Sample family tree filling. How to make a family tree

Bibliographic description: Derkacheva S. N., Metlitskaya A. A. Pedigree of my family // Young scientist. - 2017. - No. 5. - S. 20-29..06.2019).

Once, on Family Day, my grandmother gave me a small tree with photographs. Mom explained that this is how the pedigree begins. Homeland, family, parents... These are close, native words. I decided to collect more complete information about my family, to build a model of the genealogical tree of the family. I was helped to recreate the past of my family by my parents, grandmothers, family photographs, relics, stories, documents from the family archive, memories of my relatives. The history of the family is a chronicle of the history of our country, it is necessary to know it, because without the past there is no future.

Relevance research work lies in the fact that in my family there are worthy, respected people with interesting biographies. It is important to preserve the memory of them for future generations, to betray this information to others.

Target my job: to investigate the ancestral relations of my family.

Fundamental question: Do you need to know your pedigree?

Problem question: What is a pedigree?

Has been put forward hypothesis that, if desired, each person can find out his pedigree.

To achieve my goal, I need to solve the following tasks:

- to study the necessary literature and Internet sources;

– explore the history of family ties of the Derkachev family;

- to study the family archive, photo albums and collect the necessary material;

- conduct a survey in the family about relatives whose names are remembered by parents, grandparents;

- conduct a survey of classmates;

- summarize the data;

- Create a family tree.

Methods Used research: reading literary sources; questioning and survey; analysis of the obtained results; photographing.

Object of study: family, family relationships.

Theoretical significance my research work is that it directly proves that the study of the pedigree is an important thing for life.

Practical significance research work lies in the fact that the prepared material can be used in the lessons of Kuban studies, literary reading, the world around, in class hours, transferred to the school museum.

Theoretical part

1.1. What is a pedigree?

From the explanatory dictionary of S.I. Ozhegov, I learned the meaning of the word "pedigree": "A list of generations of the same kind, establishing the origin and degree of kinship." . Having studied Internet sources, we found out the following. Pedigree - a set of data describing the origin of families. . Pedigree is a word about a family. Genus - all relatives that have a common ancestor. Great-grandmothers, great-great-grandparents and great-great-grandfathers are our ancestors who lived long before us and our parents. For a hundred years, three generations live simultaneously: at the beginning of the century, the life of the grandfather begins, and at the end of the century, the grandson lives. Knowledge of the genealogy connects generations and centuries with each other, gives a person hope for a new future.

1.2. Definition of the concept of genealogy

The science genealogy originated in ancient Greece and translated from Latin means "genealogy of the family." Genealogy is the science of human genealogy. It studies the family relationships of people and entire generations, the history of childbirth, the origin of individuals, the establishment of family ties, and the compilation of family trees. The main object of genealogy research is the family, small or large. In our country, the first appearance of genealogy occurred during the time of Tsarist Russia. .

1.3. Genealogical tree.

The surname and names of all relatives can be entered in a special table, which is called the "genealogical table" or "family tree". It is also called family,pedigreewood, familytree. In the old days, in the homes of noble people, the family tree always hung in the most prominent place and was a source of special pride for one's family.

In a family tree, the roots are the ancestors, the branches are the parents, and the leaves are the children. The pedigree is built on the principle of an inverted tree with branches. The name “tree” or “tree” was given to this scheme because in the old days family ties were originally depicted as a sprawling tree with “descendant leaves”. All relatives - men are depicted in rectangles, women in ovals, each generation is located strictly along one line.

1.4. The results of the survey in classroom

The survey involved 24 classmates. The results are presented in table 1.

Table 1

Questions for the survey

What is a pedigree?

Does your family have a family tree?

Do you know the date of birth of mom and dad?

What is the name of the grandmother (grandfather)?

Do you keep a family album?

Do you have family heirlooms?

Output. A fairly large number of my classmates do not know what a pedigree is (14 people), they are not interested in questions of their pedigree, there is no genealogical tree in the family (18 people), family relics (17 people) and albums (4 people) are not kept. . And this means that they do not know their roots, the traditions of their family well and will not be able to build a kinship between generations. I believe that without the past there is no future.

Practical part

2.1. Pedigree of my family.

The basis of a person's life is his family. Relatives will always support in difficult times. Our ancestors thought so and treated their family tree with great respect. I started my work by asking my grandmother and mother about the family tree, about relatives along the lines of father and mother, collecting information, sketches and drafts (Fig. 1,2,3). I was attracted by family photos, and from that I asked my mother, father, grandmothers more and more. So I learned more and more about my native roots.

Rice. 6. Grandmother Nina

Grandmother(Fig. 6) Kalinovskaya Nina Aleksandrovna was born on March 3, 1942, in the village of Kesma, Kalinin Region, Vesyegonsky District. She had a very difficult fate, a strict stepfather. There was a war. The stepfather loved his own daughters more, and he did not like little Nina (Fig. 7), he brought up strictly, often punished, and locked him in the basement. Nina left home very early. My grandmother is a swimming champion, she still loves to swim across the canal, go to the Sea of Azov, swim

Her difficult fate did not prevent her from creating her own family and giving birth to two beautiful children. She fought for her family to the last, so that her children would never know what a stepfather is. Grandmother Nina is a labor veteran. She worked at various enterprises, but found time to pay attention to her grandchildren. I often play ball with her.

Rice. 6. Nina as a child

Granddad. Kalinovsky Stanislav Olegovich, was born on May 27, 1944, in the Akhtarsky farm. All his life he worked at the fish factory in Primorsko-Akhtarsk. He had a simple profession, a stoker. At the same time, my grandfather had different skills, he was a jack of all trades, any work was successful. He knew a lot: to make heating, connect water, engage in construction. Mom says that he even knew how to repair sewing machines. Even in his youth, he sewed his own trousers. Grandpa died early. My sister Arina and I did not know him, but my grandmother and mother tell a lot of good things about him. He did not like to be photographed, so his photographs have not been preserved.

Rice. 8. Grandmother Lina

great-grandmother. (Fig. 8) Yazlovetskaya Akilina Pavlovna is the mother of my grandfather. She was born in the village of Olginskaya on April 9, 1916. Akilina lived in a poor family with two sisters and was the eldest. Parents from childhood taught them to work and rigor. In 1933, my great-grandmother went to work at a fish factory and worked there all her life. The work was very hard, she, along with other women, washed and plastified the fish that came to the fish factory in tons, loaded ice, since there were no refrigerators in those days. The working day began with putting on rubber boots, there was no time to be fashionable. At the fish factory, she met her fate, her husband Leonid. When the Great Patriotic War began, my grandmother continued to work. The town was captured by the Nazis, the invaders did not stand on ceremony. If Akilina had not vacated the room that the Germans liked, they would have shot her without hesitation. During the bombing on April 25, 1943. her mother died. Grandma said that in wartime there were a lot of vile people in the city who curried favor with the Germans, and after the war they went to beg. The bombings left their imprint so that the great-grandmother forever became afraid of the fireworks, it was the fear that the war would not come. When my grandmother retired, she was engaged in raising her grandchildren - Eli and Oleg, the grandchildren did not know what a kindergarten was. Mom always told how much love and attention she gave them. When the great-grandchildren were born, the great-grandmother was already over 80 years old (Fig. 9)

Rice. 9. Great-grandmother and my sister

There are many photos with great-grandmother Lina in our family album. At 80, she played with Arina on the rug, voicing toys, crawled with her in a race. Always cheerful, full of energy. When I was born, my great-grandmother was 92 years old! Her house was next door to ours. My mother told me that she came to play with me every day. Mom said that great-grandmother did not know the word doctor. She did not take pills, her medicine is an eternal positive. My great-grandmother died at 94. Mom says that great-grandmother Lina did not have gold rings or earrings, but there was a lot of love and an ordinary thirst for every new day lived. She is alive in our hearts!

Rice. 10. Leonid (left)

My great-grandmother's husband- Leonid, (1913) was a creative person, a musician from a brass band. They had twins, but the babies died in infancy from illness. Leonid returned from the war sick, and soon died. Grandma remarried. In the photo, my great-grandmother with Validsky Petr Prokhorovich (Fig. 10). This is my great-grandfather. According to his mother, he was a kind person, he adopted the son of Lina Pavlovna. They lived together with their great-grandmother for more than 40 years. Mom says he was like a father to her. He was a wonderful family man. He knew how to sew and taught his mother how to sew. Our family has an old hand machine, on which my grandfather taught my mother to sew at the age of 10. Mom let me sew on it too. This is our family heirloom.

Great-great-grandmother. Petukhova Claudia Petrovna, mother of my grandmother Nina, was born on March 26, 1919. in the village of Kesma. She worked all her years as a caretaker in a kindergarten. During the war, my great-grandmother Klava worked as a groom, following in her father's footsteps. The family has fallen on hard times. Bombings thundered one after another, but the house miraculously survived. There were also times of famine, when a piece of bread was shared by the whole family. My mother told me how she visited her grandmother in the village, an ordinary wooden house made of logs, a real Russian stove, they went to the well for water. Grandmother took me to the forest for mushrooms. Children swam in an icy river, among beautiful water lilies. We went to wash in a real Russian bath. Grandmother was attentive and caring.

My great grandmother's father- great-great-grandfather Petukhov Petr Spiridonovich, born in August 1887. He worked as a groom on a collective farm. He had three daughters - Evdokia, Claudia, Catherine and two sons - Mikhail and Alexei. Alexei was the eldest son, died in the war. Peter Spiridonovich raised the children himself, his wife died in childbirth with her youngest daughter, Catherine. Then my great-great-grandfather remarried a woman with three children. My great-great-grandfather left many memories in the life of my grandmother Nina.

Conclusion

Now I know that our ancestors treated their lineage with great reverence. With deep respect for my ancestors, I also carried out my first research work. In the course of the research, I managed to collect family documents and photographs of ancestors, I found affirmative answers to the questions of what a pedigree is and why a person needs a pedigree. I have learned to work with various sources of information. Managed to systematize data on relatives up to h fourth tribe and make a genealogical tree of my family. I came to conclusion that their lives and destinies had much in common. All of them were close to the ground, they knew the need of the war time, some fought at the front, worked tirelessly all their lives. Collected material about my great-grandfather KhramtsovoN.P., a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, was published in the collection of stories "The Book of Memory"

Thus my hypothesis the fact that each person can find out his ancestry was confirmed. Delivered purpose andtasks completed.

Do you need a pedigree - everyone decides for himself. But a cultured person must know his roots and ancestors. "The study of the history of one's ancestors is the most entertaining science." (A. S. Pushkin)

Often schoolchildren are given creative homework - to draw their family tree. Of course, without the help of adults, this is not enough. Often, all the closest relatives are involved in the process, remembering their ancestors by common efforts. Before drawing a family tree to a child in school, adults should understand in detail the links between generations.

The task of a child to draw a family tree with his own hands, as well as possible, allows you to find out the roots of your kind. The current generation is not particularly interested in their ancestors, who, passing away, forever take with them valuable information for the whole family.

In order to complete the work, you will need a minimum of materials - felt-tip pens or pencils and, if possible, a photo. Most often, a family tree, supplemented with photographs, is made for children in elementary grades or in kindergarten - the requirements are minimal, it is enough to recall the next of kin, whose images are likely to be found in albums or on digital media.

High school students are offered to dig deeper and display information as reliably as possible, with dates of birth, death and a brief description of the life path of their ancestors. It is very rare for anyone to have old photographs, and therefore, it is better to display all the information in a free-form frame.

Master class: how to draw a family tree

Of course, the main task in creating a family tree falls on the shoulders of the parents, but the child must necessarily participate in the creative process. Thus, he will not only help to color the drawing, but will also be more imbued with blood ties:

  1. Most often, a standard A4 white sheet is chosen for such work, which can be painted or left the same. Most often, a family tree is depicted in the form of a mighty oak, we will follow this path and depict a large tree.

  2. If you plan to mention more than five generations, then it is better to draw the most magnificent crown. The same advice will work for those who will use large font for writing names.

  3. The name of the child can be located both at the top of the tree and at the bottom. In addition to it, some use the pronoun "I", which speaks on behalf of the child. As a frame, we use a simple oval, although if you wish, you can arrange the names in an openwork frame.

  4. After the baby comes mom and dad. It is better if you place them on both sides of the trunk. Then dad's relatives will be on one side, and moms on the other.

  5. Next, mothers go, of course, beloved grandparents along her line. You can add their names.

  6. Then comes the turn of the closest relatives of the pope. If the child has aunts and uncles, and those, in turn, have their own children, that is, the child's cousins and brothers, then place them next to the common grandparents.

  7. Basically, parents remember their grandparents, who are the great-grandmother and great-grandfather of the child - do not forget about them.

  8. For clarity, large arrows mark who descended from whom.

  9. We paint the crown of the tree in the traditional green color.

  10. If you use a finely grated pencil lead, you can rub it with your finger or a cotton swab, you can get an unusual effect. Let's use it to color the trunk and roots of a tree.

This is how a family tree can be depicted in a simplified form. Often schools organize exhibitions of such joint works of parents and children. If mom or dad doesn’t know how to draw a family tree at all, they can download a standard diagram from the Internet, color it in and fill it in with their data.

According to the popular scientific definition, a pedigree is a list of generations of the same genus, establishing the origin and degree of kinship. But in a person's life, the meaning of genealogy is much wider, because the family tree connects us with the historical process, allowing us to feel like an integral part of a single stream of successive generations.

Therefore, speaking of a genealogy, we often mean the whole complex of knowledge, united by the concept of "family memory", which includes both the biography of the family and fragments of the history of the ethnos and the country as a whole.

Why make up a family tree?

Today, the study of the history of the family, the compilation of a genealogy has gained extraordinary popularity - we seem to want to fill the gap of previous decades, when knowledge about ancestors was not encouraged, and sometimes fraught with danger. Today, there are all opportunities for studying the history of the family, however, it is important to define the goal more precisely.

Family pedigree is studied in order to:

  • find out the history of your family, the origin of the surname;
  • find out the characteristic features of a kind, its geography, main occupations and interests, how the ancestors lived and what they owned;
  • find distant relatives with whom communication has long been lost;
  • learn everything about your ancestors and pass this information on to your descendants;
  • learn about hereditary predisposition to diseases and the possibility of their prevention;
  • restore family traditions and traditions;
  • confirm the facts of kinship;
  • and other purposes.

Stages of compiling a family tree

1. Genealogical expertise

Before starting searches in the archives, it is necessary to clarify the data and determine the prospects for research. Therefore, we propose to begin the study of the pedigree with genealogical expertise.

Genealogical examination is carried out in order to:

  • collect and systematize the information that all relatives have about their ancestors;
  • restore, as far as possible, missing data from open sources;
  • draw up a sketch of a family tree;
  • determine prospects and search algorithm.

Genealogical examination is usually carried out on the family branches of one of the parents, on the branches of both parents, as well as on the family branches of the spouse's parents.

  • data collection, interview of all relatives, verification and completion of information (on average takes 4-8 weeks);
  • entering data into a specialized program for the purpose of systematization, building a family tree - occurs simultaneously with the first stage;
  • data examination - the sufficiency of information for in-depth research is determined, archival institutions for work, primary clarification of the safety of information; takes 4-8 weeks on average and takes place after receiving all the necessary data;
  • in parallel with the examination, requests are sent to the archives in all family areas (kinds);
  • an algorithm and estimate of in-depth research is compiled - analysis of the information received, clarification of the cost, timing and prospects for further archival research for each genus;
  • registration of the results of the work, drawing up a family tree, providing a report.

Average time for this stage- 3 - 6 months.

As a result of genealogical expertise, you get:

  • a family genealogical tree printed on photographic paper in the form of a diagram, complete with a storage tube;
  • a brochure printed on designer paper with generational painting - it contains all the information about ancestors and descendants, including photographs, copies of documents and local history information;
  • algorithm and plan of deep research;
  • estimate of subsequent studies;
  • a flash card with copies of all documents, a database in GEDCOM format and a tree in the special Tree of Life program.

Only in our country, genealogical expertise is allocated as a separate stage in the general budget in order to optimize costs.

2. Genealogical research, searches in archives

Often we do not even suspect how much interesting information about our ancestors, regardless of their class affiliation, is stored in modern archives. In pre-revolutionary Russia, the preservation of genealogical knowledge and its systematization were of great importance - all information stood guard over property and class rights.

The House of Family Traditions "Christian" carries out a professional search in federal, regional, departmental archives, as well as in the territorial archives of pre-revolutionary Russia. An accurate "route map" of research is compiled at the previous stage genealogical expertise.

Archival search is carried out in order to:

identify the most ancient ancestor according to the documents preserved in the archives (the so-called "documentary bottom" - it will be different for each clan);

  • restore information about the years and places of birth of blood ancestors, find out their estate and
  • religion, dates of baptism, names of godparents, dates of marriages, etc.;
  • restore biographical information, information about the service, labor activity, etc.;
  • using a number of documents to restore the cultural and historical context of their lives;
  • get copies of real documents on your ancestors (registers of birth, marriage, death; revision tales, marriage searches, family lists, service records, etc.)

The process consists of several stages:

  • the work of a specialist in the archive with primary sources (metrics, revisions, confession lists, settled lists, etc.);
  • work in the archive with other documentary sources (for additional historical, local history information, immersion in the historical context);
  • ordering photocopies of found documents;
  • analysis of the information received, the formation of a report on the study.

As a result of an archive search, you get:

  • a report on the study in printed and bound form, which contains a description of the search, copies of the documents found, a full generational description of the study, the conclusions of historians about significant facts of family life (birth, baptism, education, marriage, property ownership, etc.), local lore essays about the localities where this or that clan comes from, hypotheses about individual facts, built on the analysis of documents;
  • complete genealogical tree of the family in the form of a diagram;
  • flash card with records of all the above mentioned materials.

In past centuries, the study of family genealogy was not done out of idle curiosity - it was dictated by necessity, most often as evidence of belonging to an ancient and noble family.

Genealogy, being an applied historical discipline, originates in antiquity, when a person needed to verify his origin and social status.L. M. Savelov - A Russian genealogist of the early twentieth century defined genealogy as “a proof of kinship that exists between persons who have a common ancestor or descendant, built on reliable documents and other sources”, and also as “the history of a particular family in all manifestations of the life of its representatives, as public and family.

In ancient Rome, the patricians in rich houses had portrait galleries of sculptural images of all ancestors in the male line. In the feudal era, confirmation was required not only of the origin and antiquity of the clan, but also of its purebredness.

During the Renaissance, pedigrees are officially documented, and the first genealogical collections are formed. Later, genealogy becomes a full-fledged scientific discipline, closely related to heraldry and diplomacy.

In pre-revolutionary Russia, estate and property law in many applied cases involved proof of origin and kinship. And the traditions of education in noble and merchant families required knowledge of their ancestors, their deeds and services to the family and the Fatherland.

Today, more than 95% of the population of Russia are descendants of peasant families, but this does not mean at all that there were no outstanding representatives and interesting events in the family. In almost every family there are participants in the Great Patriotic War, in many - participants in the 1st World War and the Civil War. Many descendants of glorious Cossack families live in the Kuban, the North Caucasus, the Urals and Siberia.

If you have a strong desire to know your history, but not enough time or experience, you can order a family pedigree from a specialized company where professional genealogists, local historians and anthropologists will help you restore your roots.

3. Recording memories of relatives

Time is inexorable - data is lost in archives, older generations leave, documents deteriorate, old photographs fade.

Recording the memories of relatives, stories of older generations about traditions and significant events in family history helps to preserve the memory of the family for posterity.

The interview is conducted by an experienced journalist, and the recorded texts undergo literary processing and systematization. Memories can be issued in the form of a separate brochure, or they can be included in a large book about family history.

4. Drawing up a family tree and its design

A family genealogical tree can be arranged in the form of: panels, paintings, diagrams, shezhere.

After receiving all the completeness of the data, you can think about the design of the family tree. It can be the most democratic scheme on paper, a painting on canvas, or a carved panel - it all depends on your wishes. Additionally, coats of arms, images of sights of those areas where family clans come from, fragments of maps, photographs, decorations, etc. can be used.

Design tree diagram

The basic version includes:

  • systematization of all information by a specialist historian;
  • development of an individual tree layout;
  • design and printing on photo paper (dimensions 61 x 300 cm);

In pre-revolutionary Russia, noble people paid great attention to their genealogy: the older the family was and the more tribes the nobles knew, the more weight and power they had. After the revolution, the situation changed radically: many had to "forget" who their ancestors were in order to survive under the new government. And the peasants and workers were not so reverent about the knowledge of their ancestors.

A new round of interest in the history of the family arose in the early 90s after the fall of the Union. Today, schoolchildren and even kindergarteners are often asked draw a family tree as homework. Below you will find 5 ways to draw a family tree, the choice largely depends on the purpose for which you are going to draw up your family tree.

Training

Before proceed directly to the compilation family tree, you should decide what you are drawing it for and how deep you are going to study into your family tree.

For kids in kindergarten and younger students, it will be enough provide information about the nearest relatives - parents, siblings (if any) and grandparents on both sides. If the child knows his aunt and/or uncle well, as well as his cousins, then you can add them. But usually you can stop at grandparents, more distant relatives connections may not be clear to the child, especially if he rarely communicates with aunts / uncles and cousins.

If the desire to draw a family tree with your own hands is caused not only by the child's homework, then you need to conduct a survey of relatives, who remembers and knows what. If grandparents are alive, they tell at least about their parents. It is good to know F.I.O, dates of birth, years of life, place of birth, profession. Now there are special projects and just city archives that you can contact. The appeal will be more successful if you have at least some information - the grandmother's maiden name or, for example, the date of registration of marriage.

After carrying out the preparatory work, you can choose the form of the family tree and the method of compilation.

Genealogical tree form

Genealogical tree of the family can be visually depicted in two ways - we will conditionally call them graphic and artistic. The graphical method involves depicting the history of your family in the form of a table, which reflects the generations and the degree of relationship. Artistic option means that you, with your own hands or with the help of a computer program, depicted a family tree in the form of a tree with roots and branches.

There are also two options for where to start the tree. If a family tree is needed primarily for homework, then the easiest way to start is with a child, the second level will be parents and the third - grandparents. Then the name and / or photo of the child will be located below, on the trunk.

If you are going study family history in depth, then it is better to place yourself / the child on the crown or top of the scheme, and leave the lower branches and roots to close and distant relatives.

Consider how to draw a family tree.

Method 1: Template

The simplest and visually beautiful way, especially if you do not feel confident in your ability to draw - take a ready-made family tree template or diagram from the Internet. You can take a black and white template, print it out, write in names, paste photos and color it with pencils or paints.

This option is especially good for very young children who go to kindergarten and do not draw very well, but they paint well and know how to use glue.

Method 2: drawing

This tree is universal.. It can be drawn both for homework and if your family is large and the story goes far. You can draw as big a crown as you need. To do this, before proceeding to the tree itself, be sure to draw up a diagram of all family ties.

Operating procedure:

1. Take whatman paper or A3 size paper, a simple pencil. Draw the roots of the tree and the trunk.

2. Draw as many levels of branches for how many generations you are going to make a tree.

For example, if there is a child, parents and grandparents on the tree, then you will get a trunk and two levels of branches. At the first level there will be one branch for mom and dad, and at the second level there will be two branches for each pair of grandparents.

3. Draw vignette frames under the photo. A sample of such frames can be found on the Internet and copied through tracing paper or simply repeated by hand. Then your tree will look solid and beautiful. If the tree is small, choose one type of frame for all. If the tree is branched and there are many relatives on it, you can choose two types of frames - separately for women and separately for men.

For children's homework, you can choose as apple frames, leaves or something else, depending on which tree you want to depict.

4. Paste the photo and write the names and surnames of relatives.

Method 3: collage

Beautiful and effective look like a family tree made from different materials as a collage.

On such a tree, several generations of your family will definitely fit, but this option is not the most convenient for a serious study of your pedigree.

You will definitely need cardboard, leftover wallpaper, felt or wrapping paper of a suitable color, double-sided tape and imagination.

Operating procedure:

  1. Decide on finished work size, cut out the appropriate size cardboard.
  2. Wallpaper acts as a background. If there is no wallpaper, use suitable wrapping paper. Prepare a sheet that matches the size of the cardboard sheet. Stick the wallpaper with double-sided tape on the cardboard.
  3. Next, you need to cut out a tree from felt (or any other material - wrapping paper, etc.).

If you draw well, you can apply the design with the power of soap or chalk directly onto the fabric. If in doubt, make a paper stencil first.

Once the tree is ready, use glue or tape to secure it to the cardboard with wallpaper.

  1. Can use ready-made photo frames, you can buy ready-made ones, and then paint them with a spray can in the desired color, you can make frames from felt of a different color or from paper.

We fix the photo and frames on our tree with glue.

It is better to place a photo of the child on the trunk, then a photo of the parents and even higher than the grandparents.

You can additionally highlight the photo of the child, making it color, and the rest of the photos in black and white.

  1. Then, in advance covering the photo frames with something so as not to stain them, we attach foliage from yarn (or felt, or paper) to the branches of a tree.
  2. If there is a frame of the appropriate size, then paste the finished collage into it. If not, you can trim the edges of the collage with twine or eyelets.

Method 4: electronic version - template

A slightly more complicated option is to find a template for one of the graphic editors, such as Photoshop, and insert a photo with captions. The tree will turn out to be more original, but minimal knowledge of how to work in such programs will be required.
