Fabric crafts can be sewn from various fabrics: cotton, linen, wool, fleece, felt. Making a Christmas tree out of felt with your own hands is quite simple for both children and adults.

Small-sized soft crafts in the form of a forest beauty can be made even by the smallest children. This will require a minimum of materials, various decorative elements, bright beautiful threads and, of course, imagination.

A child of 3-4 years old can draw simple patterns of a Christmas tree from felt with his own hands. Their cutting and transfer of silhouettes to fabric, stuffing with filler of voluminous figures can be done by children with the help of adults. The latter is better to take over the work with needles and small details of the decor.

This simple craft does not require the master to work with a thread and a needle. It will be enough to have simple materials and tools:

  • squares of dense green felt (5 squares of five different sizes);
  • small brown felt mugs (5-6 pieces);
  • small buttons in the shape of an asterisk or snowflake;
  • thin line;
  • awl.

Cut out squares from half a sheet of thick A4 felt. In the center of each square and brown circle, two holes are pierced with an awl. A piece of fishing line is folded in half, the ends are threaded into the holes of one circle and tied into a knot (so the fishing line will not slip, and its ends will remain even during operation). Then five more circles are strung on the fishing line, forming a tree trunk. The finished part is fixed with a knot. The ends of the fishing line are folded together and squares are put on it in the form of a pyramid, giving them an arbitrary position in relation to each other.

At the top of the craft, a button is fixed in the shape of an asterisk or a snowflake.

A loop is formed from the fishing line, for which the toy can be hung on a Christmas tree or placed in a garland.

You can make a small three-dimensional tree from felt using the technology of a composite designer. For this craft you will need:

  • thick felt;
  • decorative elements (small felt circles, beads, beads, buttons, etc.);
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • narrow braid or ribbon.

Making a composite Christmas craft is very simple. Two identical pieces are cut out of felt. In the center, each part is cut: one from the bottom to the middle, the other from the top to the same point. After that, proceed to decorate the details. Since all sides of the craft will be in sight, the decor elements are fixed with glue. After the glue has completely dried, the parts are interconnected and a textile loop is glued. A voluminous Christmas tree decoration can be hung on a real Christmas tree.

Small stuffed Christmas trees are classic decorations made from felt.

Such crafts are made of medium-density felt and synthetic winterizer. The design of products depends on the taste preferences and imagination of the author.

To make a felt Christmas tree with eyes, decorated with snowflakes, you will need the following materials:

  • light green felt;
  • brown felt;
  • green threads are several tones darker than the fabric;
  • silver threads;
  • silver satin ribbon;
  • small toy eyes;
  • scissors;
  • needles;
  • glue;
  • sintepon.

Two pieces 10 cm high are cut out of felt. Small snowflakes and eyelash lines on one of them are embroidered with silver threads on both parts. With the help of glue, the eyes are attached to their place. The two parts are folded wrong side to each other, inserting a loop of tape at the top. Then they are sewn together with green thread, leaving a hole for stuffing. A small amount of padding polyester (sufficient to create a small volume) is evenly distributed inside the toy. A strip of brown felt is inserted into the stuffing hole and sewn up. The toy is ready.

Christmas trees for interior decoration

Craft using the tilde technique

In the tilde technique that is fashionable today, you can make not only unique dolls, but also interior items: for example, a Christmas tree. The tilde Christmas tree has smooth lines and a vertically elongated silhouette. For most of these crafts, the top is curved in the form of a cap.

To make a do-it-yourself tilda tree made of fabric, you need:

Making crafts begins with drawing patterns with smooth lines. A sketch of a Christmas tree is transferred onto felt folded in half and two mirror details are cut out.

For decorating a Christmas tree satin ribbons small bows are made that are sewn onto both parts. In random order, the blanks are embroidered with beads.

The decorated parts are folded with the wrong sides inward and sewn together, leaving a small hole for filling the crafts with padding polyester. The filler is evenly distributed over the figure.

A wooden stick is inserted into the stuffing hole and sewn up.

The foam is shaped to match the selected flower pot. The workpiece is smeared with glue and placed in a mold. A hole is made in the center of the foam base and a Christmas tree on a stick is fixed in it with glue.

Cut out a circle from the organza. They put a pot on it, wrap organza around it and fix it on a stick with a ribbon. Decorative Christmas tree-tilde is ready.

Creative Christmas tree made from pillows you can decorate the bedroom. And after the end of the holidays, the elements of the Christmas tree can be used as a decor for a bed or a sofa in the living room. To make a Christmas tree, you can use felt of low density green and white color. You will also need a sewing machine (but you can also sew parts manually), pins, scissors, a rolled padding polyester, thick yellow or red felt.

Work begins with drawing a template. Each pillow is a star with five rays. Each master chooses the number and size of pillows on his own, focusing on his preferences. For example, a product can be made up of six pillows, alternating green and white parts.

The template is transferred to the fabric and two figures of each size are cut out. The details are sewn, turned inside out, the seams are straightened and filled with padding polyester, cut out in the shape of a pillow. The final product is sewn by hand.

A double-sided Velcro for fabric is sewn to each pillow with a few stitches. Use it to assemble a pyramid.

The top is decorated with a fleece stuffed star, which is sewn to the top part.

Manufacturing Christmas decorations based on a cone is a fairly common technique in which they work with many materials: colored paper, napkins, tinsel, and various fabrics. You can sew quite a lot of models of Christmas trees made of felt using the cone technique.

A small craft is made from a piece of thick felt. A piece is cut out of it in the form of 1/3 of a circle. Felt mugs of different colors are glued or sewn onto the unfolded part.

After decorating, the craft is sewn.

From this craft you can make an educational game for the smallest children. To do this, the decor is not sewn onto the enlarged conical base, but hung with Velcro. The assortment of decorations can be varied with flat felt figures of animals (squirrel, bunny, bear, owl, cat, dog), symbols of the New Year holidays (Santa Claus, Snow Maiden, snowman, deer, snowflakes). Forest beauties from felt- a great alternative to real trees in families with small children. A Christmas tree made of felt on the wall, sewn with your own hands, will not only beautiful part New Year's home decor, but also an entertaining educational game for the baby. The main idea of this product is to make one of the main New Year's symbols as safe and interesting as possible for the child. This idea has many incarnations, appearance which depends on the imagination of the authors.

Flat crafts

The simplest model of wall-mounted developing Christmas trees are flat, one-piece designs. To make them, you need a piece of thick felt about a meter long. In order for the product to look even and neat, a full-size half-tree template is made of cardboard. Cardboard can be replaced with a piece of wallpaper or newspaper, but in this case, when transferring the template to the fabric, it must be secured with pins. The felt is folded in half, the template is circled and the finished part is cut out. Felt details cut with scissors with a curly blade look beautiful.

A mount for toys is sewn to the finished workpiece, which can be:

There are several ways to fix the finished craft on the wall.. The main condition is a reliable fixation, designed for the active actions of the baby.

A self-tapping screw screwed into the wall can act as a fastener. In this case, a hole is made in the upper part of the Christmas tree, a cord is threaded into it, which is hung on the fastener.

If it is not possible to make a hole in the wall, then you can attach the product to the wall with double-sided adhesive tape. Stationery tape is not suitable for this purpose, as it cannot withstand the weight of the structure. Adhesive tape should not be used in rooms whose walls are covered with wallpaper, as after removing the decor, they can come off along with the tape.

Wall-mounted Christmas tree can be attached to the wallpaper with pins. In this case, it is necessary to disguise the attachment points and carefully monitor so that the child does not accidentally prick a needle or swallow it.

Other types of developing Christmas trees

In addition to flat wall-mounted Christmas trees, consisting of one part, more complex educational crafts can be made from felt:

  1. A flat craft, consisting of several parts, is made of dense green and light green felt. The template for this craft is initially drawn with one figure and several separate parts are drawn inside. Then it is cut into pieces and transferred to the fabric. Details should alternate in color. Parts of the felt Christmas tree are cut out and sewn together.
  2. A stuffed Christmas tree made of felt for the wall is made in the same way as its smaller models. But there are some features that are due to the size of the products: the stuffing for the product is cut out according to its shape from a rolled padding polyester; so that the filler does not stray, its corners are sewn to the felt with a few stitches; to fix crafts on the wall, only the method with drilling a hole for a self-tapping screw is suitable.
  3. A stuffed composite Christmas tree is made from several paired parts. To save quite expensive felt, the part adjacent to the wall can be made of cheaper material. They are individually filled with padding polyester, which is necessarily fixed inside the part at several points. Then the parts are sewn together.

Felt Christmas trees are quite easy to make.. They give New Year's interior atmosphere of warmth and comfort. And their creation will make it interesting and entertaining to spend New Year's Eve evenings with the family.

    Video master class on making a charming Christmas tree from felt with your own hands.

    Such a Christmas tree can be made using the technique wet felting- we cut out a form from laminated cardboard and wrap it with green wool fibers around the workpiece, lay out the fibers in different directions and nail it with soapy water, 10 layers need to be done no less - then we crumple the workpiece, throw it on the table, in general we roll it. When our workpiece has become dense enough - we cut it from the bottom to take out the cardboard, give it the desired shape - then dip it in salt water - squeeze the shape again, come and let it dry. And then you can already sew on rhinestones, and toys are also made of felt, only already felted by dry felting, and all sorts of glitter.

    Soft Christmas tree made of felt squares. Cut green felt squares of different sizes, stitch them and, in general, the felt Christmas tree for the New Year is ready. I like this craft more than others, you can crush the Christmas tree, throw it like a ball and nothing will happen to it. And it's very, very easy to do.

    Perhaps the most common material for crafts was and remains felt - it is very easy to use and the crafts turn out to be very beautiful, and you can safely give such a toy to children without fear that they will prick themselves with needles or damage the Christmas tree itself. For example, the simplest way to do Christmas tree from felt for kids:

    We make a cone out of cardboard, cover it with green felt, decorate it with beads, ribbons, sequins (it is better to sew on than to glue, so they will hold on more reliably). But still let them play under the supervision of adults, as a child can tear off small parts and swallow them.

    Felt, this is a very pleasant material to work with, even playing with such a Christmas tree will be very easy and simple for a child. I really liked this idea of a Christmas tree made of felt.

    To do this, we cut out two Christmas trees from felt, make an incision and put them into each other. But decorations can be different shapes buttons, or you can also use colored circles from felt and sew on Velcro. Then the kid himself can dress up such a Christmas tree and then undress it. Both a game and an educational activity at the same time. You can sew on beads of various shapes instead of toys, and make garlands from small beads. There are a lot of ideas, and in stores you can buy so many beautiful and interesting things.

    A felt Christmas tree is very suitable for those who have small children, then there is no need to worry that they will prick themselves or break toys. It is safe and you can decorate it too. Here is one of the options for such a Christmas tree.

    You determine the size yourself. Draw a cone on the paper.

    Then, according to this template, cut out the base of the Christmas tree from cardboard, you can use plastic.

    Then cut out a cone of felt with an allowance of 1 cm along the edges for the seams.

    We glue the base-cardboard or fix it with something.

    We sew the felt, folding it with the right side and turning it out.

    We put on a cardboard cone.

    We make patterns of toys and cut them out of different colors of felt.

    You can make toys voluminous by stuffing them with filler and sewing on ropes.

    We sew buttons on the base of the felt Christmas tree, and hang toys on them.

    Velcro can be sewn to the toys, then the buttons will not be needed. Attach to any place.

In order to make an original Christmas tree out of felt, prepare:

  • white and blue felt;
  • threads to match felt sheets;
  • a sheet of cardboard;
  • scissors, needle;
  • pencil, crayon;
  • craft glue or glue gun;
  • holofiber;
  • rhinestones for decoration;
  • braid, thread with sparkles or small blue beads.

Step by step manufacturing technique

Print and cut out Christmas tree and star templates from paper.

Cut out a pattern from white felt - one piece of a Christmas tree, and from blue - two stars.

Fold the base so that the straight sides overlap, and join them with an overcast stitch.

Turn the tree inside out and straighten it out.

Fill the base with holofiber. It is not necessary to fill tightly, the main thing is that the figure is not hollow.

Cut out a circle from cardboard with a diameter equal to the circumference of the bottom of the Christmas tree. To do this, put the base on a sheet of cardboard and circle it with a pencil.

Apply a thin layer of glue around the edge of the circle. The line must be continuous.

Attach the circle to the base of the Christmas tree and press. Run your fingers along the contour, fixing the edges. Make sure that the bottom is well glued around the entire circumference. Wait a while for the glue to dry.

Take both parts of the felt star, lay them on top of each other and sew together. You can use a seam over the edge or just dotted stitches. If you want the figure to be voluminous, put some holofiber inside.

With a sharp object, push the filler into the ends of the star's rays. Sew up the hole, straighten the figure with your fingers.
