6 weeks pregnant, all sensations disappeared. The first signs of pregnancy in the early stages

Many women wonder: am I pregnant or not? Especially at first, while pregnancy can be determined using an ultrasound scan or a gynecological examination no earlier than a month after conception. Unfortunately, living 3-4 weeks in ignorance is too painful for many women. Therefore, many of us pay attention to some characteristic signals. In particular, this is a delay in menstruation, an increase in the level of hCG in the blood, frequent urination, toxicosis, changes in the mammary glands, an increase in basal temperature, etc. If you do not have such manifestations or signs of pregnancy have disappeared, then this may be an imaginary pregnancy.

Quite often, those who want to get pregnant and do everything for this mistakenly feel pregnancy. Such a false pregnancy occurs in four out of a hundred women, mostly in suspicious and easily suggestible women.

What causes a false pregnancy?

desire or unwillingness to conceive;

- long-term infertility sometimes causes a false pregnancy;

- the feeling that the time allotted for childbearing is running out.

It should be noted that women with false pregnancies generally do not make up these symptoms on purpose, as they believe they are actually pregnant. That is why they have some of the above signs of pregnancy, while they are very similar to the symptoms of real pregnancy.

The most common symptom is a delay in menstruation, or rather weak discharge. These signs appear due to hormonal disorders, so until the false pregnancy passes, it is normal menstrual cycle cannot recover.

There are also signs such as engorgement in the mammary glands, vomiting or nausea.

Diagnosis of a false pregnancy

To determine whether you are pregnant or not, the doctor can during the first examination, or by performing an ultrasound scan. Note that with a false pregnancy there is no placenta in the uterus. The cause of such a pregnancy is quite often a violation of the endocrine system, tumors in the pelvic region, as well as an ectopic pregnancy.

As a rule, after a while, the woman’s body recovers, that is, vomiting and nausea disappear, a strong appetite, and the woman may notice that her signs of pregnancy have disappeared in such cases, she will have to:

- Wait for a real conception - if the pregnancy is desired;

- Rejoice - if this is an unwanted conception.

How to determine a frozen pregnancy in time?

In each trimester of pregnancy, the growth and development of the fetus depend on many factors (explicit and implicit). Sometimes it happens that an accidental combination of circumstances can lead to a halt in the development of the fetus. This is what in modern medicine is called a frozen pregnancy. How to recognize it?

This pathology has fairly accurate symptoms, so doctors can make a similar diagnosis without much difficulty.

The most important symptom is, of course, that any signs of pregnancy disappear completely. But in no case should you wind yourself up and make such a diagnosis yourself.

If you have any doubts, immediately contact your obstetrician-gynecologist. He will examine you and will do an ultrasound. Only after that the whole picture will become clear: did the child stop in development, or is it just your nerves being naughty.

The most certain symptoms of a missed pregnancy

Unfortunately, in the early stages there are no obvious signs of pregnancy fading. Such a diagnosis can be made after an ultrasound.

A woman may feel that toxicosis, gastronomic whims, pain in the mammary glands, etc. have abruptly stopped. But this does not mean that there is no more pregnancy.

Such a diagnosis can only be made by a gynecologist after an examination and identification of the following symptoms:

  • The fetus has no heartbeat;
  • The level of hCG in the blood of a pregnant woman has decreased

Signs of a missed pregnancy in the early stages

  • Eliminate toxicity. In women suffering from severe toxicosis, this fact will certainly cause unrest. Then you felt bad in the morning, you were sick from pungent odors, and suddenly everything returned to normal. But the second trimester is still quite far away.
  • Milk glands stop hurting and become softer. These manifestations of a missed pregnancy can be noticed by all women. The chest stops hurting 3-6 days after the death of the fetus.
  • Bloody issues. This clear sign of a miscarriage may only appear several weeks after the death of the fetus. Sometimes a small brownish discharge may appear, and then disappear. In such cases, women often think they “swept through”, but the fetus no longer develops.
  • Headache, weakness, fever(above 37.5), mild nausea - these symptoms are a bit similar to toxicosis, but some women observed them already 3-4 weeks after the pregnancy stopped. This is due to the fact that the decay products of the embryo enter the bloodstream.
  • Decreased basal body temperature- women who are very worried about the unborn baby can continue to measure basal temperature even after pregnancy. Most often, in the first trimester of pregnancy, the temperature stays around 37 degrees, when it fades, it drops sharply, because the body stops producing the hormones necessary for the development of the embryo.

But, unfortunately, not only in the first trimester of pregnancy, the embryo can stop developing, but also on later lines. If we talk about a missed miscarriage, then the risk persists until the 28th week.

Therefore, we will tell you about the signs of a missed pregnancy for more later dates because everyone should know them future mom.

Symptoms of a missed pregnancy at a later date

  • Cessation or absence of fetal movements. Usually, women begin to feel the baby's weak tremors at 18-20 weeks of pregnancy. It is from this moment that doctors recommend carefully monitoring the frequency of movements of the baby. The ideal option is more than 10 times a day. The number of movements will decrease, maybe only before childbirth, since the child is already large and there is not enough space for him. So, if you don’t feel the baby’s tremors for several hours, urgently go to the hospital. At first, this may be a sign of hypoxia (lack of oxygen), and if urgent measures are not taken, then pregnancy will fade.
  • The mammary glands have decreased in size, they lost tension, they softened. After intrauterine death of the baby, the mammary glands become soft for 3-6 days. This sign is very informative before the mother begins to feel the baby's movements.
  • Fetal heartbeat not heard. Of course, this symptom can only be accurately determined by ultrasound. However, after 20 weeks, the doctor can independently check the baby's heartbeat using a special obstetric stethoscope. An independent pregnant woman cannot check this sign in any way.

Not a single specialist will give you exact recommendations on how to identify a missed pregnancy at home. However, if you have any of the above symptoms, visit your OB/GYN. We talked to women who faced a similar problem, and they told us what they began to worry about during a missed pregnancy.

Missed pregnancy occurs in women of all ages. This problem arises due to the confluence of numerous factors and circumstances. You can prevent a frozen pregnancy by following the advice of your gynecologist and taking care of your health even at the planning stages of conceiving a child. In addition, every woman planning to become a mother should know the signs of fetal fading. Of course, you should not think about this problem all the time and try to find signs of pregnancy fading. In fact, such a pathology is not so common. According to the statistics of medical workers, there is only one case for 176 cases of normal pregnancies. But still, if you know the symptoms of fetal freezing, you can control your condition. What is a frozen pregnancy?

Frozen pregnancy is a pathology of the development of pregnancy, the danger of which most expectant mothers have no idea. A frozen (or not developing) pregnancy is a cessation of the development and growth of the fetus, its complete death. It can occur at all stages of pregnancy. The most common miscarriage occurs in the first trimester. Further development of events can provoke inflammatory processes in the body of a woman and other unpleasant consequences. A frozen pregnancy, the causes of which may be implicit, can definitely pose a serious danger to future offspring. Signs of a missed pregnancy may appear both at the earliest and at a later date. However, of course, the symptoms of a miscarriage in the second trimester are radically different from those in early pregnancy. How to determine a missed pregnancy in time?

Development and correct growth fetus at each stage of pregnancy depends on many explicit and implicit factors. Sometimes some combination of circumstances can lead to a halt in the development of the embryo and its death. This phenomenon is called a frozen pregnancy. The symptoms of a frozen pregnancy are quite accurate, the diagnosis of doctors is not difficult. The most important symptom, of course, is that the signs disappear developing pregnancy. However, do not self-diagnose. If you have any suspicions or signs of missed pregnancy, consult a doctor immediately. He will conduct an examination and ultrasound, after which the picture of the course of pregnancy will become clear: are there symptoms of a frozen fetus.

At what stage does a frozen pregnancy occur?

Knowing how a frozen pregnancy manifests itself, a woman can consult a doctor in time and begin immediate treatment. Usually this anomaly manifests itself in the earliest stages of pregnancy. The symptoms of a missed pregnancy in the later stages are different from those that occur in the earlier stages. At the same time, the expectant mother feels great: she has no pain and the slightest discomfort, toxicosis disappears, and a great appetite appears. But the life of the future person inside her has already stopped, and she does not even know about it. Meanwhile, if you have lost the symptoms of pregnancy, you need to urgently consult a doctor.

Frozen pregnancy - symptoms

Often, the first symptoms of a missed pregnancy in the early stages can only be found out at the next scheduled examination by a gynecologist. And this can happen even a few weeks after the onset of the problem, since a frozen pregnancy appears barely noticeable, without obvious signs. And now it turns out that the fetus does not have a heartbeat, its development has stopped. For any mother, this terrible diagnosis is a tragedy. It is difficult to imagine the grief that overwhelms her when she realizes the disaster that has happened. Symptoms of a missed pregnancy in the early and late stages

Frozen pregnancy in the early stages is often not accompanied by any obvious signs. The first "bell", which may indicate the occurrence of problems, may be the sudden cessation of toxicosis, provided that it manifested itself in a woman. In addition, all the obvious symptoms that indicate the presence of pregnancy disappear: a decrease in basal temperature, pain in the mammary glands. As a rule, a woman who is in early pregnancy may not attach importance to these symptoms. Frozen pregnancy at a later date manifests itself in different ways. It can be spotting and pain in the lower abdomen. Similar symptoms indicate the possibility of a miscarriage due to exfoliation of the fetal egg. Signs of a missed pregnancy in the later stages do not go unnoticed by a woman. Frozen pregnancy in the later stages is also characterized by the cessation of the baby's movements. Unfortunately, even experienced gynecologists do not undertake to say how to accurately determine a missed pregnancy at home. The woman's belly may enlarge as before, blood tests may indicate the presence of pregnancy. But, alas, it is not the fetus that develops, but the empty membrane inside. Causes of missed pregnancy in the early stages and later in the development of the fetus

There are many reasons for missed pregnancy: hormonal disorders in the body of a woman, chromosomal disorders in the fetus, chronic infections, acute infectious diseases, etc. However, the most common and common causes of this disease are the abuse of alcohol, cigarettes or drugs by the expectant mother, as well as such typical diseases, like herpes, chlamydia, toxoplasmosis, etc. Of course, if a woman who knows what a missed pregnancy threatens, wants to have a child, she will try to eliminate all these causes of a missed pregnancy in the early stages. Of course, in order to exclude the possibility of a frozen pregnancy, one should be attentive to the slightest changes during the bearing of a child. With this approach, the signs of an anomaly appear quite clearly. An attentive mother will notice that the fetus has stopped moving, pay attention to rare spotting and mild pain in the lower abdomen. The signs of a missed pregnancy in the second trimester are much more pronounced, so the diagnosis is always accurate. If you suspect a disease, you should immediately seek a thorough examination by a doctor. The doctor will not only assist you in an emergency delivery, but also establish the causes of a missed pregnancy in the later stages. Knowing the cause of the tragedy, in the future you can try to avoid it.

A pregnancy that does not develop in a normal way can be diagnosed in the following ways: on examination by a gynecologist, a frozen pregnancy, the signs of which are reflected in the size of the uterus, can be accurately diagnosed. The size of the uterus should be normal for the current month of pregnancy. On an ultrasound ultrasound procedure of the pelvic organs), frozen pregnancy is manifested by the absence of a fetal heartbeat, as well as anembryony. Anembryony is a disorder in which the fetal egg is completely empty and does not contain an embryo. This pathology can also be diagnosed on a hormonal blood test. Frozen pregnancy, the signs of which are manifested in the blood test by stopping or reducing the normal developing growth of the pregnancy hormone numbers. T. E. There is a deviation from the indicators characteristic of a normal pregnancy.

Consequences of a frozen pregnancy

Almost all women who have experienced such a shock are wondering what to do after a frozen pregnancy and whether it is possible to have children in the future. A frozen pregnancy, the consequences after which are mostly uncomplicated, does not always indicate a woman's inability to have children. In most cases, the causes of pregnancy fading in the early stages remain a mystery even to doctors. As a rule, the vast majority of women give birth to full-fledged and healthy children. Missed pregnancy, the cause of which, as a rule, is random and depends on many factors, does not mean the complete inability of a woman to have children in the future. If such cases are repeated repeatedly, then a missed pregnancy, the treatment of which requires a full examination of both members of the couple, may indicate an inability to bear a child. It is quite difficult to identify signs of a missed pregnancy in the early stages. This is due to the fact that the signs of a normal pregnancy at such times are different for all women. However, the fact that a frozen pregnancy is a heavy burden on both the physical health of a woman and her psychological state is an indisputable fact. Therefore, after appropriate treatment, a woman will need some time to recover. It is better to start thinking about a child after three or six months. It is very important to undergo an appropriate examination by a doctor in order to determine possible deviations and prevent a repeated missed pregnancy. During this time, you should take care of the health of both partners: do not drink alcohol, stop smoking, take enough vitamins. In addition, do not forget about the psychological factor: a future mother who has undergone such a complication may need the help of a specialist in order to overcome fears and worries and give birth to a healthy and full-fledged baby in the future. What to do after the discovery of a missed pregnancy?

Frozen pregnancy, the treatment of which must begin after the final diagnosis is made, usually leads to miscarriage. If a miscarriage is detected, the doctor may choose the following treatment options: Wait until a miscarriage occurs. This will become a natural course of this pathology due to a decrease in placental hormones. For up to eight weeks, the doctor may prescribe special drugs that will cause a miscarriage. The specialist may also surgical intervention- Curettage of the uterine cavity. After scraping with a frozen pregnancy, therapy with an antibacterial effect is performed. Two weeks later, an ultrasound scan is mandatory to assess postoperative recovery. Many women are concerned about the question: how long can you walk with a frozen pregnancy? Gynecologists do not give a definite answer. It could be a week, or two, or a month. That is why it is so important to visit a doctor in a timely manner. Recovery and treatment after a missed pregnancy

Treatment after a missed pregnancy begins with an examination of the mother and father to prevent a recurrence of the situation in the future. Both spouses are tested for sex hormones and thyroid hormones, which undergo a thorough examination. This will help to establish and eliminate the causes that provoked the appearance of pathology. Further, for the prevention of the woman's body, treatment includes careful contraception and good nutrition containing multivitamins. These measures strengthen the body and prepare the woman for future pregnancy. How to avoid a missed pregnancy in the future?

Mothers who have had this disease think about how to avoid a frozen pregnancy in the future already at the first stages of pregnancy planning. Experts recommend that women after a frozen pregnancy be sure to consult a doctor and undergo an individual examination. The plan for such an examination is drawn up based on the personal characteristics of the woman's body and the history of her illness. But still, the main standard diagnostic examinations that are shown to absolutely all women during the recovery period after a missed pregnancy and planning for re-conception are: Ultrasound (ultrasound examination) of all organs of the small pelvis blood test that will show the level of autoantibodies and homocysteine detection of possible urogenital diseases ( smears) examination of the thyroid gland and determination of its hormonal level in the blood ToRHC-complex (identification of infections that are dangerous for pregnant women)

Such measures are urgently needed, as the prevention of a miscarriage helps reduce the risk of a recurrence of the tragedy and increases your chances of becoming a happy mother.

Summing up, it must be said that spouses planning to have a child must definitely understand how a frozen pregnancy manifests itself, how to avoid and treat it. This will make it possible to eliminate the causes unfavorable for pregnancy in time, as well as to detect the symptoms of the disease and take measures that will increase the likelihood of adverse consequences of a miscarriage. For a young and healthy woman, there is nothing more natural than pregnancy, although for many this condition, especially at the beginning, is marked by a deterioration in well-being. But the problems do not scare, on the contrary, they give confidence that everything is developing as it should. It becomes alarming when the signs of early pregnancy suddenly disappear. Does this indicate its failure?

The desire to have a child makes many women almost psychic. At the very least, they claim to have felt the emergence of new life before more definite signs appeared. And yet, pregnancy changes the functioning of the body so much that there are clear from the first weeks:

  • (mainly in the morning), vomiting;
  • menstruation stops;
  • due to increased blood circulation in the uterus, a tingling sensation is detected, sometimes mild pain;
  • swells, becomes more, nipples hurt, their color darkens;
  • are changing;
  • there is a need to urinate more often;
  • in the stomach there is a feeling of fullness;
  • fatigue quickly overtakes, drowsiness appears.

This is a general list of features. initial stage pregnancy. The individual characteristics of the organism can expand or narrow it, make some manifestations more noticeable. Some of these symptoms may not bother you at all. But if it suddenly turns out that the state of health has completely returned to its previous features, this causes legitimate excitement about whether the signs of pregnancy may disappear. After all, it is well known that they are present for at least 3 months.

Natural explanation for the disappearance of signs of pregnancy

The listed signs of the presence of an embryo in the body are among the possible ones. Changes in well-being are caused by a quantitative increase in progesterone. This hormone exists to ensure the conditions for the development of the fetus, that is, the formation of the membranes that feed and protect it, and retention in the uterus. But the influence of the substance is not limited to this, it controls the functions of many organs.

The new hormonal background for the body is unusual, the concentration of substances is unstable. Therefore, a woman can feel how the signs of pregnancy come and go.

This is normal at its early stage, in which adaptation takes place, the addiction of the mother's body to the embryo. But even in the case when all the symptoms have ceased to be felt, it is not necessary to suspect the worst.

Nausea is gone

For many, nausea is the most distressing symptom of pregnancy. But suddenly it ceases to be felt at all, and the former stimuli no longer act. What does this mean? One of the variants of the norm, which has a double explanation:

  • The body gets used to the new balance of hormones. First of all, this concerns the brain and nervous system that controls the gag reflex.
  • Digestion also adapts to the increased amount of progesterone.

For some, it goes faster, respectively, and nausea only bothers them for a couple of weeks. Others suffer from it almost the entire pregnancy. The third lucky women generally do not remember their disgust for food and smells for the entire period. So if the signs of pregnancy of this series have disappeared, there is no reason for fear.

Belly returned to normal

Pain in the abdomen is caused by two organs - the uterus and intestines. They are explained by the process of implantation of the embryo and the flow of blood into this zone. As soon as the body gets used to the increased presence of biological fluid, the state of health in this area of the body normalizes.

The intestines at the beginning of pregnancy can force you to frequently run to the toilet due to the progesterone that enhances its motility. Therefore, in the stomach, pain and distension, gases are disturbing. But the cells of the intestine become less susceptible to the substance over time. And the enlarged uterus interferes with his active motor skills.

Chest is soft

When the symptoms of pregnancy have disappeared in the area of \u200b\u200bthe mammary glands, a real panic arises. In most cases, it is not justified. There is still a long time before the first feeding, so the process of preparing the breast for milk production may simply be slower. Some have a problem with lactation, which is not very good for the baby, but does not prevent gestation. Other women have such a structure of the mammary glands that the expansion of the ducts does not squeeze the lobules, therefore it does not provoke discomfort in the chest and nipples.

In addition, with a high pain threshold, a woman ceases to perceive the sensation as sharply as at the very beginning. The chest remains sensitive, but it is easier to bear, and therefore it seems that the symptom has disappeared.

Bladder calmed down

It is characteristic of pregnant women due to increased blood circulation. The temperature rises in the pelvic area, so the bladder is easily irritated. It needs to be emptied even though the volume of liquid is small. And when everything returns to normal, it seems to be a sign of trouble.

You shouldn't think like that. The bladder will still remind of itself when the fetus becomes larger and the uterus increases. But at an early stage of pregnancy, fluid retention can occur in other parts of the body. And the walls of the organ get used to the increased blood supply, not reacting to it as sharply as at the very beginning.

There were discharges with blood

In pregnant women, it is not a sign of a threat to the condition at a very early stage, when the embryo is fixed in the uterine wall. But this is a one-time event, not everyone is accompanied by the release of blood.

Even pregnancy can occur against the background of hormonal deficiency. And although it is corrected with pills, some women have monthly on days that coincide with the critical schedule. Sometimes this sign and excellent health do not allow pregnancy to be detected until the time of an increase in the abdomen.

When improving well-being in early pregnancy is dangerous

It’s worth starting to worry when the signs of pregnancy have suddenly disappeared. Sometimes this indicates its reverse development. If a woman has health problems, obvious or not previously detected, the fetus may stop growing. It does not enter the blood, her body returns to its previous state. The level of progesterone also falls, which causes the absence of pregnancy symptoms.

They can also leave when the body is ready to reject the fetus. It will show up as follows:

  • cramps in the abdomen, which are strong or come and go;
  • appearing even in small quantities.

It requires emergency hospitalization. Only she leaves a chance to save the fetus.

The fact that the symptoms of pregnancy disappeared in the early stages, in most cases, is not a threat to the situation. But this must be confirmed with the help of a gynecologist, to whom a woman should appear at the slightest disturbing signs and outside the visiting schedule.

After all, suspiciousness can lead to miscarriage or unfavorable development of the fetus, even when there are no other reasons for this.

6 weeks pregnant means the start of the second calendar month new state of woman. It seems that before the birth of a child is still so far away - more than six months! However, many women have no time to think about it. After all future baby actively developing, and your own body constantly requires attention!

We consider the term

From a medical point of view, the sixth week is a little over a month from the first day of the last menstruation. This calculation of the term is called obstetric. There is an embryonic method of counting - from the moment of the alleged ovulation. Usually it comes in the middle of the cycle. Therefore, the embryonic period lags behind the obstetric one by two weeks. The sixth week from conception (from ovulation) is the eighth obstetric week.

And if the menstruation of a woman was not regular? This happens against the background of the abolition of hormonal contraceptives, certain diseases or individual characteristics of the body. Then the doctor will calculate the term differently. For example, by the size of the fetus (measured by ultrasound). Or by the first movement of the fetus - if a woman is preparing to become a mother for the first time, this will happen at about 20 weeks (ie, movement).

Why do doctors need such precision? They must calculate the EDD - the expected date of birth. It will be calculated later maternity leave and issued sick leave.

Mom and baby at 6 weeks: what's going on?

The future baby continues to develop rapidly. Feelings of every woman on the 6th obstetric week are individual. In some cases, expectant mothers are just learning about their new condition. One feels great, but at the same time she worries: where is the toxicosis? Another is already struggling with morning sickness. Depending on how you feel and your appetite, you may experience slight weight gain or loss.

Confirmation of pregnancy

There are four main methods to help you determine the new state. You can do a pharmacy test, take a blood test for hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) or undergo an ultrasound scan.

The test will certainly show two stripes. HCG is one of the hormones of pregnancy, so its increased content in the blood is a clear confirmation. An ultrasound scanner will show a tiny embryo. It will look like a light dot or comma on a dark background of the uterine cavity.

A gynecological examination will also say yes. At the sixth obstetric week, the doctor will definitely feel a slightly grown uterus, in which a small life is intensively developing.

However, the belly of the expectant mother looks the same as before. A barely noticeable thickening can be seen only in very thin women or in those who have recently gained a little weight.

Fetal development

Your baby is like

What does the future baby look like?

The largest parts of the body are the head and torso. The arms and legs are tiny processes with tubercles-fingers. The size of the fetus (more precisely, the embryo) at the 6th obstetric week reaches 4 mm, weight - up to 2 g. And here is how its development goes:

  • the limbs gradually lengthen, knee and elbow bends are outlined;
  • fingers grow a little;
  • cartilaginous structures develop, that is, future bones;
  • the formation of the brain begins, the bone marrow is in its infancy;
  • the external genitalia are barely marked;
  • the inner ear begins to develop;
  • the thymus (thymus gland), the most important organ of immunity, is formed;
  • lungs, heart, liver, stomach and pancreas continue to develop;
  • the neural tube becomes the embryonic nervous system;
  • muscle tissue is still developing rapidly.

The tiny heart regularly counts about 140 beats per minute. Is it a lot or a little? There is such a law in nature - the smaller the heart of a living being, the faster it beats. Therefore, such a “pulse” in the embryo is in the order of things. So far, only a specialist can determine the heartbeat during an ultrasound scan.

By the way, the baby has a tiny tail. This is like a reminder that we are all children of Nature (after all, many living creatures on Earth have tails). A little later, the tail will pull inward and become the tip of the spine.

And here is a new miracle - the placenta develops, the umbilical cord is formed. The baby is no longer pressed tightly against the wall of the fetal egg. He swims freely in the amniotic fluid and makes his first movements. But mom will not be able to feel it very soon. But she feels a lot more.

Toxicosis of pregnant women

At the 6th obstetric week, many “get acquainted” with this condition. The most common symptoms of toxicosis:

  1. Nausea in the morning or during the day. Every expectant mother can have “her own” time.
  2. Vomit. Not every bout of nausea ends with it. Normally, the body rejects food in this way. If you drink a large number of fluids, it can also lead to stomach cramps and vomiting.
  3. Changing food habits. Favorite food suddenly begins to cause disgust, and some foods, on the contrary, you want to eat and eat endlessly. Such quirks can be multiple: today “pulls” for sauerkraut, and tomorrow you want salted fish. Sometimes the expectant mother becomes an unbearable capricious, because food desires are sometimes unbearable.
  4. A woman's sense of smell can be sharply aggravated. At the same time, many smells cause a feeling of rejection, they can even throw up.

All these signs indicate increased work of hormones. Toxicosis of pregnant women is not a disease, but a special condition. But if a pregnant woman tolerates it with great difficulty, you need to see a doctor. What to pay attention to?

  1. The body rejects any food during the day.
  2. Vomiting occurs not only after eating, but also after drinking.
  3. Vomiting and / or nausea practically does not go away.
  4. Significant weakness develops from lack of nutrition.

Other indicators

Even without toxicosis at the 6th obstetric week, the expectant mother is full of various experiences that are associated with her pregnancy.

Physical sensations (not counting morning sickness) and signs/symptoms of pregnancy may include:

  • drowsiness at any time of the day;
  • constant feeling of fatigue;
  • frequent inability to concentrate;
  • feeling of lack of air;
  • increased sensitivity of the nipples, their darkening;
  • salivation and slight runny nose without a cold;
  • more frequent urge to urinate;
  • the skin may become more loose and problematic (pimples appear);
  • swelling and even tingling of the mammary glands.

Some women notice that they perceive cold or heat differently. Changes may vary. For example, even in the light summer heat, everything around seems like a red-hot oven. And if it’s cold outside, then the expectant mother doesn’t “warm up” in any way - she’s not cold anyway. It happens the other way around: at any time of the year you always want to wrap yourself up properly.

Emotional signs:

  • mood swings from euphoria to depression;
  • hypersensitivity (not the most touching movie causes a stream of tears);
  • feeling that there is a conspiracy of misunderstanding around, a feeling of alienation.

The expectant mother continually asks: “Why is this happening?” There is only one answer: pregnancy hormones are to blame. They literally flooded the female blood and rage there in full force. Their job is to save the future baby, reconcile it with the mother's body. This will have to endure. However, there are also worrying signs. If they appear, you may need to see a doctor.

What to look out for - abdominal pain and discharge

  • Pulls the stomach

Expectant mothers often note that their stomach seems to be pulling. If this feeling is barely noticeable, you should not worry. It may be due to the gradual internal tension of the uterine ligaments.

And yet, the gestation period of 6 weeks is an unsafe time. So the expectant mother needs to carefully listen to herself. If the stomach still hurts for real and the pain intensifies in the evening, there is cause for alarm. Especially if smearing brown discharge appears from time to time. These could all be signs of a miscarriage or missed pregnancy.

If the stomach hurts not below, but above, on the right or left, the doctor may suspect ectopic pregnancy. In this case, the woman should receive qualified assistance as soon as possible.

  • Allocations

There are no obvious reasons for concern if the spotting is one-time and very insignificant. They may appear for a while. But the doctor must know about them.

Real bleeding, similar to menstruation, is the most dangerous and signals the threat of a miscarriage.

Small, light vaginal discharge is safe and means normal secretion of the mucous membranes. You will have to go to the doctor in several cases:

  • too much mucus;
  • highlighting a pronounced yellow color;
  • it is rather not about mucus, but about “cottage cheese”;
  • discharge has an unpleasant odor.

Similar symptoms mean possible inflammatory or infectious processes. They are unfavorable for the unborn baby, therefore, they require observation and treatment.

Complications

Every expectant mother wants an easy pregnancy and a successful birth. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.

  • Miscarriage is the rejection of the embryo by the body. Some causes of this complication are genetic and do not depend on the woman. Sometimes a miscarriage can be the result of the negligence of the expectant mother - for example, when she goes to the sauna or starts home repairs.
  • Ectopic pregnancy - this is the fixation of the fetus “out of place”. In this case, there is only one way out - an artificial interruption in an operative way. Now, after such operations, a woman can still have children, but an attempt is allowed to be made no earlier than six months later.
  • Fading pregnancy - this is the cessation of the development of the embryo without its rejection. Then the main medical measures will be aimed at ridding the woman of the dead embryo. This is usually done by stimulating uterine contractions.
  • Artificial termination of pregnancy, or abortion, does not apply to complications. This happens if the pregnancy is unwanted and the woman decides not to have a baby. By medical standards, it's not too late. It is only important that a woman go for an abortion with full awareness of the responsibility for her decision.

To experience the joys of future motherhood, a woman needs to follow a number of recommendations. The main ones are about nutrition. It is also important to pay attention to your health and life in general.

Nutrition

The main signs of "pregnant" food:

  • benefit for mother and baby;
  • good absorption by the body;
  • availability.
  1. Meat should not be fatty.
  2. Fish, on the contrary, it is advisable to buy fatty varieties - it contains important food acids.
  3. Approximately one third of the food should consist of fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as dried fruits.
  4. Dairy and sour-milk products should be in the diet of the expectant mother every day.
  5. It is advisable to consume porridge daily.
  6. Products don't have to be "fast". Cereals in bags, noodles in boxes and powdered potatoes in jars should be a thing of the past.
  7. If the products require heat treatment, it is better to steam or bake.
  8. If possible, canned, smoked and spicy foods should be avoided.
  9. The strength and amount of tea and natural coffee will have to be reduced.

Not every dish embodies all the advantages. Somewhere a compromise is needed. If you want fresh mushrooms in winter (accessibility point), you will most likely have to get by with frozen ones. And when the body with horror “refuses” steam trout and demands canned tuna, will it be easy to resist?

The absolute waiver only applies to alcohol. Even a small dose of alcohol can cause serious pathologies embryo development.

With toxicosis, the first morning meal is best done without getting out of bed.

Mom and baby health

Taking care of your own health is now especially important for a woman. Just a few simple rules help avoid problems.

  1. Crowds should be avoided, especially during epidemics of viral and other infections.
  2. X-ray examinations are not allowed.
  3. It is advisable not to use household chemicals with a high ammonia content ( ammonia) and chlorine.
  4. I need to quit smoking urgently.
  5. Medicines - only allowed for pregnant women and only as directed by a doctor.
  6. Avoiding direct contact with pets is important to avoid possible exposure to toxoplasmosis. Adults can tolerate this disease and not even notice it, and it is extremely dangerous for the embryo.
  7. It is advisable to visit a doctor, confirm the uterine pregnancy and undergo the first general and specific tests. The doctor will prescribe a urine test, a vaginal smear, and blood tests for a number of infections and diseases. In addition, the specialist recommends vitamins for pregnant women and folic acid, which is very important for the proper development of the unborn baby.

Special way of life

All actions, all behavior of a woman should take into account her special condition.

  1. With constant fatigue, it is better not to go to visits and / or noisy events.
  2. Emotions - only positive! It is important not to succumb to negativity and bouts of bad mood.
  3. The sex life of future parents does not need to be changed if it still brings convenience to both. But if something bothers the expectant mother in intimate life, the problem needs to be solved. Do not be silent about discomfort and be afraid to offend your partner. Only trust and frankness will help establish a new sexual rhythm. There is one important point A: Rough, aggressive sex can cause miscarriage.
  4. It is better to refuse to watch bloody action films, dramas with violent scenes and “horror films”. Against the background of hormonal changes, the expectant mother can survive the most natural stress, and the embryo will suffer. After all, a real impulse of fear, negativity and hopelessness will come to him through the blood of his mother.
  5. If before a woman did not observe the daily routine, it's time to start. A measured lifestyle will help defeat both chronic fatigue and toxicosis.

To whom and how to report pregnancy?

In the next few weeks, the expectant mother will face the question more than once: to whom and when to tell about her new condition? And how do you report it?

The first on the list will, of course, be the father of the child. How exactly he finds out about the onset of pregnancy, each woman must decide for herself. It could be romantic dinner or almost businesslike. In one old film, an artist wife literally played a prank on her husband: she painted him with a huge “pregnant” belly. It is only important to remember that the words “oh, we flew with you” give off a very frivolous attitude towards the future appearance of a baby in the family.

Perhaps the future father was already aware of the delay in menstruation of his beloved woman, and therefore he himself will ask her about the results of the test or analyzes.

Let the older children (if they already exist), potential grandparents and other relatives find out about everything when the future parents are prepared for this.

The employer should be aware of the employee's pregnancy as early as possible if the woman has harmful and / or difficult working conditions. She is entitled to a better working environment. But if there is nowhere to hurry, you can wait a bit - the tummy will not appear soon.

The sixth week of pregnancy will not be a difficult time if the expectant mother takes care of herself and her baby.
