It would be a desire, and a little time. Everything is really easy. And even from the photo it is clear how these paper modules are made and how they are assembled into one central round - just with glue.

NEW YEAR'S WREATHS.
And here is one of my favorite themes of children's New Year's crafts. Children just jump with pleasure when you offer them such a serious craft. They like the donut format and like that as a result their work can be used like a real one. Christmas decoration, which from year to year is hung on the door in their family.
In this article I will give only a few ideas for seeding. But in the future I plan to make a separate article on children's wreath crafts for the New Year, and then the link will work here.
In the meantime, let's see the basic ideas for creating the basis for New Year's wreaths. We will make the base in the form of a donut. A standard A4 cardboard sheet will be small in circumference. Therefore, the base for such a wreath can be cut out of a large sheet of corrugated cardboard packaging - a pizza box is ideal.
If there are no large cardboard sheets (especially if you are preparing such a craft for a whole kindergarten group), then you can cut out SEMI-CIRCLES separately from cardboard, and then connect them with tape into one single ring. So that in the place of gluing-docking of the semirings did not get a flimsy fold we must strengthen the gluing place by slipping pieces of hard cardboard under it.
And we are already giving such a finished, wrapped blank to the child, and let him figure out how to decorate his wreath. You can offer him templates or ready-made cutouts, and decoration options.
Or you can make pretty wreaths out of double-sided green cardboard like these with a bright red paper bow.
You can leave out the donut base if it is completely covered with a finishing application, as is done on the Christmas children's wreath in the photo below.
Or you can not glue the wreath ring, do not wrap it, but paint it over with gouache. Dry and paste over already with applications - for example, such snowmen-snowflakes.
Also, an ordinary paper or plastic plate can serve as the basis for a Christmas wreath ring. We cut out the bottom from it and then decorate it according to our design plan.
The winding of the wreath can be done quickly with thick woolen threads. Or knitted threads (from knitted fabric cut into strips. You can decorate such a wreath natural material, figurines made of dense felt, cardboard applications.

New Year crafts from felt.

From dense felt, you can make quick bright crafts. Here is a snowflake candlestick, it is created from a flat sheet of felt. Just the diagram below I adjusted to the size of a felt sheet of 30 by 30 cm. But you can reduce the picture to a size that is convenient for you by copying it onto a Word sheet and pulling the corners of the image.
If you buy green felt of two or three shades of green, then you will quickly make such a Christmas tree with your own hands - a craft consisting of flat pancakes that are slightly pulled together with a needle in the center (to get a wavy disk surface).
That is, in the center of the felt circle, we draw a small circle with chalk, we go along it with stitches of thread - and then we tighten these circular stitches (to make a bulge along the center (like a hat with large margins). We make discs with a screed in the center - of different sizes , alternating shades of green... And we collect our Christmas tree like a pyramid.

From plastic plates, you can make not only the bases for Christmas wreaths, but also any New Year characters. The round shape of the plate easily turns into the face of a snowman, deer, Santa Claus, penguin.
You can cut the plate as you like - for any of your ideas. If the round shape does not create a New Year's craft in your imagination, change this shape. Make a semicircle - and now the face of Santa Claus appears with a relief beard.
Cut the circle of the plate into quarters - and here they unobtrusively folded into a herringbone. It remains to take green paint and colored beads.
You can cut a truncated trapezoid from the circle of the plate and turn it into the head of a Christmas deer.

If you work as a kindergarten teacher, then you can find this material on the first floor of the kindergarten, several large egg cassettes are thrown out in the kitchen every day. Chefs will be happy to become your regular suppliers of this creative material.
You can cut several rows of cells from the cassette holder at once - and turn them into a bright New Year's tree and drink a convex snowman.

And we can also make crafts from a material that is convenient in designing - round fans folded from paper. The simplest construction is christmas tree. Here we stack the fans on top of each other in a festive pyramid - we get a Christmas tree, with our own hands.
Here is a visual tutorial showing the general principle of creating all-round fans. The main thing is to take a VERY LONG strip - so that its length in the folded accordion form is enough for rounding.
If you do not have such a long strip, you can fold 2 separate strips, and then glue them into one common long snake accordion.
And by the way, if on such an accordion on its ribs - and on its tips we make a pattern - then when the fan is turned into a circle, we will get an openwork snowflake. Also an independent New Year's craft with your own hands is obtained.
Paper fans can be used as decorative elements in the design of multi-layer paper Christmas decorations.
And also you can turn on your imagination and invent original New Year's voluminous applications from such paper fans.

What to do with kids on New Year's Eve? Of course, the manufacture of decorations for the Christmas tree. We offer simple and original ideas.
1. Figures made of thick cardboard
Snowmen, Christmas trees, balls, snowflakes, hearts, angels - you can choose any option. First, make a stencil out of paper, then take thick cardboard, and, applying the stencil, circle it. Next - cut the pattern along the contour, make a hole with an awl or a hole punch and add a rope. We decorate the resulting figure on both sides to your taste: you can draw funny faces, paste over with shiny wrapping paper, decorate with beads, sparkles or artificial snow.
2. Paper lanterns
Even a 3-year-old child can make such an ornament - of course, under mother's supervision. To do this, fold a rectangular sheet of colored paper lengthwise. From the side of the fold, make parallel cuts towards the free edges, not reaching them 1 cm. The distance between the cuts should be the same. Next, unfold the workpiece, overlap the edges of the flashlight and glue them to each other.
The second rectangle - the core of the flashlight, should be slightly narrower than the main part. Glue it in the form of a tube and attach it inside the flashlight. Cut out the handle and glue it to the figure. The flashlight is ready.
3. Volumetric stars
The little ones can handle this toy. Cut out two identical stars from thick cardboard. On the first, make a slot from the tip of the top to the center of the part, and on the other, from the top of the inner corner to the center. Now put one blank on another - you will get a voluminous star. Make a hole, thread a string and do not forget to decorate the toy.
4. Garland of pom-poms
When in the house Small child- not everyone dares to hang a classic electric garland on the Christmas tree. An excellent alternative would be the option of pompoms. The easiest way to make such a toy is to thread multi-colored pompoms on a thread and fasten them at an equal distance from each other. You can make fluffy balls yourself, or you can buy ready-made ones in a needlework store.
5. Candy
An elegant and very appetizing option. Any sweets in beautiful shiny candy wrappers will be used. You just need to attach a string to each candy and hang a “delicious” toy on the Christmas tree. A candy garland would be just as good. But if you do not want your child to begin to uncontrollably absorb mouth-watering Christmas tree decorations, make delicious toys yourself. To do this, you need to cut out rectangular blanks from wrapping paper, put a voluminous base in the center of each rectangle, for example, a bottle cap or a plastic case for a chocolate egg, wrap our candy with a candy wrapper and tie the edges with ribbons. And you can talk about the delicious “stuffing” of the crumbs a little later - there will be a surprise!
6. Balloons
The most natural Christmas decoration is, of course, a cone. It can be covered with colored shiny varnish, gilding, artificial snow, glued on cotton wool, small colored balls, sequins, sequins, decorated with ribbons and bows. To fix the decorated cone on the Christmas tree, you need to screw a small self-tapping screw into its base and attach a ribbon to it (or just tie it to the stem).
In addition, an ordinary cone can become the basis for a more complex toy: a fabulous animal, an angel, a snowman, Santa Claus with a Snow Maiden. Then you will need additional details that can be made from improvised materials: fabric, thread, beads, toothpicks, cotton wool.
7. Medals from caps
Plastic and iron lids of any diameter will be used: from milk, kefir or drinking water. First, make a hole in the side for the ribbon. You can do this with an awl. Then - give the lid a new color: silver, gold, white, red - it is most convenient to use a can of paint. After the lid dries on both sides, we begin to decorate its inside. There are also several options: for example, you can lay out a snowflake from beads, randomly glue spread out sequins, or manually draw some kind of pattern. And if you combine painted in White color three covers, you get an original snowman.
8. Rattle balls
To make this decor, you will need plastic cases from a toy made of chocolate eggs. To begin with, open the case and make a hole in the center of its upper part for the rope. Put it on right away. Further, everything is very simple: put some small but solid object in the case (it can be a screw, a couple of beans or a coin). Then - degrease the surface of the case - for example, with nail polish remover. Next, tightly closing it, apply a transparent all-purpose adhesive. The main condition is that the glue should not dry out instantly, otherwise you may not have time to apply the decor completely. You can immediately coat the entire case with glue and sprinkle with sequins, or you can decorate in parts, gluing individual elements.
9. Felt toys
Christmas decorations made of felt will make your Christmas tree truly homely, adding coziness to the interior. Buy multi-colored sheets of material at a needlework store, and for the baby to make a soft craft himself, cut out the desired part in duplicate. Next - put voluminous material between the halves: cotton wool, synthetic winterizer, felt trimmings, then sew both halves with threads of contrasting color. You can not be careful: careless stitches made by children's hands will look very original. You can decorate the toy with buttons, braid or sew on the necessary details from any other materials.
10. Snowflakes from ice cream sticks
Very simple and original idea. Take three ice cream sticks and furniture glue. Glue the sticks in the center, giving them the shape of a snowflake with six rays. Let the "designs" dry well. Then - start decorating the toy. You can paint a snowflake in one of the winter colors, decorate with beads or sequins, or wrap the rays with thin tinsel.
11. Snowflake-ballerina
All children love to cut out snowflakes from paper. Invite your child to make an unusual option - a paper ballerina. To do this, you need to make any round snowflake - it will become a ballerina's tutu. The more delicate the snowflake, the better. Next, cut out the body of the dancer from cardboard or thick paper. The final step is to make a hole in the center of the snowflake and put the skirt on the ballerina. The toy is ready!
12. Bulb balls
In any house there are a couple of ordinary burnt out incandescent lamps. So - do not throw them away, but store them carefully so that by the New Year you can make original balls with your child. First, make a hole in the base of the light bulb for the string. Depending on the shape of the lamp, come up with a decor: you can make a cone, an angel, a snowman or an animal. And you can - paint a light bulb from a spray can, draw a fantasy pattern with acrylic paint, paste over with rhinestones or cloth. Just remember that before working with glue and paints, the surface must be degreased.
13. Balloons from plastic bottles
Take plastic bottle from water, kefir or milk. Wash it well and clean it of glue. A transparent bottle with grooves around the perimeter is best suited - it will be easier to make rings along them. Via stationery knife cut three or four identical rings. The resulting irregularities of the parts can be removed with scissors. Now insert one ring into the other, alternately gluing the points of contact with universal glue. Let the glue dry and proceed to the decor, having previously fixed the ribbon and degreased the rings. You can simply glue beads, buttons, sequins, braid, or apply a pattern with nail polish.
