How to make a poppy out of fabric with your own hands using the technique of cold corrugation of petals: detailed instructions and video clips for creating these fiery flowers. How to make a poppy out of fabric? Flowers from corrugated paper poppies

On May 9, it is customary to give veterans and lay on the monuments dedicated to the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, red flowers, mostly carnations. Red needle-shaped flowers are distinguished by increased durability, they do not fade for a long time even without water, but still fade. Then we came up with one simple idea in its execution, to make bright red flowers with our own hands. The choice fell on poppies, since the red poppy is a symbol of the memory of the victims of all military and civil armed conflicts since 1914. And how to make a bright and beautiful poppy from high-quality fabric quickly and easily with your own hands, the master class below in the article will tell you step by step. In addition, you can clearly see its creation in a small video selection after the text.

How to make a red poppy from fabric using the technique of cold corrugation of petals with your own hands

For work you will need:

  • A piece of chiffon measuring 30x30 cm in a bright red shade
  • organza stripe
  • Green satin ribbon
  • 2 teaspoons instant gelatin
  • Skein of black floss thread
  • PVA glue
  • Manka
  • Sheet A4
  • Pencil
  • Thermal glue gun
Instructions for making a red chiffon fabric poppy:
  1. Before proceeding with the direct manufacture of a flower, instructions it is necessary to prepare a gelatin solution. To do this, 2 teaspoons of instant gelatin are poured into a glass of water at room temperature for about 45 minutes. The swollen gelatin, which has increased several times, is heated in a water bath until the grains are completely dissolved, it is important not to let the solution boil, otherwise it will lose all its binding properties. As soon as you saw the first small bubbles rising from the bottom of the solution, immediately remove the container with it from the water bath.
  2. After the gelatin solution has cooled a little, red chiffon is lowered into it and soaked in it enough. Then the chiffon is removed from the solution, slightly wrung out, but not twisted. The material is hung at one end on a rope until it dries completely, while the fabric is still wet, all sweet and irregularities are smoothed out with the help of hands, moreover, when smoothing, all unnecessary gelatin solution drains. After drying, the chiffon will resemble paper, which means that it can be removed and started to be made. flower .
  3. On an ordinary sheet of A4 paper, using a simple pencil, stencils of three petals of different sizes are drawn. Hard, like paper, fiery chiffon is laid on the stencils and outlined along the contour. For a three-dimensional flower, you need only 9 petals, three of each size. After all the petals are cut out, they need to be corrugated.
  4. First of all, the petal is folded in half, a strip of organza is placed on top of it so that the folds of one and the other part coincide.
  5. The left hand presses the edge of the strip of organza with a petal to a flat hard surface, the other edge stretches with the right hand, the fabric twists clockwise.
  6. Here's what we ended up with. The fiery corrugated petal of the future poppy is depicted on a photo . The remaining 8 petals are corrugated in the same way.

For the core of the poppy, you need to make a box with stamens. First of all, stamens are made, for this, thin floss threads are wound around 4 fingers about 100 times.

The floss is removed from the fingers and tied with a thread to each other, forming a ring. The ligation with a thread should be in the center of the ring, while its edges are cut, and such a shaggy bow is obtained.

To create white tips on the stamens, the ends of the bow threads are first dipped in PVA glue, and then lightly crumbled in dry semolina.

A little filler is placed in the center of the circle, the thread is tightened, fixed with a knot.

Then a green plump ball is stitched on all sides, and such a poppy box is obtained.

A little thermal glue is applied to the center of the box, on which the stamens are fixed.

First, small poppy petals are fixed to the finished poppy box, one at a time, then the petals are slightly larger in size in the second row, overlapping the distances between the first row. In the same way, the last row of large petals is fixed in a checkerboard pattern.

That's it, the fiery red frilled poppy is ready! You can plant a flower on a wire stem wrapped with a thin green ribbon and decorated with leaves, and then create a small bouquet of fabric poppies. You can decorate a headband, brooch and other accessories with similar colors before going to the square on a holiday. The main condition for the preservation of the shape and volume of such a flower is its dryness, since after getting water, the gelatin soaks, and all your efforts will go down the drain.

We bring to your attention a small video selection on how to make a red poppy from fabric with your own hands.

Here is my master class - do-it-yourself corrugated paper poppy. This is a simple step-by-step instruction on how to make a poppy for a candy bouquet using crepe paper and available tools. First I will tell you how to make a poppy flower, then two options for a bud. For manufacturing, we need: corrugated paper in three colors, 3 round caramels, white or black threads, scissors and a ruler. Remember to keep glue on hand to quickly fix the workpiece if it accidentally breaks.

First I want to show photos of poppies, these flowers of incredible beauty.

Now let's start 🙂 Real poppy flowers in nature can have from 6 to 10 petals, but we will make a poppy from 6 petals.

  • red â„–580,
  • black â„–602,
  • green No. 562.

We cut out rectangular blanks for petals 5x7 cm in size from red corrugated paper. For one flower, we need 6 pieces. From black paper cut out one square with sides of 7 centimeters.

The next step is to cut a black square along the folds, not reaching the edge of about 1 centimeter. Then you can twist our resulting "stamens" into thin tubes. If desired, you can use green paper instead of black.

We cut out the red rectangles in the shape of petals as in the photo.

Then stretch the top edge.

We crumple and crush our petals. This paper is very high quality, it practically does not tear, so you can crumple, sparing no effort.

Gently straighten crumpled petals. Thus, they turned out to be similar to "alive".

Using nail scissors, we make neat cuts along the edges of about 2-3 pieces per petal.

We take green paper and cut out a rectangle with sides of 3 and 11 centimeters.

Right in the middle, scroll once.

And hide our sweet candy.

We make a stem from the wire, then we take our stamens and attach them to the middle with the help of threads.

Also, with the help of threads, we attach the petals, one at a time.

It looks like a poppy with three petals.

We attach the remaining three petals in the same way.

Our paper poppy is ready!

So, we take nail scissors and make cuts in the green bud in the center.

Then we prepare black acrylic paint and brush No. 1 or No. 0.

And tint our incised "tails".

It turns out here is such a poppy flower for a bouquet of sweets.

How to make a poppy bud out of paper with your own hands?

I will show two options for making a paper poppy bud. Let's get started.

We need corrugated paper:

  • red paper No. 580,
  • green paper No. 562 (I took pistachio, you can take any other shade of green) And also, wire - for the stem, sweetie and pliers.

We prepare the stem by twisting the end of the wire so that in the future we do not accidentally pierce the candy.

We cut out one red rectangle measuring 11 by 3 cm, and two green ones - 8 by 3 cm.

We scroll the red rectangle in the middle twice, we get a blank in the form of a bow.

Hiding candy.

We attach the wire to the bud with candy and tie it with threads.

We round off the upper edge of the green rectangles.

Then we visually divide it into three parts, scroll one upper part once and fold it inward.

We give the shape of a boat, slightly stretching the paper. We attach with threads a red unopened bud between the green "boats".

We have a poppy flower with an unopened bud.

The second version of the paper poppy bud

We cut out two green rectangles 10 cm by 3 cm and two red ones with dimensions 7 cm by 3 cm.

With scissors, we give the red petals the shape of drops.

Stretch the top edge. Then the petals need to be crumple, as they did for the poppy flower itself.

We round green rectangular blanks from one edge with scissors.

Turn the green rectangles 180 degrees and fold inward, as in the first option.

We straighten the petals and hide the candy between them.

We stretch the green petals in the form of "boats" and fasten them with threads around the bud with candy.

Our poppy bud is ready!

From the resulting poppy flowers and buds, you can assemble a real bouquet of sweets that will decorate your interior. I designed the composition in a wicker basket.

Corrugated paper is one of the most affordable and convenient materials for creating a variety of colors and flower arrangements. Sometimes flowers and plants made of corrugated paper are made so masterfully that you can’t immediately determine whether they are alive or artificial. Beautiful, bright flowers always attract our attention, they are a universal gift for all occasions. And it is not necessary to pick or purchase fresh flowers that will wither after a while, because you can make almost any flower with your own hands and admire it for a long time. In this master class, I propose to make a simple bouquet of flowers that can rightly be called the "king of spring fields" - poppies.

This work is quite simple and easy to understand. It also contributes to the development of cognitive interest in children, the development of their creative abilities, strong-willed qualities, perseverance, and has a fruitful effect on the formation of aesthetic taste and a sense of beauty in both children and adults.

For work we need:

1. Red, black, green corrugated paper;
2. Rigid wire;
3. Glue - pencil;
4. Threads;
5. Scissors;
6. Simple pencil;
7. Ruler;
8. Teip - green ribbon;
9. Old newspapers or sheets of paper.

First, we will make the middle for our poppy, for this we take a small piece of newspaper and crumple it into a ball.

Now you need to measure and cut a rectangle of green corrugated paper measuring 4 cm * 14 cm.

We wrap our green segment around a newspaper ball, inside which we insert a rigid wire - a flower stem. We tightly wrap the resulting structure with threads.

Now let's make poppy stamens. To do this, measure and cut a rectangle of black paper measuring 14 cm * 5 cm.

We cut one of its edges with a thin fringe, without cutting 1-1.5 cm to the end.

We wrap a segment with a fringe around the green middle of the poppy and fasten it with threads.

Next - we will make petals for the future poppy. The flower will consist of 3 small and 3 large petals. Accordingly, we measure and cut 3 pieces of red paper 4 cm * 7 cm in size and three pieces 5 cm * 10 cm.

Scissors give them the shape of a petal

and gently stretch them across the width with your fingers so that the petals become waviness.

Here, approximately, such petals for poppy should be.

And now it's time to collect our flower. First, glue small petals to the bottom of the poppy center on the wire,

and below them are large ones.

Gently spread the flower petals with your fingers. The stem is tightly wrapped with green tape.

Tape is a strong elastic tape with a width of 13 mm. with a slight adhesive effect, often used in floristry. It is convenient to use it in the manufacture of bouquets, flowers, beaded trees, etc., if you do not have teip tape, then you can use colored tape. Here is such a flower.

If desired, green leaves can be glued to the stem. In order to make leaves, we measure and cut out rectangles measuring 17 cm * 2.5 cm.

We glue the leaf with glue - a pencil on the stalk,

and along its edges we carefully make a fringe with scissors.

The leaf is ready.

Along with loose poppies, you can make half-closed ones. They are made very simply. We wrap an oval lump of newsprint with red corrugated paper,

cut out 2 green petals,

we wrap them around and red ones and attach this whole structure with threads to the wire.

We wrap the stem with teip tape.

What an elegant bouquet we got!

I hope that this poppy composition will please you for a long time and rightfully become a bright decoration of your home interior. Good luck and good mood everyone!

Create a unique decor do-it-yourself paper very simple! Such an activity is very exciting, and the process of creating crafts will not take much of your time. Today we present to your attention a step-by-step master class on creating a charming paper poppy.

For work, we need to prepare the following materials:

  • corrugated and crepe paper in red;
  • green crepe paper;
  • ordinary colored paper in black and green;
  • scissors;
  • black threads;
  • adhesive sticker;
  • a piece of thin wire;
  • watercolor paints;
  • tassel.

Step 1

So, first we need to create the base of the flower - the pistil. We create a small ball of crepe paper of any color and put it on the tip of the wire.
Next, wrap the workpiece with a piece of green crepe paper.

Step 2

We process the base of the ball with black thread. Then we wind the thread around the ball itself.
This is how it should look like in the end.

We wrap the bottom of the workpiece with green crepe tape, after applying glue to it.

Step 3

Now we create poppy petals. For one inflorescence, we need only six petals. We cut off a tape 4-5 cm wide from a roll of corrugated paper.
Next, we unwind about 30-35 cm of tape and cut it off.
Fold the line six times. Then we cut out the petals, approximately, of this shape.

Step 4

With black watercolor, paint over the bottom of each cut out part.

Poppy petals are ready.

The brush should be dry enough not to dissolve the thin petals. Leave the petals until the paint is completely dry.

Step 6

In the meantime, the petals are drying, we create stamens. To do this, prepare a strip of black paper.
Fold the strip four or six times.
And then we make cuts along its entire length.

You get such a fringe that you need to spread out and wrap around a poppy stamen.
We fix the structure with green crepe tape.

Step 7

Now we give all the petals a natural shape, stretching their middle.

Step 8

When the glue dries, attach the remaining three parts.

To prevent the bud from deforming over time, its base should be fixed with a crepe tape.

Step 9

Fold a piece of colored green paper in half with the colored side inward. On the fold line, draw the outline of the leaf.
Cut it out along the drawn outline, and then twist it with scissors.

Using a drop of glue, attach it to the peduncle.

Corrugated paper poppy is ready!

Tools and materials Time: 15-20 minutes Difficulty: 1/10

  • crepe paper of different colors (at least 3 colors);
  • green floral tape
  • glue for paper;
  • floral wire;
  • scissors.

Corrugated paper poppies are ideal for creating compositions or decorating gifts for the Eighth of March and Easter. Making paper poppy flowers will take about 15-20 minutes and can be a great activity to do with the kids.

Step by step master class

So, let's start making do-it-yourself crepe paper poppies.

Step 1: make the center

Start working on the flower by creating a central detail. There are many options for making the middle. In this case, for work, use a small ball made from a small piece of crumpled white paper, rolling it between your palms. Take a piece of wire and bend one of the ends into a small loop.

Put a crumpled paper ball on the loop and secure with glue.

Tightly wrap the core of the flower with black paper and secure with glue at the base.

Step 2: make the stamens

The next step is to make paper stamens for flowers from white crepe paper. Cut out a small strip of paper and cut one of the edges into thin strips, creating a kind of fringe. To give more naturalness to the stamens, a little black paint can be sprinkled on white paper.

Step 3: glue the stamens

Spread the solid edge of the fringed paper strip with glue and wrap the blank at the base of the core, pressing firmly with your fingers.

Step 4: cut out the petals

Step 5: Shape the Petals

To give the petals a more natural shape, lightly stretch the top edge of the part with your fingers, making it wider and wavy.

Step 6: Collect Flowers

When all the details are ready, start attaching them one at a time to the base of the core, wrapping in a circle and at the same time slightly overlapping one petal on the other. At the same time, do not forget to smear the tip of each part with glue a little. To make the flower lush, attach at least two rows of petals.
