Crochet lamb hat. Winter hat with sheep knitting needles

Good afternoon. Approaching New Year, which will Year of the Sheep. And that means that on this holiday it will be possible to give friends and family cute benevolent lambs. as a symbol of the year.
Today I am posting an article with a selection of crocheted sheep. I found several ways of knitting crochet sheep (different in shape) - from the simplest spherical sheep to more complex and advanced knitted pets (with a wire frame inside, whose legs and arms bend.)

So get your yarn ready.

And pack the GIFTS friends and relatives.

It's so nice to find SOMETHING made with soul under the New Year tree - warm and fluffy ... with cute sheep's eyes ...

First of all, let's see what exactly can be crocheted on the theme of the SHEPHERD HOOK.

WHAT WE WILL KNIT IN THIS ARTICLE

  1. HATS in the form of sheep ... (for newborns and kindergarten kids)
  2. Crocheted SLIPPERS and BOOTS with muzzles of sheep ...
  3. PILLOWS crochet - in the form of sheep (very simple circuit mating)
  4. Potholders and hot pads in the shape of sheep (also crocheted)
  5. SHEPPER TOYS… (in this article you will find a whole bunch of them - from round little ones… to long-legged ones)

And ... since I have accumulated a lot of crocheted sheep toys ... they will go BELOW in this article ... but Let's start with hats and slippers ...

crochet hats

in the shape of a sheep.

First of all, let's look at what beautiful hats for children you can crochet in the form of a cute sheep. Cozy wool warm handmade.

SHEEP-HAT MODEL No. 1

simple cap with appliqué.

Crochet o bull round "cap"- how many loops to add in each circle is up to you. Yes, there is no pattern. There is just your child’s head, and in the course of circular knitting, you apply the product to the top of your baby and wonder if your circular knitting narrows and expands correctly.

When the cap is tied, we knit the ears (it can already be made from fluffy yarn). Then we make a ligation of the mouth and cilia. Eyelashes are branches of air chains tied with connecting posts without a crochet.

You can complicate the same model of a lamb hat - and make the upper part of the hat (the beginning of knitting) using the bomb-bomb technique. This technique will be discussed later in our article.

Hat with earflaps in the shape of a sheep.

Here the model is the same as above... but it is visually different. How?

The first difference is that it is knitted from thick textile threads - so soft, similar to rollers from fine knitwear. By the way, some people make such threads with their own hands - they go to a fabric store, buy knitwear soft tissue- and they simply cut the knitted fabric into strips - and here you have thick and soft threads.

The second difference is that the hat has ears (not sheep's ears) - but knitting processes that cover the child's ears (like hats with earflaps).

SHEEP HAT MODEL No. 3

It's still cooler and prettier here. Here, the hat is crocheted in the same way in a circle - a cap ... And then a round muzzle appliqué is tied to it (on which eyes, nose and cheeks are embroidered with a viscous crochet hook).

By the way, as we can see, the round applique of the muzzle of a lamb is not knitted in a circular knit, but in straight rows ... and in shape it looks like a square with rounded edges. In the end, we tie such a rounded square already in a circle - with edging columns without a crochet - with a simple white thread. This is to give completeness and roundness to the muzzle of a lamb.

Earflaps on the hat are knitted later - when the knitted cap is ready. We just on both sides (right and left) - we pierce the edges of crocheting - we grab the thread - and we knit several rows for the left ear-ear-flap ... and for the right ear-flap ...

The bow on the hat is a crocheted rectangle - which was then tied tightly in the middle with a skein of thread ...

Lamb ears are circular knitting - we knit a pancake - first with pink threads and the last rows with white threads.

SHEEP HAT MODEL No. 4

And this model of a hat is exactly the same as everyone else - according to the principle of circular knitting, according to the principle of tying the ears with earflaps. It differs only in what pattern we will knit our circular rows of hats.

This pattern is called bumps ... - it is simple (to master it, you just need to be able to knit double crochets). Nothing new…. See the principle I described and showed in the photo below.

HOW TO KNIT A HOOK PATTERN - "BOMBS" or "BOMBS".

In one loop of the bottom row - we knit several double crochets at once ... but each time .. we leave this column on the hook (we do not knit them through each other, as usual - but leave them on the hook and start the next one) ...

And when we have several columns on the hook - we do the BRAWLING ... we pick up the thread with a hook and stretch the loop THROUGH ALL columns at once... and GET a bomb-bump.

Then we make four loops of air (to descend from the height of the bomb) ... and attach them to the bomb of the bottom row ... again three loops of air (to climb to a new bomb) ... And so on ...

BOOTS slippers -

in the form of a sheep

crocheted and knitted.

If you knitted a hat and you still have threads, you can knit these sheep booties. For children's feet. They are so cute - and knit very quickly and easily. Beautiful tender lamb crocheted on each leg of the baby.

You can also dream up and crochet sheep's mittens - in the form of muzzles of sheep.

SHEPHERD PILLOW

gift for the year of the Sheep.

And here is another gift idea - a crocheted sheep in the form of a pillow on which you can lie down. Now I will try to describe in more detail how to crochet such a sheep pillow.

First we knit two square pillows ... then we sew these squares together - along the back seam (where the sheep's butt is).

Then we sew the sides of the squares ... but only in the middle part of these sides ... closer to the corners we leave unsewn segments ... Because from these left slots we will START KNITTING THE LEGS.

Along the front seam, we sew the pillow flaps completely - the front part and the back part.

Then from the leg holes we start knitting the legs - we crochet the rows in a circle ... then subtracting the columns (where the legs should be thinner) ... then adding the columns (where the legs expand).

HERE is an example of how columns are added and decreased in a row.

We knit the head separately , starting with a round nose (round flat crochet) ... then round off the nose (stop adding loops - and knitting is rounded in the shape of a bowl ... goes into a pipe-muzzle) ...

After several rows of such cylindrical knitting - we narrow the pipe (we reduce the columns in the row - and knitting goes to the narrowed part of the nose) ... then we expand the pipe again (we add the columns and the muzzle expands into the sheep's forehead area).

Then we narrow the circular knitting pipe ... we are already leaving the forehead of the sheep to the back of the head ... and when there are not very many columns left in the row (just so that the width of the pipe is like one third of the edge of the pillow) - then we stuff a synthetic winterizer (or cotton wool) into it ) and close the pipe - with a simple seam. And sew the head to the middle front seam pillows.

Knitted SHEETS-POTTONS

3 models .

And when I was hunting for toy ideas knitted sheep and lambs, I found such wonderful lamb tacks ... or crochet lambs-cup holders (hot cup holders). A WHOLE THREE MODELS…

FIRST MODEL - crochet lamb as a stand for hot.

It is knitted very simply - first we knit flat circle in circular technique knitting . In the last circular row, we make a pattern for the curly edge of the napkin (it is simple - here there is an alternation of 3 double crochets + 1 connecting column ... again 3 high double crochets + 1 tiny connecting column) ... and this is how the openwork edge of the lamb napkin turns out.

We knit Morodochka in the form of an oval ... The knitting of an oval differs from a circle in that ... we begin to knit a circle from a chain of air loops closed into a ring ... and to make it not a circle but an oval - we do not close the chain in a circle ... but we knit in a circle along the chain - we get an oval circular knitting ...

Lamb legs is a straight knit - first a chain of air loops ... and then a row of double crochets ...

SECOND MODEL - colored potholder with sheep.

Here the color pattern is very well calculated right in the photo ... you can count the number of columns you need ... and knit exactly the same tack napkin.

MODEL THREE - voluminous tack with lamb.

And here 2 previous knitting techniques are connected at once ... a flat pattern (according to the color alternation pattern) + a knitted appliqué of the muzzle, legs and tail ...

And finally, we come to the toys ...

crochet SHEETS-TOYS

Lots of ideas and designs.

Sheep and lambs in a green meadow ... you can create such a pastoral picture at home ... You can knit sheep secret from your child

Then sew a green hill pillow ... and let this peaceful herd graze on it. And what delight will be in the eyes of your baby - when, returning from the kindergarten, he sees this piece of fabulous alpine slopes ... And how many fun games you can come up with with such game material ...

Get ready mommy - you'll have to glue corrals and fences out of cardboard ... a barn with a roof ... then knit a shepherd ... then his horse ... then build a farmer's farm ... and it is not known what else this can grow fairy world sheep happiness.

If you think that these are the tiniest crochet sheep, you are wrong ... The tiniest sheep are made by one craftswoman ... who is generally fond of creating miniature forms using the crochet technique

This little sheep... is standing on the tip of her index finger... How was she tied up so tiny?... I'll never know.

SHEEP-BALL

simple knitting of a round sphere.

The easiest sheep to knit are ball-shaped toys. They are very simple and quick to knit ... You don’t even need to count the loops ... we just knit by eye.

I always knit without counting- I just see that knitting in the right direction bends the shape ... it means good ... And if it went the wrong way ... returned (dissolved the knitting) a row back ... did it differently (more or less columns) ...

So ... first we knit a flat circle of 4-5 rows (in each row we intensively add columns so that the circle is flat and does not round into a bowl).

then we start not so often to add new columns in a circular row - so that the knitted disk begins to round inwards along the edges ...

Then, closer to the middle of the ball - we knit 1-2 rows without adding columns at all ...

Then we begin to decrease the columns - so that our "cup" begins to narrow - round off.

By the way… if you knit the sheep’s nose in one color (brown) and after wearing it (forehead and beyond) in a different color, you get a beautiful brown sheep’s muzzle (as in the top photo on the right). If desired, paws can be added to the sheep-ball (ears are required).

By the way, such a sheep-ball can be to add viscous with a pattern of "Bumps". You can start such a pattern right OVER the knitted ball ... that is, hook the columns BEHIND the muzzle of the sheep with a hook ... and bend a new knitting pattern in a circle "Bumps".

Or from just make a SPIRAL tying (SKIN IN RINGS)- from ordinary columns (as in the photo below).

We just stick a hook into the side of the lamb and hook the thread (the one with which we will knit spirals) ... and on the back we begin to knit a SPIRAL COMB FROM COLUMNS ... we knit directly as we see ... we stick the hook into any hole - if only the direction of our columns was spiral (snail) ... When one spiral-curl is ready - we start a new one in the same way. Here in the photo below we see that our sheep is decorated with just such spiral scallops from ordinary columns.

Or you can do simple surface knitting ... BUT ALREADY from threads with fluffy pile - as in the photo below.

Round SHEEP crochet

skin in loops.

Or you can decorate such a sheep-ball with LONG LOOPs of yarn ... Such loop knitting is actually a simple thing.

Personally, I came up with the idea of using a piece of rubber hose (it is convenient because it bends) ...

First, we first knit a regular ball (for the body), and then over the back of the ball we make a harness with long loops.

Here's how it goes. We fasten the thread on the desired row of the back (that is, we knit small columns). We attach a piece of rubber hose to this place so that it lies along the knitting row. We do the transfer of the thread through the hose, and then we pick it up as usual and knit it into a column. We have a loop on the hose. And again, transfer through the hose, and we knit a new column. And we already have 2 loops on the hose.

Thus, we continue to knit, and by the end of the ROW we have several loops on the hose. then we protrude this hose from the loop tunnel. And all the loops are released.

And with this piece of hose we begin to knit a new row ... just like the last one.

AND YOU CAN ALSO make loops on a lamb from a USUAL CHAIN of air loops. Here's how this sheep - LalaLupsia's girlfriends in the photo below.

Each curl of a sheep's loop is a chain of stitches that enters the same loop of the row from which it came out.

SHEEP-bags

The formula is simple, oval shape + arms, legs, ears and muzzle. You can not knit a sheep's body round - and make it oval.

Such a mating carcass is needed start at the back(upper part of the head) ... and drive a circular knit expanding to the belly and ass).

And then when the BODY-BAG is ready, you can tie ears, legs and a muzzle to it. The muzzle can be as a FLAT APPLICATION (left photo below) ... or as a CONVEX INSERT with synthetic winterizer inside (right photo below).

The body of a sheep can literally look like a bag - like in the photo below.

I think you can even come up with a pocket on the back with a zipper-fastener and shoulder straps to carry such a sheep as a backpack on your back.

WHAT FORM are the Muzzles

lambs crochet.

And let's see what shape a sheep's head can be crocheted. After all, the torso and legs are approximately the same for everyone, and the main texture of the model is transmitted precisely by the HEAD - its size, muzzle and design of the eyes and nose (it depends on what mood our sheep will have). So, let's look at the shapes of sheep's heads.

OVAL HEAD SHAPE - crochet sheep.

Oval is the most common shape. In the photo below we see example of a STRAIGHT OVAL- uniform width in the lower and upper parts of the muzzle.

Maybe the shape of an OVAL NARROWED UP - from colored threads in the form of a New Year's hat - to make a New Year's winter sheep.

Or the shape of the muzzle of a sheep can be like an OVAL NARROWED DOWN, like a lamb in the photo below. Here, the oval narrows towards the nose, and expands towards the back of the head.

FIGURED SHAPE of the head

crochet sheep.

Can be tied to a sheep curly head. It's all the same circular knitting.

First, we knit a small round of a flat circle, then we move on to cylindrical knitting (so that the nose begins to narrow into a pipe).

Then one side we add knitting pipes (to get an extension for the forehead zone of the lamb). Only on one upper side we make an addition (on the frontal part).

We knit in a circle and reach the back of the head (the back of the head) there we narrow the knitting (that is, we round off and close our head).

The body of a sheep is a simple oval-cylinder. Legs, tail and ears too.

If the crown of the head and torso are knitted from fluffy knotted threads, then it will turn out even more beautiful (see photo below). And the bottom zone of the legs (the initial part of knitting the leg) - can be knitted in a different color - then you get, as it were, hooves ... As in the photo below

And generally speaking…. THE FORM OF THE Muzzle of a sheep can be very different ...

BEHEMOTT head shape in sheep and.

Or this one - an almost HIPPO-shaped head shape ... and only the bridge of the nose and the fluffy cap on the head make this silhouette look more like a SHEEP than a hippopotamus.

And you can make just such a sheep ... with a pink nose and black nostrils .... Almost like a COW...

And there may also be lambs with square muzzles ... and with shaggy tummies ...

SHEEP-toys

with elongated snouts.

And here is a great model of sheep ... they are so cute and gentle with their eyes closed.

Here is a very simple knitting ... the body is a plump short cylinder ... the head is a long dilindr ... the legs are also long crochet cylinders. Ears - flat round knitted in a circle - which were then folded in half like a pancake ... and sewn to the head ...

The upper part of the head and the entire body of the sheep are covered with knitting from other threads - special decorative threads with large lumps of felt fleece ... (these are sold in yarn stores).

UPPER WALKING SHEEP

on long legs.

If you insert a metal into a lamb skeleton wire frame- she will stand on her legs ... bend her arms and tilt her head amusingly ... It will be more convenient to play with her.

FRAME - the skeleton is made simply.

We take a wire (copper or aluminum, which you can find in a hardware store) and bend it so that there is a central rod ... and so that branches-legs and branches-arms depart from it ...

When the body of the sheep is ready, we simply insert the frame into it - we put the branches into the legs and arms - and fill the sheep with padding polyester and finish the necessary.

In the left photo below, we just see such a WIRE-skeletal sheep. Her legs are bent and her head is tilted.

And also, as you can see, these sheep have a CURLY HARNESS on their belly and head.

AT THE FIRST SHEEP we see a harness made of small rounds in one crochet column... That is, they made many, many rounds (circular knitting) but not flat, but convex (like a bowl) ... and then these rounds stuck sheep on the desired surfaces ... voluminous curls turned out.

At the SECOND SHEEP - the curls are made with the usual crochet pattern - it is called "Bumps" - I told how to knit it at the very beginning of this article (where we knitted sheep hats).

If you don’t have a lot of threads, you can knit such cute baby sheep. To make them pleasantly fluffy, they can be improved. Belly, bangs and ears - make special yarn with knots and felt lumps from yarn of a different texture.

You can make a smooth-bald sheep (by the way, it is very beautiful in black and white). And you can decorate the lamb with looped knitting.

You can use crochet loops for any pattern for a lamb.

FUNNY smiling sheep - PINK HAPPINESS with a bell.

Like this funny sheep with a broad smile - you can sew a gift for a girlfriend for the year of the Sheep - with a wish to also smile broadly this New Year.

Such a gift is very CUTE ... and will definitely cause touching admiration of everyone who sees it.

Good luck knitting this new year ...

Olga Klishevskaya, specially for the site "Family Bunch"

A couple of years ago I met these cute sheep on the Internet. And all this time I wanted to connect them. There was even an idea to update the family look, linking new clothes not only to children, but also to me and my husband. But, as often happens, Wishlist does not always reach the implementation stage. And yet - I updated the children's autumn hats and now they are happy, and I am no less than them.

Both hats are knitted from merino yarn. For me it was Merino Soft (50gr/125m) from Lana Gatto. The double elastic band securely holds the accessory on the head and protects the ears even on the windiest days.

So, in order to connect cap rr 54-56 you will need:

  • 2 skeins of green (or any other color that suits your wardrobe) - on the elastic band and the bottom of the product
  • 1 skein of yellow/blue for the top of the hat
  • half hanks of white and black colors, for knitting lambs
  • Circular and stocking needles #3.5

For the elastic edge of the elastic band, I typed loops with my favorite Judy method.

In this option, the edge is smooth, as in industrial knitting, while maintaining its elastic and aesthetic properties throughout the entire period of use of the product.

So, we collect 124p for the gum. (For my daughter's hat, I scored 128p.). After the first rows - we close in a circle and knit until the required height is reached. Having knitted half of the future gum, for bending one row I knitted the loops on the contrary, i.e. where the front is, we knit the wrong one, and vice versa. After that, we change the loops again and return to the same sequence of loops as at the beginning of the product. When the elastic is ready, cut 4 stitches in the first row of the front surface. (and 8p. in a larger size). So, in the work 120p. Next, we knit according to the scheme.

That's all, the hat is ready. It remains to sew the first row (I usually hide the stitching place under the tag), sew on a pompom, and you can run to walk a new thing.

In addition to the famous sheep, there are many others, and you can create your own version of the new thing. And easily adapt your number of loops to the pattern.

Please your family and friends, keep warm and do not get sick!
Happy creativity!

Shetland Wool Week is a holiday in the northernmost part of the UK, taking place in the Shetland Islands. Shetland wool is a world-class natural fiber, and the Fair Isle jacquard knitting technique was born here. If you want to know more about this remarkable technique, then we recommend that you read the article by Irina-knit, published on the site "Fair of Masters": Knitting. Techniques. Fair Isle. Well, we want to tell you that the Shetland week this year took place from September 24 to October 2, and in addition to master classes on teaching traditional knitting using the Fair Isle technique, lectures and excursions, the organizers have prepared an additional bonus for all those interested: knitted hat pattern with sheep.

It's time New Year's matinees in kindergartens and schools. And as always, mothers have to rack their brains over a festive New Year's costume for their child. Someone does not want to bother much and immediately turns to the rental.

However, if you know how to do at least a little needlework, then I see no reason to waste the family budget in vain. It is much easier and more economical to sew a costume yourself and create a fabulous image for your child. In addition, the baby will be happy to help you with this.

2015 is the year of the Sheep and all the kids in kindergarten decided to dress up in beautiful, cute lambs. Our costume is already ready, but to complete the image, we decided to make a sheep's hat on the head. This work will take the very minimum of time, but what we got - see below, where the work itself is presented with step-by-step photographs. What if someone else needs it?!

We also did New Year's.

To create a sheep-hat for the New Year's costume, we need the following materials:

  • whatman
  • scissors
  • PVA glue
  • colored paper Pink colour
  • double sided tape
  • synthetic winterizer or holofiber, you can take cotton wool
  • plastic eyes 2 pcs.

A sheep's hat for a New Year's costume - a master class with a photo:

Before starting work, we will use the template by which we will make a drawing of our sheep hat.

On a piece of drawing paper, draw an enlarged copy of the template, observing all proportions.

Cut out the template along the outline.

Next, cut into strips of the same width up to the line marked on the template.

Then we cut off one strip through one strip. It will look like the following images, i.e. we get, as it were, "ribs".

We connect with PVA glue into a ring. It turns out here is such a crown.

We apply glue to the strip and glue it to the empty place on the opposite side on the inside of the cap.

Now we apply glue to the second strip, only from the side to which the previous strip is glued.

Thus, we glue all the strips, throwing each one to one side, then to the other. You should get a dome that looks like a hat.

Now we will create the image of a sheep. To do this, copy or print the following template.

According to the template from the remaining drawing paper, cut out the head and bangs.

Cut out the inner ears from pink paper and glue them to the ears on the head.

Glue the bangs on top.

Glue plastic eyes on the face and draw a mouth.

Paste the sheep's hat in a circle with holofiber, synthetic winterizer or cotton wool, leaving room for attaching the muzzle.

We also stick holofiber on the forelock so that the lamb is fluffy.
Glue double-sided tape on the back of the muzzle, tear off the protective tape and glue it to the hat.
