Knitted sweater for a baby with knitting needles. We knit the first things - blouses for newborns

1. COMFORTABLE BABY KNITTED CLOTHES

Every loving mom tries to provide her newborn baby with the best, most comfortable and safe clothes. Mom wants to see her beloved baby not only in comfortable, but also beautiful clothes. And it’s not at all necessary to spend the already scarce time (and a lot of money) looking for suitable attire for the crumbs. You can knit clothes suitable for the child with your own hands.

On the pages of the site, we have already posted interesting master classes and video tutorials on knitting booties, slips, blouses, bodysuits, sliders, skirts, sundresses, hats for newborn babies.

In this material you will find step by step lessons, diagrams and a description of the stages of knitting summer and winter clothes for newborn girls.

Knitting needles can knit very beautiful and exclusive outerwear for babies, as well as comfortable booties or socks. It is known that future mothers already during pregnancy begin to knit a "dowry" for the long-awaited baby. And if they don’t know how to knit, then they are diligently trying to master this interesting and useful needlework technique.
Learning to knit is not at all difficult, and by the time the girl is born, mommy already manages to knit cute caps, beautiful hats with flowers and even more complex things - booties, overalls, sweaters with her own hands.

According to many knitters, knitting or crocheting seems like a difficult job at first. But having knitted a few little things for children with her own hands and gained experience, any woman may well take on more complex models (knit on 4 or more knitting needles).

Knitting for young children is necessary from high-quality and hypoallergenic yarn. Do not choose yarn from 100 percent. wool, as children's clothes knitted from such threads can cause irritation in a newborn girl. It is desirable that only natural fibers are included in the composition of children's yarn.

All knitted clothes for newborn babies must be made of acrylic, not wool. Pure wool can irritate delicate baby skin or cause allergies. If you do not have experience in choosing yarn for knitting for children, then we recommend that you evaluate the softness of the yarn as follows: run a ball over your lips, cheeks, and wrists. If the yarn does not prick the delicate skin in these areas and is soft, then it is most likely suitable for knitting clothes for newborns.

Before starting work, knit a sample to determine the choice of knitting needles and calculate the required number of loops and rows in the main fabric.

2. HOW TO CONNECT BEAUTIFUL BOOTOES FOR A NEWBORN GIRL

The easiest option for knitting comfortable shoes for a baby with knitting needles:

Cast on 15 stitches per needle.
knit with an elastic band 1/1 7 cm.

Then we knit in circular rows.
It is necessary to dial 60 loops, distributing 15 loops on the knitting needles.
Knit in stockinette stitch for 2cm. In the next row we knit loops together with 1 typed circular row. You can use a hook for convenience.

Now we knit with an elastic band 1/1 2 cm. We divide the canvas 23 loops in the front and 37 loops in the back. In every second row, we decrease 1 loop twice on both sides of the front and back.

There should be 52 stitches left on the needles.
Then you need to knit separately.

On the back side (33 loops) knit with front stitch 2 cm.

On the front side, we continue to knit with an elastic band 1/1, decreasing on both sides, one loop in every second row, until 5 loops remain. Then you need to close the loops.

Bend the back side of the canvas, hem.
It remains only to thread the lace.

Made from super-refined German Baby Wool yarn from Schachenmayr. If you still have about 125 grams of this yarn, then you can also knit such a blouse for newborns. Together, a hat and blouse will be an excellent winter knitted set for newborns.

For a knitted button-down blouse for newborns, you will need

  • Delicate wool baby yarn Baby Wool from Schachenmayr (in a skein about 25 grams per 85 meters). The total weight of yarn for knitting a blouse for newborns is 125 grams per child aged 1-2 months (150 grams per child aged 7-9 months; 175 grams per child 1-2 years). If you use Schachenmayr's Baby Wool yarn, which we knitted with, then take natural tone No. 00002.
  • Ordinary needles with a diameter of 2.5 mm or 3.5 mm (select those needles that are most suitable for achieving the knitting density indicated below).
  • 4 buttons in white (or any other color to match the yarn used). The approximate diameter of the buttons is 8 mm.

The size knitted blouse for a newborn: 62‑68 (74-80; 86-92) - these numbers correspond to the height of the child in centimeters. The first digits before brackets indicate the child's age of 1-2 months, then the first digits in brackets indicate the child's age of 7-9 months, the last digits in brackets indicate the child's age of 1-2 years.

Patterns for knitting a blouse with buttons for a newborn

Double elastic, used in this model as a “embossed stripes” pattern: we knit, alternating, 2 facial loops and 2 purl loops.

Knitting a “braid”: in the front or odd rows we knit with a pattern according to the pattern, in the back or even rows we knit loops according to the pattern, that is, as they lie.

When making the back of a knitted blouse with buttons for newborns, the left front and sleeves of a knitted blouse for newborns, we start knitting in the 1st row after the hem loop, as shown in the diagram, constantly repeating the rapport of 7 loops, knitting the remaining loops and hem stitches accordingly.

Density of knitting blouses for newborns

We knit 32 loops on 38 rows with “braids” and measure the data sample, which should be 10 cm long and the same number of centimeters in height.

Description of knitting blouses for newborns

Knitting the back of a knitted blouse for newborns:

cast on 79 sts (86 sts; 100 sts) and knit with a braid pattern, with the first row knit on the right side. Having connected 10 cm (12 cm; 14 cm), which is equal to 38 rows (46 rows; 54 rows) from the beginning of work, close 2 loops from each edge to form armholes, then in each 2nd row 5 times 1 loop. Thus we get 65 loops (72 loops; 86 loops). Having connected 20 cm (23 cm; 26 cm), which is equal to 76 rows (88 rows; 100 rows) from the beginning of work, close 6 loops (8 loops; 10 loops) to form the bevel of the shoulder and in each 2nd row 2 times 7 loops (7 loops; 9 loops). At the same time, when performing the last decrease, cast off the remaining 25 loops (28 loops; 30 loops) for the neckline. The total length of the back of a knitted blouse for a newborn should be 21 cm (24 cm; 27 cm).

Knitting the left shelf of a knitted blouse for newborns:

we collect 20 loops (24 loops; 31 loops) and knit with a braid pattern. At the same time, to complete the rounding, we again dial along the left edge at the end of the 1st front row 1 time 6 loops, then in each 2nd row 1 time 4 loops and 2 times 2 loops, we knit a “braid”, then we knit 4 times in each 2nd row and 1 time in every 4th row along the left edge in front of the edge loop in accordance with the pattern 1 front loop or 1 purl loop crossed from a transverse thread. We get 39 loops as a result of this (43 loops; 50 loops). The “braid” ends on the left edge with 4 front loops of the “braid” and an edge loop - for size 62/68 (1 front loop and an edge loop for sizes 74-80 and 86-92).

Having connected 10 cm (12 cm; 14 cm), that is, 38 rows (46 rows; 54 rows) from the beginning of work, we close 7 loops, as on the back. In order to knit the recess under the armhole, there should be 32 loops (36 loops; 43 loops) on the needles. At a height of 16 cm (19 cm; 22 cm), that is, at a height of 60 rows (72 rows; 84 rows) from the beginning of work, we close 6 loops (7 loops; 8 loops) along the left edge to cut the neck and then in each 2- m row 1 time 2 loops and 4 times 1 loop (5 times 1 loop; 5 times 1 loop).

When it is 20 cm (23 cm; 26 cm), that is, 76 rows (88 rows; 100 rows) from the beginning of knitting the left shelf of a knitted blouse for newborns, close along the right edge to form a bevel of the shoulder 20 loops (22 loops; 28 loops) like on the back. The length of the left shelf of a knitted blouse for a newborn should be 21 cm (24 cm; 27 cm).

Knitting the right shelf of a knitted blouse for newborns:

we knit similarly to the left shelf, but observing symmetry in relation to making recesses under the armhole and neck. We start knitting a “braid” in the 1st row with 2 purl loops after the edge loop - this is for size 62/68, from 3 front loops after the edge loop - this is for sizes 74/80 and 86/92. To perform rounding along the right edge, we again collect loops at the end of the purl row or in front of the edge loop from the transverse thread.

Knitting sleeves of a knitted blouse for newborns:

we collect 42 loops (42 loops; 50 loops), we knit 2 cm with a double elastic band, that is, with a “embossed stripes” pattern; we start with a purl row and in the last purl row we evenly add 9 loops (9 loops; 8 loops). Thus, after the increase, you should get 51 loops (51 loops; 58 loops). Next, we knit "oblique". At the same time, we add to form an extension of the sleeve in the 3rd row from the elastic 1 time, 1 loop on both sides, then 9 times, 1 loop in each 4th row - this is for size 62/68 (10 times 1 loop in each 4 row and 2 times 1 loop in each 2nd row - this is for size 74/80; 4 times 1 loop in each 6th row and 8 times 1 loop in each 4th row for size 86 / 92). There should be a total of 71 sts (77 sts; 84 sts).

Having connected 11 cm (14 cm; 17 cm), that is, 42 rows (52 rows; 64 rows) from the elastic, we close 2 loops from each edge to get the sleeves, then in each 2nd row 5 times 1 loop, 2 times 2 loops, 2 times 4 loops and the remaining 33 loops (39 loops; 46 loops). The length of the knitted sleeve of a knitted blouse for newborns should be 18 cm (21 cm; 24 cm).

By the same principle we knit the second sleeve.

Sewing knitted details of a knitted blouse for newborns

We carry out seams on the sides of the blouse, seams on the sleeves and sew the sleeves into the armholes.

In order to tie the strips of the shelves and the lower strip of the back, we cast on circular knitting needles 30 loops (41 loops; 48 loops) along the straight section of the edge of the left shelf, 18 loops along the rounding of the shelf, 18 loops (21 loops; 29 loops) along the section to the side seam - in total, you should get 66 loops (80 loops; 95 loops), then we collect 72 loops (80 loops; 94 loops) along the typesetting edge of the back, 66 loops (80 loops; 95 loops) along the edges of the right shelf = 204 loops in total ( 240 loops; 284 loops). We knit these cast-on loops with “embossed stripes”, that is, with a double elastic band, starting the 1st row on the wrong side from 2 purl loops after the edge loop. In the 2nd row we make 3 holes for buttons on the bar of the left shelf. To do this, starting from the edge of the neckline, we knit an edge loop and 6 loops (10 loops; 12 loops), 2 loops together with a “embossed stripes” pattern, 1 yarn over, we make rapport, starting from an asterisk, like this: * 8 loops (12 loops ; 14 loops), 2 loops with a “embossed stripes” pattern, 1 yarn over - repeat this group of loops 1 more time, knit the remaining loops according to the pattern. In the next row, we knit the crochets with a “embossed stripes” pattern. We knit 5 rows and close all the loops.

To knit the inlay of the neck, we cast on circular knitting needles 72 loops (76 loops; 80 loops) along the entire neckline, including the edges of the slats, and knit with a “embossed stripes” pattern, starting on the wrong side from 2 purl loops after the edge loop B 3- m row we knit an edge loop and 2 front loops for the 4th hole for the button, make 1 yarn over, knit the next 2 purl loops together, in the next row we knit the yarn over with front loops. We knit 5 rows for the inlay, close all the loops. Sew on buttons.

2.

This is a continuation of the knitting kit for a newborn baby (and up to 3 months). In the last part, I showed how to knit, and in this part we will knit a blouse with knitting needles with a collar.

The blouse is knitted with raglan from the neck. This will allow, if desired, to easily increase the length of the sleeves or the front and back of the product.

The blouse according to this scheme is designed for ages up to 3 months.

Calculation of loops for knitting a raglan blouse from above:

The circumference of the neck of a three-month-old child is 22 cm, and the knitting density is 2.5 p × 1 cm. 2 cm will be the width of the strap, which means the neck circumference should be 20 cm. Based on this, loops should be calculated.

20 × 2.5 = 50 sts
From the resulting number, you need to subtract the number of loops of one raglan line (3 p), multiplied by 4.
50 - 12 = 38 p
This number should be divided into 3 parts, adding the remainder to the middle:

  • back - 12 p;
  • 2 shelves - 14 p (7 p each);
  • 2 sleeves - 12 p (6 p each).
  • back - 12 p;
  • 2 shelves - 20 p (10 p each);
  • 2 sleeves - 6 p (3 p each).

Scheme

Ragged line. The raglan line of this model consists of 3 persons. n. To expand the canvas on both sides of it, it is necessary to make an increase in every 2nd row. They should be knitted according to the pattern with a “columns” pattern.

Knitted blouse for a baby up to 3 months old (raglan on top) - a master class for beginners:

Beginning of work. Cast on the knitting needles No. 4 of the auxiliary thread 50 p and knit faces. stitch 3 rows.

Change to green yarn and work one row (zero row) out. p. Its loops should be distributed as follows: 10 p of the right shelf (PP), 3 p of raglan (R), 3 p of the right sleeve (PR), 3 p R, 12 p of the back (C), 3 p R, 3 p left sleeve (LR), 3 p R, 10 p left shelf (LR). Place markers or pins at the borders of all ragged lines and every 3 n shelves.
In order to make the neckline on the back less deep than on the shelves, partial knitting is used.
1 row: 10 p PP, 1 yarn over (N), 3 p R, 1 N, 3 p PR, 1 N, 3 p R, 1 N, 12 p C, 1 N. Knitting unfold.

2nd row: 14 sts C, 3 sts R.

3 row: 3 p R, 1 N, 14 p C, 1 N, 3 p R.
4th row: 3 sts R, 16 sts S, 3 sts R, 3 sts PR.
5th row: 3 sts R, 1 N, 3 sts R, 1 N, 16 sts C, 1 N, 3 sts R, 1 N, 3 sts LR.

7th row: 4 sts R, 1 N, 3 sts R, 1 N, 18 sts C, 1 N, 3 sts R, 1 N, 4 sts LR, 3 sts R.
8th row: 3 sts R, 5 sts LR, 3 sts R, 20 sts S, 3 sts R, 5 sts R, 3 sts R.
9 row: 3 p R, 1 N, 5 p R, 1 N, 3 p R, 1 N, 20 p C, 1 N, 3 p R, 1 N, 5 p LR, 1 N, 3 p R, 3 p LP.
10th row: 3 sts LP, 3 sts R, 7 sts LR, 3 sts R, 22 sts S, 3 sts R, 7 sts PR, 3 sts R, 3 sts PP.
11 row: 3 p R, 1 N, 3 p R, 1 N, 7 p R, 1 N, 3 p R, 1 N, 22 p C, 1 N, 3 p R, 1 N, 7 p R, 1 N, 3 p R, 1 N, 3 p LP.
12 row: 4 sts LP, 3 sts R, 9 sts LR, 3 sts R, 24 sts S, 3 sts R, 9 sts PR, 3 sts R, 7 sts PP.
13 row: 7 sts of PP, 1 N, 3 sts of R, 1 N, 9 sts of R, 1 N, 3 sts of R, 1 N, 24 sts of S, 1 N, 3 sts of R, 1 N, 9 sts of LR, 1 N, 3 p R, 1 N, 7 p LP.
14th row: 8 sts LP, 3 sts R, 11 sts LR, 3 sts R, 26 sts S, 3 sts R, 11 sts R, 3 sts R, 12 sts PP.
15 row: 12 sts in PP, 1 N, 3 sts R, 1 N, 11 sts PR, 1 N, 3 sts R, 1 N, 26 sts S, 1 N, 3 sts R, 1 N, 11 sts LR, 1 N, 3 p R, 1 N, 12 p LP.
16th row: 13 sts LP, 3 sts R, 13 sts LR, 3 sts R, 28 sts S, 3 sts R, 13 sts R, 3 sts R, 13 sts PP.

Now all the loops on the needles are included in the work. Further, knitting continues with increases along the raglan line until its length along the shelves reaches 12 cm. At this time, 194 p should already be in work (27 p PP, 3 p R, 40 p PR, 3 p R, 48 p C, 3 sts R, 40 sts LR, 3 sts R, 27 sts LP).

With the help of an auxiliary thread, temporarily close the loops of the shelves and back and start knitting the sleeves in separate parts. 2 loops of each raglan line should be attached to the loops of the sleeve, the rest to the loops of the shelves and back, respectively.

Sleeves. At this point, the width of each sleeve should be equal to 19 cm (44 p).

Knit 8 rows evenly, and then do in every 4th row 1 decrease along the edges of the sleeves. After 17 cm, after separating the front and back loops, 42 sts should remain from each sleeve.
Change to needles number 3 and work with white yarn. Work cuff in rib 1×1 as follows: 6 rows of white yarn, 2 rows of green yarn, 4 rows of white yarn. Close all loops.

The total length of the sleeve from the neck should be 33 cm.

Shelves and back. Tear off the auxiliary thread from the loops of the shelves and back, transfer them to one knitting needle and combine them into one canvas. To do this, at the junction, knit the edge loops together (102 p).

Continue knitting faces. satin stitch with knitting needles No. 4. After 19 cm, you need to evenly add 11 sts, making yarn over every 9 sts.

Then change to needle size 3 and rib with white and green yarn, as on the sleeves. Close all loops. The length of the piece from the armhole should be 22 cm.

Planks and neck. Pick up 100 sts along the edges of the shelves and work the strips with an elastic band from white and green yarn with knitting needles No. 3. On the right strip, make 3 holes for buttons.

Untie the auxiliary thread from the neck.

Run an elastic band with white and green yarn on knitting needles No. 3 on the opened loops. After 5 rows above the right bar, make 1 hole for the button.

Assembly. Sew the sleeves with a vertical knitted seam, sew buttons on the blouse, remove the ends of the cut threads.

Knitted baby blouse is ready. Thanks to the step-by-step master class, designed for beginner needlewomen, you can easily repeat the knitting of this product.
