From the age of five I was engaged in artistic gymnastics, reached the first youth category, but by the age of eight I had to leave classes. The loads were very high, the competitions were frequent, and there were so many experiences that I started to have insomnia. But even in this short period of time, my character was tempered. In general, I could no longer live without sports, and from the age of 15 I began to go to the gym. How else? I was a thin boy at school, and besides, I was the youngest in the class. So I had to prove that I can stand up for myself. Since then, I have been constantly in shape, sometimes I achieve a noticeable relief, and when the tour begins, I lose weight a little.

Don't go to group training or boxing?

Boxing never got around to it. (Smiling.) But it makes no sense for me to go to group concerts: at concerts I already move and dance a lot. We can say that I work out cardio on stage.

Probably, favorite exercises have appeared over the years?

I love working my chest and triceps, but I hate working on my abs and legs. My leg muscles are quite well developed after gymnastics and choreography, which I did as a child, but I still bypass the treadmill. Cubes on the press so far only my dream. But in fact, I never set myself the task of becoming a jock. On the contrary, when the muscles grow too much, it becomes difficult to move around the stage, and it is more difficult to sing, because the muscles in the neck also tense up. At the same time, if I start to lose muscle mass, then I immediately gain weight. To keep the golden mean, I balance on the edge: either I train hard, or I take a break.

How about baked pancakes? Are sports and delicious food generally compatible?

Unfortunately no. I love sweets, pasta, buns, bread. I am a "carbohydrate soul", suffering from a sports diet based on proteins and fiber. I eat boiled chicken breasts and vegetable salads. On tour, of course, it’s hard, we can’t find the right food without fat and mayonnaise in all cities and villages. Now I try to limit myself: they bring me ready-made meals, designed for only 2000 calories a day. For my height of 179 cm and weight of 81 kg, this is not much.

I'm already waiting for me to turn 70 and not have to perform on stage and think about how I look. Then, finally, I will give myself free rein and begin to overeat with chocolate, rolls, donuts, cheesecakes! (Laughs.) It was ten years ago that I ate everything, but recently I turned 34, and it’s impossible not to think about the diet anymore. But still, we try to meet in the gym three times a week to work out all the major muscle groups. I have changed a lot in recent years - it affected my lyrics, interviews and, of course, music. For Nikita, I am a role model, and he should not be ashamed of my words and deeds. Everything has made sense, and I understand why and for whom I live!

- As soon as the child begins to speak, parents immediately run to give him to various circles and sections, forgetting that the baby should also have a childhood. How do you feel about such an early development?

The main thing is that parents do not try to realize their ambitions, but first of all look at what the child has an inclination for, how assiduous and active he is, and start from this. Since Nikita was the spitting image of me in childhood in character - a restless and artistic boy, from whom energy is constantly splashing, I gave him to football. Now swimming has been added to this. But still I'm still trying to find what he really needs.

Nikita grows up in a big family, so he is surrounded by so much love, so much care, so many people that he is an absolute favorite of the whole family. But at the same time, I try to make him an unspoiled child, to know the value of everything that he has. That is, if he has toys, it means that he earned them by good behavior.

I had different periods in my life when I ate a lot and did little or, on the contrary, lost weight and did a lot, swayed. But still, before shooting in the videos, where I will be, for example, topless, I have to sit on a protein and carbohydrate-free diet for a week. But I can’t say that the press is easy for me, it’s a constant work on myself. I, like everyone else, sometimes want to be lazy, relax, but I have to go to the gym.

For example, today at 9 am I was already in the hall, despite the fact that there is a performance ahead, where I will also be actively moving - a full-fledged fitness. I often hear from people: “Yes, we have no time to study!” This is all untrue. Get up an hour earlier and do exercises even at home if you can’t go to the gym. I do this from time to time both at home and on tour. Quietly in 40 minutes in my room I can strain all muscle groups. It's just a matter of desire. Why do I need it? I want to be in good shape, motivate other people, look young and healthy at 35.

- Sergey, your colleagues have repeatedly spoken negatively about obese people. Do you also think that in the 21st century it is impermissible to launch oneself?

As the saying goes, don't judge, lest you be judged. I think that everyone has their own characteristics of the body. We don't know why he looks this way or that way - suddenly metabolic problems, stress, illness. It happens when people eat right and exercise, but still swell due to health problems. Therefore, one size fits all can not be combed.

But, on the other hand, if a person is healthy and simply cannot control himself, cannot find time, and always comes up with excuses, then I have a bad attitude towards this - this is a manifestation of weakness. If you have the strength, if you understand that your excess weight is, first of all, yourself, then you need to fight it even for your health and longevity.

- Many people try to lose weight in quick ways, they torture themselves with starvation ...

I am categorically against urgent weight loss, pills that will remove all the water and a lot of useful substances from the body. It is unlikely that powders, which are also offered for weight loss today, will lead to a positive result. Yes, they will temporarily give something, but they can undermine health.

“There is no place for sweets in my family!”

- Nikita is also not allowed to eat sugar and bakery products?

Yes, he has about the same diet as me. Now, of course, his favorite dish is pasta, but for the time being, you can eat them at his age without any problems. In general, I try to limit all the same in bakery products. Grandmother, of course, likes to give him both rolls and bread, but I immediately stop these attempts. I am struggling with the Soviet hardening of my mother - to feed harder. Still, health and metabolism are laid down in childhood, and it is very important not to let it take its course.
Naturally, Nikita does not know about any sausages and sausages. Moreover, my child has not yet tried a single candy and chocolate. He does not drink any juices, sodas - only ordinary water or tea. I want him to learn about harmful foods as late as possible. And perhaps in the future he would thank me for it!
