Making a mathematical corner in dow. Methodical development "a corner of entertaining mathematics"

A corner of entertaining mathematics.

Creation of pedagogical conditions.

In order for the tasks of the development of children to be realized by means of entertaining material, it is necessary to organize the pedagogical process so that the child plays, develops and learns. simultaneously.

To effectively solve educational problems, it is very important to equip a group of children with the necessary playing aids. In the game room, a specially equipped place is allocated, where all games and manuals are concentrated -

Entertaining mathematics corner is a specially designated, thematically equipped place with games, manuals and materials, and in a certain way artistically designed. You can organize it using the usual items of children's furniture: a table, a wardrobe, providing children with free access to the materials located there. These same children are given the opportunity to choose the game they are interested in, a manual of mathematical content and play individually or together with other children, in a small subgroup.

"Corner" - this is not only an opportunity to provide children with materials for creativity and the opportunity to act with them at any moment, but also the atmosphere in the team. It is woven from a sense of external security, when the child knows that his manifestations will not receive a negative assessment from adults, and a feeling of inner looseness and freedom due to the support of adults for his creative endeavors.

In kindergarten, it is necessary to create such conditions for the mathematical activity of the child, under which he would show independence in the choice of game material, games, based on his developing needs and interests. In the course of the game, which arises on the initiative of the child himself, he joins the complex intellectual work.

Tasks of the "Corner of Entertaining Mathematics":

1. Purposeful formation in children 4-7 years old interest to elementary mathematical activity. The development of the qualities and properties of the child's personality necessary for the successful mastery of mathematics in the future: purposefulness and expediency of search actions, the desire to achieve a positive result, perseverance and resourcefulness, independence.

2. Parenting in children needs to occupy their free time not only with entertainment, but also with games that require mental stress, intellectual effort. Entertaining mathematical material in the preschool and subsequent years should become a means of organizing useful leisure, and contribute to the development of creativity.

The success of gaming activities in a corner organized in a group is determined the interest of the educator himself in entertaining tasks for children. The teacher must have knowledge about the nature, purpose, developmental impact of entertaining material, methods of managing independent activities with elementary mathematical material. The interest, enthusiasm of the teacher is the basis for children to show interest in mathematical problems and games.

The creation of the corner is preceded by selection game material, which is determined by the age capabilities and the level of development of the children of the group. A variety of entertaining material is placed in the corner so that each of the children can choose a game for themselves. These are board games, games for the development of logical thinking, leading children to mastering checkers and chess: "Fox and Geese", "Mill", "Wolves and Sheep"; puzzles; logical tasks and cubes, labyrinths; games to compose a whole from parts, to recreate silhouette figures from special sets of figures; movement games. All of them are interesting and entertaining.

Currently, many children's magazines and newspapers have headings that focus on entertaining material. You can also choose it from books on entertaining mathematics for schoolchildren, popular collections and other publications. It is necessary to accumulate, systematize it, place it in special albums.

When organizing a corner of entertaining mathematics, it is necessary to proceed from the principles of the availability of games for children at the moment, to place in the corner such games and game materials, the development of which by children is possible at different levels. From mastering the given rules and game actions, they move on to inventing new versions of games. There are great opportunities for creativity in the games "Tangram", "Magic Circle", "Cubes for All", etc. Children can invent new, more complex silhouettes not only from one, but also from 2 - 3 sets for the game; the same silhouette, for example, a fox, can be made up of different sets.

To stimulate collective games, creative activity of preschoolers, it is necessary to use magnetic boards, flannelographs with a set of figures, counting sticks, albums for sketching tasks invented by them, composed figures.

During the year, as children master games, their types should be diversified, more complex games should be introduced with new entertaining material.

Decoration corners should meet their purpose, attract and interest children. To do this, you can use geometric ornaments or plot images from geometric shapes. Plots are acceptable, the characters of which are favorite heroes of children's literature: Dunno, Pinocchio, Pencil, etc. In the design, you can use photographs, enlarged illustrations from books on entertaining mathematics for preschoolers and parents, children's fiction.

The organization of the corner is carried out with the feasible participation of children, which creates in them a positive attitude towards the material, interest, desire to play.

Management independent mathematical activity in the corner of entertaining mathematics is aimed at maintaining and further developing children's interest in entertaining games. The teacher organizes all work in the corner taking into account the individual characteristics of the pupils. He offers the child a game, focusing on the level of his mental and moral-volitional development, manifestation of activity. Attracts inactive children, interests them in the game and helps to master it. Interest in the game becomes stable when the child sees his successes. The one who made an interesting silhouette, solved the problem, strives for new achievements. The guidance from the side of the teacher is aimed at the gradual development of children's independence, initiative, creativity.

Instructions for guiding children's independent activities in the corner of entertaining mathematics:

1. Explanation of the rules of the game, familiarization with the general methods of action, excluding telling the children ready-made solutions. Stimulation by the teacher of shown independence in games, encouragement of the desire of children to achieve results.

2. Joint game of the educator with the child, with a subgroup of children. At the same time, children learn game actions, their methods, approaches to solving problems. The children develop self-confidence, an understanding of the need to concentrate, think hard in the search for solving problems.

3. Creation of an elementary problem-search situation in a joint game activity with a child. The teacher plays, makes a silhouette, guesses the riddle, the moves of the labyrinth and at this time involves the child in evaluating his actions, asks him to tell him the next move, give advice, make an assumption. The child takes an active position in a game organized in this way, masters the ability to reason, justify the course of the search.

4. Combining in a joint game children who have mastered it to varying degrees, so that mutual learning of some children by others takes place.

5. Organization of various forms of activity in the corner: competitions, contests (for the best logical problem, labyrinth, silhouette figure), leisure evenings, mathematical entertainment.

6. Ensuring the unity of upbringing and educational tasks in all types of activities. Purposeful organization of independent children's activities in order to ensure a stronger and deeper assimilation of program educational material by preschoolers, its use in other types of elementary mathematical activities, games. The implementation of the comprehensive development of children, individual work with pupils who are lagging behind their peers in development, and those who show an increased interest in mathematics.

7. Propaganda among parents of entertaining mathematical material for classes with children at home. The teacher recommends that parents collect entertaining material, organize games with their children, and gradually create a home game library. Unity in the work of the kindergarten and the family will contribute to the comprehensive development of children, preparing them for their schooling.

In the formation of mathematical representations in children through entertaining material, several stages can be distinguished, each of which can be conditionally attributed to a certain age of children.

Stages of formation of mathematical representations:

1. Junior preschool age:

    familiarity with the shape and name of geometric shapes, primary colors, size, comparison of two objects;

    learning how to examine objects (overlay, application), selection of objects that are the same and different in shape, size (large, smaller, small);

    to promote the emergence of interest in participating in gaming activities;

    to teach to realize the goals that an adult sets for a child;

    introduction to the mathematical fairy tale.

2. Middle preschool age:

stage is associated with the acquisition by children of skills and knowledge on:

    distinguishing geometric shapes by characteristic features (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, ball, cube, cylinder);

    figure classification;

    allocation of spatial relations up-down, right-left, forward-back; the implementation of the objectification of the created object according to the verbal scheme (guessing riddles);

    the arrangement of objects in descending order (5-6 sizes of the object);

    laying out pictures from 4-6 parts.

    the formation of arbitrary attention, active inclusion in the plot of a mathematical fairy tale.

3. Senior preschool age:

    at this stage, there is a deepening of children's ideas about the properties and relationships of objects, mainly through games for classification and seriation, practical activities aimed at recreating, transforming the shapes of objects and geometric shapes;

    develop the cognitive and creative abilities of children: the ability to generalize, compare, identify and establish patterns, connections and relationships, solve problems, put forward, foresee the result and the course of solving a creative problem;

    communicate freely with an adult about games and tasks;

    mastery of games for movement, checkers move;

    guessing tasks-jokes, puzzles, mathematical riddles;

    development of curiosity, resourcefulness, ingenuity with active participation in a mathematical fairy tale.

"Corner of entertaining mathematics" is a magical land of fun mathematics. Through didactic games of mathematical content, educators teach children curiosity, inquisitiveness, forming a desire to learn to count, solve puzzles, puzzles, and entertaining tasks. The corner is equipped with logical and mathematical games, non-standard mathematical tools - Gyenesh blocks, Kuzener sticks, visual models, layouts, symbols, etc.

In an entertaining way, children are given the opportunity to improve counting skills, learn quantitative and ordinal counting, the concepts of "little", "many", "less", "more", the composition of the number, find the excellent and common. Logic games of mathematical content bring up cognitive interest in children, develop logical thinking. An unusual game situation with problematic elements characteristic of each entertaining task always arouses interest in children.

T
Thus, a properly organized corner is an integral part of the harmonious all-round development of a preschooler.

Description of the slide:

Card file of games: "Artists" Purpose: development of orientation in space The host invites the children to draw a picture. Together they think over its plot: a city, a room, a zoo, etc. Then everyone talks about the planned element of the picture, explains where it should be in relation to other objects. The teacher fills in the picture with the elements offered by the children, drawing it with chalk on a blackboard or with a felt-tip pen on a large sheet of paper. In the center, you can draw a hut (the image should be simple and recognizable) at the top, on the roof of the house - a pipe. Smoke comes up from the chimney. Downstairs, in front of the hut, sits a cat. The task should use the words: above, below, left, right, from, behind, in front of, between, about, next to, etc.

Advice for parents: Memo for parents At preschool age, the foundations of the knowledge necessary for the child at school are laid. Mathematics is a complex science that can cause certain difficulties during schooling. In addition, not all children have inclinations and have a mathematical mindset, so when preparing for school, it is important to introduce the child to the basics of counting. - counting up to ten in ascending and descending order, the ability to recognize numbers in a row and randomly, quantitative (one, two, three ...) and ordinal (first, second, third ...) numbers from one to ten; - previous and subsequent numbers within one ten, the ability to make the numbers of the first ten;

26 slide

Description of the slide:

Consultation for parents: - recognize and depict basic geometric shapes (triangle, quadrilateral, circle); - shares, the ability to divide an object into 2-4 equal parts; - the basics of measurement: the child must be able to measure length, width, height with a string or sticks; - comparing objects: more - less, wider - narrower, higher - lower; The basis of the foundations of mathematics is the concept of number. However, the number, as, indeed, almost any mathematical concept, is an abstract category. Therefore, it is often difficult to explain to a child what a number is.

27 slide

Description of the slide:

Advice for parents: In mathematics, it is not the quality of the subjects that is important, but their quantity. Operations with numbers themselves are still difficult and not entirely clear to the baby. However, you can teach your child to count on specific subjects. The child understands that toys, fruits, objects can be counted. At the same time, objects can be counted "between times". For example, on the way to kindergarten, you can ask your child to count the objects you meet on the way. It is known that the performance of small household chores is very pleasant for the baby. Therefore, you can teach your child to count while doing homework together. For example, ask him to bring you a certain amount of any items you need for the job. In the same way, you can teach your child to distinguish and compare objects: ask him to bring you a large ball or a tray that is wider. When a child sees, feels, feels an object, it is much easier to teach him. Therefore, one of the main principles of teaching children the basics of mathematics is visibility. Make math aids, because it is better to count some specific objects, such as colored circles, cubes, strips of paper, etc.

An indispensable condition for the development of children mathematical creativity is enriched subject-spatial Wednesday. This is, first of all, the presence of interesting educational games, a variety of gaming materials as well as games fun math stuff.

primary goal: use entertaining material- Formation of ideas and consolidation of existing knowledge. At the same time, an indispensable condition is the use by the educator of games and exercises for the active manifestation of cognitive independence in children. children: the desire and ability to learn, to carry out effective mental operations.

When designing the "Entertaining Mathematics Corner" in the second junior group, we were guided by the following tasks: 1. Development of qualities.

Tasks: Mastering by children the ability to use the standards of forms: a ball, a cube, a circle, a square, a rectangle, a triangle; mastering simple connections.

The sensory development of a child is the development of his perception and the formation of ideas about the external properties of objects: size, shape, color.

"Design and content of the mathematical corner in the senior preparatory group"

Municipal budgetary preschool educational institution Syavsky kindergarten "Bell".

Performed: Bazanova Ludmila Alexandrovna Educator. Preparatory group No. 1 "Forget-me-not"

Math Corner- This is a specially designated place, which is equipped with mathematical aids, games, thematically selected books and materials.

Purpose: to promote the development of cognitive activity, logical thinking, the desire for independent knowledge and reflection.

Tasks: to develop mathematical abilities in children; interested in the subject of mathematics.

The corner is organized using a children's table and a shelf in a cozy, quiet and peaceful place. At the same time, free access of children to the materials used is provided. Thus, children are given the opportunity in their free time to choose the game they are interested in, a manual of mathematical content and play individually or together with other children, in a small subgroup.

The selection of game material corresponds to the capabilities and level of development of children of the senior preparatory group. A variety of mathematical material can be classified into 3 categories: entertainment; mathematical games and tasks; educational games and exercises. Each child can choose a game according to their interests. These are desktop-printed games, games for the development of logical thinking, puzzles, logic tasks, cubes, chess, educational books. Magnetic boards, counting sticks, sketchbooks, and a poster with mathematical problems were used to stimulate collective games and creative activity.

The composition of the mathematical corner may not change for a week or even two when both the teacher and the children constantly need to contact it. But, if a change in the material has occurred, the children should be pointed out to this or asked to notice it, given the opportunity to consider new mathematical material.

Entertaining mathematical corner gives its artistic design. Geometric ornaments, images from geometric shapes (houses, sun) were used for decoration.

It is safe to say that a new era has come - now the main role in human life is occupied by gadgets, new inventions, and scientific discoveries. Every day each person receives a huge flow of information. Dealing with him is not easy. This is only possible for those whose brain is highly rigid, who is used to thinking logically and processing not only auditory, but also visual information. All these skills should be developed from a very young age. Already in kindergarten, kids should receive their basis. The development of a science center in a preschool educational institution - a mathematical corner is taken as a starting point. It should be constantly updated, attract attention and interest pupils.

Goals of math corners in kindergartens

The corner of mathematics in kindergarten is created with the aim of stimulating the cognitive activity of children and encouraging them to various types of activities in order to obtain new mathematical knowledge and skills in accordance with their age category.

Mathematical corner in preschool educational institution (preschool educational institution)

The entertaining mathematics corner in kindergarten also performs a number of tasks:

  • enrichment and development of the group with materials and equipment that form the mathematical representations of preschoolers;
  • streamlining work on the formation of mathematical representations of preschool children. The concentration of all the necessary visual and didactic aids in one place simplifies the work of both the educator and the students who pass by such a corner several times a day. The information located in it is automatically deposited in their minds. The educator, in turn, evaluates which materials are sufficient and which are not enough, demonstrates them to colleagues, exchanges experience with them;
  • increasing children's interest in mathematics. If the corner is decorated brightly and colorfully, then this will attract the attention of even those who have problems with FEMP (the formation of elementary mathematical representations);
  • a mathematical corner develops in children an interest not only in ordinary games, but also in those where the manifestation of mental abilities is required;
  • developing the ability to work in a team. Where it is difficult to cope alone, it is easy with comrades. For example, when adding a picture of geometric shapes;
  • increasing self-esteem and developing self-confidence. Shy children are not always able to raise their hand in class, even when they know the correct answer. In the mathematical game, they will be able to fully demonstrate their knowledge, get the support of the teacher and other children.

Important! The mathematical corner should correspond to the level of preparation of children and their age characteristics. For example, in the younger group of preschool educational institutions, sensorimotor zones are formed, where the children learn the shape of the figures, their size, and develop fine motor skills.

Requirements for organizing a corner according to GEF

In order for the corner of mathematics to fully comply with federal state educational standards, you need to remember a number of factors at once.

Child safety and security:

  • the material equipment of the corner should not contain any items potentially hazardous to life and health (pea seeds, beans, buttons, beads, etc.). If bags are needed for the development of fine motor skills, for example, with beans, then they must be tightly tied or sewn up, and work with them must take place strictly under the supervision of a teacher;
  • do not use geometric shapes made of hard plastic. The child may get hurt by their corners. It is worth choosing either soft plastic or cardboard;
  • the places where toys are stored should be at the level of the child's eyes so that he does not have to reach for them or stand on a chair. All shelves must be firmly attached to the wall;
  • the corner should be in a well-lit place. Nearby there should be tables and chairs, behind which mathematical games will be held. They must match the height of the children.

Accessibility and age appropriateness of the group. All materials must be selected based on this criterion. You can take an additional three or four games to develop ahead of the curve from tasks for older children.

One of the criteria for designing a mathematical corner according to the Federal State Educational Standard is the variety of its content. The games contained in it should cover all those areas that are considered within the framework of the FEMP program.

Connection of mental, practical and experimental activities:

  • in accordance with the standard, children should not only be able to see the number in the picture and correlate the number of drawn objects with it, but also, using natural material, independently add this number, decompose it into parts, and perform other actions of interest to them;
  • it is important to have a wide choice of geometric materials in order for children to get a complete understanding of the shape and properties of the figures.

In the corner of mathematics, all conditions for creative self-expression and development of children should be created. There should be materials for modeling, and geometric coloring, even counting sticks that children like so much. Everything is limited only by the imagination of the teacher.

Important! It is necessary from the first day to teach children to clean up after themselves, put everything exactly on the shelves, put it in its place. This will help avoid clutter in the corner and teach "little mathematicians" discipline and responsibility.

Making a math corner

As already mentioned, each age period needs its own mathematical corner, with its own tasks that will be of interest to children of this particular group. This is the most important rule. With the guys of the senior and preparatory groups, you can jointly select the content of the corner, come up with a name for it.

In the younger group

Items for filling the corner in the younger group:

  • constructors (wooden or plastic) with various geometric shapes. When working together with a teacher, children learn how to correctly name objects, study their properties, size. Also, when comparing two identical figures made of different materials, the kids conclude that the weight does not depend on the shape;
  • mosaics and puzzles. They must be large in size so that the child does not swallow their parts. Thanks to these objects, children learn to determine the sides: up, down, right, left, and also to form creative thinking;
  • pyramids with rings of different sizes and shapes. Kids compare rings by size, try to put them on in the correct order, rejoice at the positive result;
  • nesting dolls. They are folded according to size, lined up in a row, trying to fold them evenly;
  • printed filling of the corner. For example, a poster with the seasons;
  • modern educational games.

Important! When decorating a corner, as a rule, it is decorated with characters from fairy tales and cartoons. For pupils of the younger group, many of the characters may still be unfamiliar, so you should pay attention to simple and beloved characters: a bunny, a fox, a cat, a bun.

Mathematical corner in the younger group

In the middle group

The mathematical corner in the middle group of the kindergarten is complemented by a large number of new items. The thinking of children of this age category becomes more abstract, and therefore these objects should be aimed at its active development.

  • Printed games. They can be purchased in a store or made independently (the latter should be wrapped in cellophane or laminated);
  • since children during this period want to study not only objects, but also smells, tactile sensations, tightly closed bottles can be placed in a corner, in which pieces of cloth soaked in various essential oils will be located (none of the children should be allergic to these smells );
  • children's musical instruments, for example, xylophone, glockenspiel, triangle. With their help, you can not only develop children's hearing, but also teach counting (by the number of strokes with a stick or keystrokes);
  • mathematical material is supplemented with games with numbers, numbers, counting;
  • notebooks with a printed basis for independent performance of mathematical tasks;
  • games like "Tangram", constructor "Lego", etc.

Important! In the middle group, children's interest in the same games is quickly lost, they no longer want to do what they have learned. Therefore, the filling of the corner should be updated at least once every two months, leaving only the most beloved and interesting toys.

Mathematical corner in the middle group

In the senior group

A feature of older preschool children is the development of abstract verbal thinking. During this period, they become more organized and disciplined, they want to achieve success and prove themselves not only in the classroom, but also in independent activities.

The content of the mathematical corner is replenished and expanded. It includes games for ingenuity and ingenuity such as “Find the extra”, “Where is the artist’s mistake?”, “It happens - it doesn’t happen”, etc. Games for comparing a number of objects at once on several grounds will also be interesting. For example, if the children of the middle group could line up a number of animals by height, then here you can line up a number of animals of the forest, Africa, etc., by height.

Developing literature appears in the mathematical corner. Children are very interested in finding answers to questions on their own, as well as learning something new. Various encyclopedias will help them with this, books with bright pictures will be especially interesting. It is worth explaining to children that no additional inscriptions can be made in books.

Note! Puzzles will also be interesting - both in printed notebooks and subject ones.

You can offer materials for the game "School", it is very popular with children at this age, like other role-playing games.

Mathematical corner in the senior group

Interesting mathematical material is not so easy to find, but with basic guidelines, you can cope with any task. This is especially true for young teachers who come to work in kindergarten for the first time. In order to avoid mistakes, they should seek help from older, more experienced colleagues, study the design of their mathematical corners, on the basis of which they can fulfill their own. First of all, it is necessary to take into account the age of the pupils and the characteristics of this period in the life of children. By combining this knowledge, the educator will be able to choose the right methodology and develop their own unique mathematical corner.

love math

In a preschool educational institution, it is very important for the teacher to do everything possible to instill in children an interest in mathematics. Then they will not have problems with this science in the future. In addition, well-prepared children with developed abstract-logical thinking will be more successful at school, not only in mathematics, but also in other classes. Mathematics develops the ability to think, and this is the main skill that is useful in all areas.
