For fun and for fun, we cheer up: we sew a Petrushka costume! Parsley costume for a boy - do it yourself How to sew a parsley costume at home.

Shoes for Petrushka or a gnome, which are easy to sew and complement the image of a fairy-tale hero.

Next, a step-by-step master class with photos on how to sew shoes for Petrushka or a gnome.

We will need: - Atlas - glue - fabric for the sole (preferably leather) - Velcro tape for fastening - cotton wool or synthetic winterizer for stuffing - rhinestones and sequins for decorations It is better to wear carnival shoes over other shoes, so the child will be more comfortable and will not have to worry that the floors in the room are cold. For the base, choose shoes that fit well on the child's foot and do not have extra protruding parts. Sneakers or sandals are the best.

To build a pattern for Petrushka's shoes, you need to make three measurements.

  1. Ankle circumference
  2. Foot girth
  3. Foot length (measurement around the sole / 2)
All measurements should be taken from the shoes worn on the child's foot.
On a piece of paper, draw a horizontal line equal to the length of the foot. Set aside a distance from it upwards equal to the height of the future Parsley shoe. This distance is determined arbitrarily depending on your preferences, as long as the main shoes are completely covered. The top line is equal to half the circumference of the ankle. Also draw the line of the bent toe arbitrarily, the main thing is that it does not fall below half the circumference of the foot.

Add 2 cm to the back of the pattern for sewing on the Velcro fastener.

The process of sewing shoes for Petrushka

The finished pattern of Petrushka's shoes needs to be cut out and transferred to the fabric. Don't forget to add seam allowances. At this stage, you can decorate parts of the future Petrushka shoe. I sewed a few sequins to match the decoration on Petrushka's costume.
Connect the two halves of the shoe and sew them along the bottom and front. Do not sew the back line! Bend the top and process on a typewriter. Get a sock with an open back. Stepping back 2 cm from the heel and the entire back side of Petrushka's shoes, we will sew Velcro tape.

Velcro overlaps, so we made an increase of 2 cm on the pattern.

We stuff a synthetic winterizer into the tip of the boot and put the sewn boot on the sandals. Let's see how he sits. If you don’t like something, then it’s better to fix it right away, for example, adjust the protruding nose in shape.
When the Velcro is sewn on and fastened, a protruding corner forms on the heel. In order to remove it, pin the excess fabric to the sole of the boot with pins. We do this without removing the sock from the sandals.
Sewing by hand with thread
We have the shoe for Petrushka ready. It remains to make the sole so that the child does not slip on the floor. For the sole, it is better to use a piece of leather or leatherette. Unfortunately, I didn’t have either one or the other at hand, so I just had to use a thick fabric. Place the sandals on the fabric and circle them. Cut out the sole without allowances.
The sole can be sewn by hand, but it will be enough to glue it with rubber glue. We distribute the glue evenly over the sole and press it to Petrushka's shoes. We leave to dry overnight.
By morning, shoes for Petrushka or a gnome will be completely ready and you can put them on a matinee.
I put bells in the socks of my shoes so that the costume would ring during the dance. This caused great delight among the children.

To visit the New Year's carnival, you will definitely need a New Year's costume. Everyone chooses an image for himself. Someone on New Year's Eve wants to be a fairy, someone - a snowman or a snowflake, someone - a pirate or a robber, and someone - a buffoon. This cheerful image is familiar to us from childhood. Skomorokh is the host of games and fun at the holiday. This is a very difficult and responsible role, so it is usually performed by one of the adults or the most lively and cheerful boy.

How to make a buffoon costume with your own hands:

Skomorokh has a bright and spacious costume in the folk style: a spacious, long shirt, pants, "bast shoes", leggings, a cap.

1. How to make a shirt for a Buffoon costume

A shirt can be made from an old colorful grandmother's dressing gown - cut off the length and roll up the sleeves. For a belt, take a piece of twisted rope or cord, and sew brushes on the ends. Pants or sweatpants of a suitable color will complement the suit - the brighter the better.

It is best, of course, if the clothes are specially sewn from bright patches of 2-4 contrasting colors, plain and with a pattern.

2. How to make jumpsuit for a buffoon costume

Sew overalls according to the pattern of sports, work or children's overalls with sleeves.

Gather the bottom of the sleeves and trousers with an elastic band. Instead of buttons, sew on large cardboard circles or ribbons. Ribbed bow ties are also elegant and functional.

3. How to make a collar for a buffoon costume

Another necessary detail of the costume is a puffy collar. To sew it, you need a strip of fabric equal to three neck circumferences long and about 20 cm wide. Lay folds evenly along the neck line or gather the fabric on a thread (first lay two basting seams). Sew on a long ribbon to make ties. Zigzag the edges, fold and hem the edge of the fabric or sew on the edge of the braid to hide the cut.

4. How to make bast shoes for a buffoon costume

Do-it-yourself buffoon costume. The buffoon will also need “bast shoes” - spacious large slippers or footprints crocheted from thick wool.

A buffoon can be dressed up in an ordinary cap made of bright, colorful material. But it is better to make a real buffoon headdress from two triangular pieces of fabric. The fabric for the cap must be starched.

Do-it-yourself buffoon costume. Before stitching the details, check if the headdress will not be small for the artist: it is better to make a pattern with a margin. Sew on the lapel so that the sharp corners of the cut are directly above the middle of the forehead. Push a synthetic winterizer or soft paper into the corners of the cap so that they keep their shape, and attach bells on top. Decorate the hat with colorful buttons.

Don't forget makeup. Draw Buffoon freckles, blush your cheeks and blacken your eyebrows.

New Year is a favorite holiday for all children and adults without exception. An elegant Christmas tree, the smell of tangerines, gifts and fun at the carnival party cannot leave you indifferent. But what is a carnival without a bright costume?

On the eve of New Year's matinees, all parents are wondering what outfit to choose for their child. In this article, we will talk about how to sew your own Petrushka costume for the holiday.

Who is Petrushka and what does he look like

Petrushka is a comic character who is the heir to the jester of the tsarist time. The invariable attributes of the image are a hat with two or four horns, at the ends of which hang buboes and perky bells. This is a bright outfit made of shiny fabric and slippers with raised socks and bells. Parsley's costume for a boy or girl must be colorful and cheerful. The image of Petrushka has no standard, the main thing is to stick to the main elements of his costume, otherwise you can dream up, combining different colors of fabric and decorations.

Suit Materials

In order for the Petrushka costume to look spectacular, you need to choose the right fabric. It should be a bright and shiny material, such as satin, velor or sequins. It is these materials that have the appropriate look and are ideal for this outfit.

You will also need additional items, such as bells, sequin ribbons, rubber bands, of course, sewing accessories and a machine.

Pants for Parsley

Sewing pants is not so difficult as it might seem at first, the main thing is to correctly re-shoot the pattern from the child's trousers. And even if there are small errors, they will hide in the width, because Petrushka's costume should be with harem pants.

So, you can make a pattern in two ways:

  • circle the details of the trousers by placing the thing on paper;
  • remove the seams by applying a transparent film to the pants.

In both cases, the main thing is to correctly copy the bends of the middle seams in front and behind the trousers so that the thing sits well and does not fold between the child's legs. So that the bloomers do not turn out to be too large, it is necessary to measure the circumference of the leg at the top and add about 15 cm to this figure. The trouser leg can be completely flat along the side and crotch seam, you just need to properly arrange the middle seams. You can also make a small flare from the knee, and tuck the edge inside out at the bottom and stitch it, making a drawstring, and insert an elastic band into it according to the size of the circumference of the leg above the ankle. It is not difficult to sew a Petrushka costume with your own hands, the patterns here do not require serious calculations and drawing abilities. A little diligence and everything will work out!

Blouse for Petrushka

It will perfectly complement Petrushka's costume. The blouse pattern is also not too difficult to perform. Even an inexperienced craftswoman will cope with it. Of course, you can limit yourself to only bloomers and a hat, and put a regular turtleneck on your child, but in this case, the outfit will no longer be as spectacular as we would like.

So, the pattern of the sweater can be taken from the child's T-shirt using one of the methods described above. For this purpose, it is best to take a thing a few sizes larger so that the future product is a little loose. If there is none, then you will have to add 3-4 cm along the contour of the re-shot lines. This is done so that Petrushka's costume fits freely on the child's figure.

The sleeve is removed only on one side, and when transferred to the fabric, the second part is simply duplicated. You can also make a small flare from the elbow on it, and assemble the wrist with an elastic band.

Parsley's costume for a boy can also be in the form of a jumpsuit. In this case, at the stage of copying the seams, you should combine the pants and T-shirt along the waistline and draw a solid pattern.

What kind of hat does Petrushka wear?

The costume is New Year's, and therefore the headdress should be decorated accordingly. Rain with stars here will be very handy. But what type of hat should you choose?

Indeed, no matter what version of the base is chosen (overalls or panties and a jacket), it is imperative to make a hat, without it it is simply impossible to make a Petrushka costume. The pattern of this accessory, although simple, will have to tinker with the product. First of all, you need to think about what kind of hat it will be, how many horns it will have and what shape is preferable.

You need to understand that a headdress that is too voluminous for a child will be uncomfortable, and therefore it is better to give preference to a hat with two horns, which will make the image recognizable and will not create any special difficulties in the production process.

First of all, it is necessary to measure the circumference of the head and the depth of the future cap (from the back of the head to the middle of the forehead through the top of the head). Next, on a piece of paper, draw a rectangle half the circumference long and half the height measure wide. The sides of the figure are overestimated by 20 cm. Further from the top of the lines, a triangle is drawn on both sides, the bases of which will divide the upper face of the rectangle in half.

To keep the horns on the hat well, they need to be duplicated with thin foam rubber or hard tulle in two or three layers. Two parts of the cap are sewn together and bells or bells are attached to the ends.

Petrushka's shoes

In order for Petrushka's costume to come out original and complete with your own hands, you need to sew slippers. Even if the child is wearing sneakers or shoes at the matinee, these slippers can be worn over shoes. So, first you need to circle the child's leg along the contour in profile. From the side of the sole, you will need to indent down by 4 cm, and in front of the foot, bring out the toe turned up. For slippers, you will need two parts made of fabric, which are sewn from the heel to the middle of the foot from above, along the contour of the hole for the leg, the fabric is folded inside out, stitched and put on the elastic. Here you will also need to seal the sock with foam rubber or hard tulle so that it keeps its shape well.

So, let's take a closer look at the process of making a children's buffoon costume.

How to sew a buffoon costume?

First, let's decide what materials we need to make this costume. Of course, you can supplement this list yourself with some little things to decorate the costume, because it is always nice to add your own design contribution.

So, you will need:

  • silk fabric in two colors (you can use cotton, and generally choose a fabric to your taste);
  • white calico for lining at the cap;
  • two pompoms or two bells to decorate the hat;
  • buttons or zipper;
  • scissors;
  • linen gum;
  • threads.

And now, having dealt with the necessary materials, let's go directly to the process of sewing a suit.

Step 1: The first step is the pattern of a shirt, or rather a suit of a buffoon. This costume is made like a jumpsuit, but you can make your own adjustments by dividing the costume into two parts - a shirt and pants. So, pin the pattern onto the fabric, cut it out, remembering to add a couple of centimeters for the seams. Sew all the details, sheathe the collar of the suit with an oblique trim. Then sew a zipper or buttons into the suit, the choice is yours. Pull the elastic into the cuffs of the sleeves and legs. The buffoon's jumpsuit is ready.

Step 2: The collar of the buffoon costume consists of two double semicircles of different colors. It is easy to cut it according to the pattern below. Then sew all the details, and to make it look fluffy, pull the bobbin thread from the machine seam and the part will tighten. Sheathe the collar with bias tape, attach the ties and - voila! - the collar is ready.

Step 3: The next step is to make a buffoon hat according to the pattern. First, using the pattern of the buffoon's cap, cut out the lining, and then the base of the cap, which should be slightly larger than the lining. For the Zetas, sew all the pieces and tuck the lining inside to hold the "lugs" of the cap. Next, sew pompoms or bells to the hat. The hat is ready.

In principle, the costume is ready. But you can also add embellishments to the costume, relying on your taste. For example, you can add sequins for shine or some beads. You can decorate the costume with themed embroidery or sew small bells on it. In general, here you can rely solely on your taste and imagination.

Making a buffoon costume with your own hands is very simple, and its manufacture will bring a lot of positive emotions to you and your child. After all, it's so great to wear a suit sewn by mom's hands, and maybe even with the help of dad. The child will have something to be proud of. You can sew a Petrushka shirt from bright fabric into peas or remake it from mom's blouse. From a satin of contrasting bright colors, for example, yellow and blue, sew a collar in the form of several "petals" -triangles from 9 to 14 cm long.

You can also take a white or yellow T-shirt a few sizes larger than the one your child wears and decorate it with brocade, sequins and braid, and randomly sew on bright-colored patches. And you can make such an outfit even from pajamas, complementing it with a suitable collar and armlets.

Sew a sash from bright fabric, decorate it with braid and sequins. To do this, you need to sew a belt, the length of which should be 40 cm more than the circumference of the child's waist. You can also use a belt of several bright, woven laces.

Petrushka's carnival costume for a boy may resemble Pierrot's outfit. Such an outfit can be cut out according to the following pattern from a fabric of contrasting colors. The jumpsuit is sewn from one-piece parts according to the following pattern.

Prepare the patterns, and then proceed to cutting. Pin the pattern to the fabric and trace around with chalk or a small, dry piece of white toilet soap. Sew the details, sew the elastic into the sleeves and trousers. This can be done above the edge, and then the uneven cut will look more magnificent. However, you can not tighten the bottom of the sleeves and pants with an elastic band, but leave them straight and decorate with braid or a bright ribbon.

To make the collar lush, its edge must be pulled off. To do this, a regular seam with wide stitches is made along the edge on a sewing machine, then the lower thread is pulled together, picking up the part. The collar is sheathed with an oblique trim and long ends are left for ties. To such a jumpsuit, you can sew a zipper, buttons that match the color or buttons covered with fabric.

Also, for Petrushka's costume, you will need to glue a cap from colored paper and attach a pompom to it. You can sew a cap of bright fabric. One half of the cap can be yellow, the other half blue or red.

And you can sew a hat for Petrushka with several (two or four) horns, at the ends of which perky bells hang. Keep in mind that a headdress that is too voluminous for a child will be uncomfortable, so it is better to give preference to a hat with two horns, which, by the way, will be easier to sew.

To cut out a hat, measure the circumference of the child's head and the depth of the product (from the back of the head to the middle of the forehead through the crown). Then, on a sheet of paper, draw a rectangle half the length of the circle and half the height of the cap. Raise the sides of the figure by 15-20 cm.

Further from the top of the lines, draw a triangle on both sides (“horns”), the bases of which will divide the upper edge of the rectangle in half. Strengthen the "horns" with foam rubber or hard tulle in 2-3 layers. Do not forget to decorate the finished cap with sequins.

Here is another version of such a pattern (with a collar):

The ends of the hat can be decorated with pom-poms in the color of the suit or in a contrasting color. Making them is easy: cut two identical circles of fabric and sew the edges, leaving a small gap. Put cotton wool in the middle and tighten the edges. Sew pom-poms to the corners of the hat. And you can attach small bells to them.

From the wrong side, sew “hair” from bast, ropes or yarn to the cap. You can use fringe for this purpose.

What else is needed to create the image of Petrushka? Shoes, as well as a suit, can be of different colors: that is, shoes on one leg are of one color, and on the other - of another. Sew shoes from bright fabric and cardboard or decorate ordinary Czech shoes, shoes or boots with fabric and attach pompoms of the same or contrasting color to their socks.

Paint the child's cheeks and nose with the appropriate make-up or "edible" dye, such as beetroot juice.

We hope that our article will help you make a Petrushka costume for a boy yourself without any hassle. Do not be afraid to dream up, combining different colors of fabric, decoration details - and this costume will turn out bright and spectacular, and your child will be the most beautiful and elegant at the children's party.

Participant No. 1 Natalia, costume "Parsley". Do-it-yourself New Year's Costume 2019 contest.

Hello TkanInfo.ru!

We want to participate in your New Year's costume contest. Our costume is called "Petrushka".

It contains the following details: cap, shirt, vest, harem pants and shoes.
The whole costume is hand-sewn from satin fabric. The shirt and vest were sewn for us by my grandmother (she is a professional seamstress), and everything else was sewn and cut by me.

For the costume, 3 colors of fabric were used (yellow, red and blue).
For the cap, 6 parts and a rim were cut out (diagram 2 in the picture). 2 parts for each horn of the same color. The scheme was invented by me, I sketched it, you can figure it out.

For panties, I made patterns for sports panties, plus added a few cm in the sides for splendor.
Shoes - sheathed Czechs. I measured the Czechs in a circle, divided the length into half and made a sketch by hand on thick cardboard, approximately as in the diagram (see below). I cut out large details from red and yellow fabric, small ones from blue.
