How to make big paper snowflakes step by step. Do-it-yourself voluminous paper snowflakes

Snowflakes… How beautiful and how different they are. Each of us can create such beauty ourselves. Moreover, the New Year is coming soon and the soul asks to create a festive atmosphere in the house not only with the help of a Christmas tree, tinsel, garlands, but also snowflakes.

You can use snowflakes in different ways: stick it on a window, make a panel, hang it on a Christmas tree, decorate a wall with beautiful snowflake garlands or use them as coasters on a festive table. It all depends on the type and size of paper you use and, of course, how much time you have available.

They are made very easily, even a kid who has just learned how to use scissors will cope with such a task. And they turn out to be different for everyone, since even among the real ones you can’t find two identical ones.

To work, you need paper that is thin enough so that it folds at least 8 times, you can 16, and in this form it can be cut. You can also use tissue paper, but it has one minor drawback - it is only white. But there is an advantage: it is good to cut small snowflakes from it. You can also take wrapping paper, thin plain or multi-colored foil. Two-tone paper is also good.

Do not forget about scissors, as well as glues and adhesive tape to create voluminous beauties. As for shapes and patterns, the schemes, templates and stencils that I have selected for you will come to the rescue here. Let `s start?

Everyone knows that snowflakes in nature have hexagonal symmetry, but most people shy away from making paper snowflakes that mimic natural ones. Partly because we find it easier to fold and cut an octagonal snowflake.

I offer you a quick and easy way to add a six-sided snowflake. Once you know this trick, you'll want to make all your paper snowflakes hexagonal.

You can use any paper: A5, A4 or square. Any excess will be trimmed as soon as the workpiece is ready.

Avoid using thick or heavy paper as it is difficult to fold and cut.

Instruction:

The finished snowflake will have folds and will not lie flat on the surface. This can easily be fixed by placing it under a press from a heavy book.

By folding paper in this way and cutting out various patterns, you can create the most beautiful snowflakes.

With the help of square-shaped gift wrapping, you can make a huge snowflake that will decorate the walls or the table, giving them a festive look.

And in order to make it easier to cut such a snowflake, wrap thin wrapping paper with a thicker one as shown in the figure.

If you want to decorate your windows with paper snowflakes, then you can use a little trick to make them more resistant to condensation. Place the snowflake between two sheets of waxed paper (parchment) and iron on low heat. The wax will melt, absorb into the snowflake and make it moisture resistant.

This can only be done in the presence of an adult!

  2. Now we cut the squares folded into a triangle into strips of 1 centimeter to the center, but cut off the strips so that the center remains uncut.
  3. So we got fluffy rays of snowflakes. It remains only to glue them together. We glue each ray separately. First, glue the tip, then the rays in one direction through one with each other, turn the remaining rays in the other direction.
  4. When all the rays are formed, glue 3 rays in the center and then connect 3 and 3 rays with each other in the center. The snowflake is ready.

Let's start the New Year's work:

  1. We make each ray of a snowflake separately. Take a square and draw a diagonal from one corner to the opposite with a pencil.
  2. Draw at an angle to the diagonal on both sides of the line for the incision, make the distance between the lines half a centimeter.
  3. Now we cut on both sides, leaving the middle intact.
  4. Now we connect each pair of strips on both sides to the middle and glue it in front, then in the back, alternating.
  5. We make 6 such rays and glue them in the middle.
  6. Now it remains to decorate the snowflake with sparkles. We take tinsel and cut it finely.
  7. Lightly coat the rays of the snowflake with glue and sprinkle with sparkles on top.

A magical, shiny, festive DIY paper snowflake for the New Year is ready. Glitter will bring a special festive mood. You can make several of these snowflakes of different colors or the same shade.

And now let's make a very simple, but beautiful voluminous snowflake from one sheet of colored paper with our own hands for the New Year. They are very easy to make, even children can make such snowflakes. You can use paper of different colors, but it must be double-sided. If you wish, you can also make just white snowflakes from ordinary A4 white office paper. One snowflake requires only one sheet of paper.

Let's get everything ready for work:

  • we will need double-sided colored paper for each snowflake - 1 sheet;
  • scissors;
  • glue.

Getting Started:

  1. We fold a sheet of paper at an angle, forming an even triangle, cut off the excess.
  2. We fold the triangle in half exactly from the top.
  3. Now we bend the corners of the triangle in different directions to the middle.
  4. Draw a line from the center to the corner and cut out a drop.
  5. Now we mark with a pencil and make cuts in order to form a snowflake openwork.
  6. We unfold the snowflake and bend the strips of each ray to the middle, glue them.

That's all, the snowflake is ready, you can hang it on a ribbon and decorate the room. If you make them together with the children, then the result will surely please the children, they will gladly make a whole bunch of such simple and colorful snowflakes, and then they will begin to decorate the room with them.

Snowflake - fluff

And here is just an amazing fluffy paper snowflake, which is so easy to make with your own hands for the New Year. It is so light and airy, fluffy and just like the real thing. To create a fluffy miracle, we need two shades of paper, glue and scissors.

Getting Started:

  1. For each snowflake, you will have to make 3 parts from squares of different sizes.
  2. The first square is 20 * 20 cm. We fold it several times into a triangle, cut off the excess and make cuts so that the edge is cut into strips as thin as possible, and the middle remains intact. Expanding. The result was the first layer of fluffy snowflakes.
  3. We do this with all the squares. The size of the second square is 15 * 15 centimeters, and the third - 10 * 10 centimeters. Colors in layers can be alternated.
  4. When all the layers of the fluffy snowflake are ready, just glue them in the middle so that the rays of the next layer fall into the gaps between the rays of the lower snowflake.

Snowflake from strips of paper with printed text

A great option for a snowflake for the office is a snowflake made from old papers, a magazine, a project report. This voluminous paper snowflake is made very simply and very quickly. Such a wonderful craft can decorate the office, but not only. At home or at school, it will also be appropriate and will bring style and a touch of sophistication to the interior.

Let's see how to do it:

  1. Prepare a journal or report that is no longer needed.
  2. We measure even strips with a ruler and a pencil and cut them straight into several layers, then cut off all the pages at once, cut into strips from the spine of the magazine. Got stacks of strips.
  3. Now we make the rays of the snowflake. For one beam, you will need 7 stacks of strips of different lengths. Central - the longest one, fold in half. On the sides of it, in the same way, we fold strips of different lengths. We fix the whole beam with a thread.
  4. We make 8 such rays and the middle, just a stack of strips rolled into a roll.
  5. Rays can be decorated with sparkles. To do this, coat them with glue and dip them in sparkles.
  6. Now the snowflake needs to be put together. It is better to use second glue. Glue the end of each ray to the middle. And then glue the edges of the rays together. Here you can use ordinary paper glue.

An amazing, stylish snowflake is ready! Be sure to use this option. This is a good way to add unnecessary waste paper and create a miracle out of nothing.

Fluffy snowflakes in the technique of trimming

The trimming technique is used to make various handicrafts, panels, paintings. Children love this technology. It is simple in execution and the work looks voluminous, unusual, interesting. Using this technique, you can make beautiful voluminous and do-it-yourself napkins for the New Year. Let's take a look at the whole process in detail.

First, prepare everything you need for snowflakes:

  • white cardboard or thick paper for the base of the snowflake;
  • white napkins;
  • PVA glue;
  • wooden stick or pencil;
  • scissors;
  • braid.
  • sequins or tinsel, which can be finely chopped by making sequins yourself.

When everything is prepared, you can proceed:

  1. From thick paper or cardboard, you need to cut out the base of a snowflake with rays. It can be of the simplest form, without openwork, just rays. You need to immediately attach a ribbon to it.
  2. Now you need to cut the napkins into small squares about 2.5 cm by 2.5 cm in size.
  3. Pour some PVA glue into the bowl.
  4. Now we take a square of a napkin, wind it around the tip of a stick, lightly dip it in PVA glue and glue it to the snowflakes. We start trimming from the middle. We glue the squares as tightly as possible to each other, so the snowflake will be fluffier.
  5. We fill in this way the entire surface of the snowflake.
  6. When everything is ready, you need to sprinkle our fluffy beauty with sparkles.

Such snowflakes can be made not only white, use napkins of different colors. The kids will love it. They love everything bright and beautiful. Or you can combine the colors of napkins in one snowflake. In general, do not limit the flight of fancy and create for yourself for pleasure!

Step-by-step photos of making snowflakes (diagrams):

Any ordinary snowflakes made of paper or napkins, cut out in the usual way with your own hands, can be turned into voluminous ones by putting them on as skirts on the figures and decorating the room with them for the New Year. You just need to cut out the figures of ballerinas and put them on skirts - napkins. Hang these ballerinas from the ceiling, from a chandelier or from a window. And immediately the room will be filled with a fairy tale and light snow magic.

New Year's Eve is the time when you can afford to dream a little and spend an evening - another for creativity. Go ahead, use all the tips given in the article, and boldly come up with something of your own.

Already in early December, the New Year mood begins to soar in the air. The brightly shimmering lights of the streets, filled with decorations shop windows, windows of various institutions and residential buildings remind of the holiday. The main element of Christmas decorations are voluminous snowflakes, which can be easily made with your own hands at home. Their production helps to cheer up and feel the atmosphere of the holiday long before its onset.

Snowflakes from paper strips

The most voluminous Christmas decorations are obtained from paper strips. Making such voluminous snowflakes with your own hands is quite simple, and the result is always striking in its beauty, airiness and fabulousness.

Necessary materials and tools

Paper strips are the main material from which volumetric airy elements of New Year's decor are made. Their width and length depends on the design and diameter of the craft. For small openwork snowflakes, strips 5–8 mm wide are cut. For large decorations, the width of the bands can be up to 20 mm. The choice of paper color depends on the imagination of the author. The classic white color is often complemented with a blue, blue, gray, pink palette.

Glue. The most convenient type of glue is a glue stick. But when working with it, you must carefully monitor the quality of gluing parts. The use of PVA glue will make the connection of paper elements stronger and more reliable. To fix decorative elements on paper, you can take any "superglue".

Scissors and cutting tools. If snowflakes are made in small quantities, then ordinary stationery scissors are suitable for work. A large number of strips are quite easy to cut with a clerical knife using a metal ruler.

decorative elements(beads, rhinestones, sequins, small paper napkins) are optional materials, but their use will decorate the product and make it more festive and elegant.

Option 1

Small voluminous snowflakes, which can be used as an independent decorative element or part of a composition, can be easily made even by small children, following the instructions step by step.

For work you will need stripes of the same width but different lengths. For one part, it is necessary to prepare 5 strips: 1 long (21 cm), 2 strips of 17 cm and 2 strips of 15 cm. The strips may have different colors (for example: white and blue).

From every paper strip loop is folded, the ends of which are carefully coated with glue and connected. The loops are assembled into a single structure, resembling a leaf in shape. For reliable fixation, the gluing place is fixed with a paper clip or clothespin.

For one snowflake, 8-12 identical parts are needed. The more components the craft has, the more voluminous it will look. The middle of the snowflake can be in the form of a ring or a dense roller. A strip about 30 cm long is smeared with glue and the desired part is formed from it.

It is better to form a snowflake on a sheet of checkered paper, which will allow you to symmetrically arrange all the elements around the center of the product. To make the craft strong, first connect the leaves together. The middle is coated with glue and placed in the center of the product.

Snowflake in the form of a five-pointed star

With your own hands, from the five strips used in the previous version, you can assemble a snowflake in the shape of a five-pointed star.

The longest strip is glued in the form of a loop, fixing the ends with glue. Then, with a slight offset, pairs of shorter pieces of paper are glued. The gluing point is fixed with a clothespin.

According to the same scheme, 4 of the same elements are performed.

To assemble a white paper product, two round parts with a diameter of 2–3 cm are cut out. Finished elements are glued to one of them. This design is fixed with a second circle, smeared with glue.

Eight-pointed craft

Creating an eight-pointed star snowflake is quite difficult. To simplify the complex assembly process, recommendations will help, which step by step describe the entire course of work. To perform this craft, you need to prepare the following materials and tools:

  • strips of white paper(12 pieces) size 1*25 cm;
  • glue;
  • paper clips;
  • graph paper or a sheet from a notebook in a cage.

Stages of work:

  1. Lay out 6 strips on millimeter paper, interlacing them together. We place three stripes vertically, the rest are strictly perpendicular to them. The distance between the parallel elements is 1 cm. The strips are temporarily fixed with paper clips.
  2. Adjacent side strips are fastened together with glue. They lubricate the ends of the strips, gently connecting them. The glued strips are shaped like a convex petal. One blank contains 4 petals and 4 free ends.
  3. Finished snowflake consists of two identical blanks. To assemble it, the free ends and petals of both parts are combined and glued together.

Medium-sized crafts can decorate a house, apartment, classroom or small office. Small snowflakes look beautiful on a Christmas tree and as part of garlands.

Decorations for large rooms

Most types of paper snowflakes are suitable for decorating small and medium-sized rooms. But there are schemes that allow you to create paper New Year's attributes for large premises (for example: a gym at a school, an industrial building, trading floors).

The execution scheme of this volumetric snowflake is universal. It can be used to make crafts suitable for decorating a Christmas tree, making garlands, decorating windows and walls. Large size decorations are made from sheets of thick paper. To create one large volumetric snowflake you will need:

  • six thick sheets of A3 paper;
  • stationery scissors;
  • stapler;
  • ruler;
  • simple pencil.

The size of the finished product depends on the density of the paper. A large snowflake that can be hung in a spacious room should be made from sheets of whatman paper. Since it is difficult to reliably connect parts made of dense material with clerical glue, the elements will be fastened with a stapler.

Work should begin by cutting out six identical square parts. To do this, the short side of the A3 sheet is combined with the long side diagonally, cutting off excess paper. Each resulting triangle is folded in half.

Using a ruler and a simple pencil, draw lines parallel to the long side of the figure. The distance between them is 1.5 cm. The lines should not reach a common fold line of about 1-2 cm.

The blanks are cut along the drawn lines. To make this process easier, the ends of the triangles are fixed with paper clips or clothespins. The figures should be cut very carefully, ending the movements clearly at the same distance from the fold of the part.

At the next stage, the triangular blank is unrolled. If all the previous steps were performed correctly, then a square sheet should lie in front of the master, which consists of smaller squares.

The ends of the smallest central part are connected and fixed with a stapler. Then the workpiece is turned over and the ends of the next square are connected. This action is repeated with all parts of the workpiece, turning it over after each fastening. The result is a detail resembling an icicle or a petal.

Having made six identical parts, they begin to assemble the crafts. At the first stage of assembly, three blanks are connected to each other, which are then fastened together. After that, they are additionally fastened together. When assembling a large volumetric snowflake, it is important securely connect all its components, so each connection point is fixed with 2-3 staples.

Small 3D snowflakes are made according to the same scheme. In this case, stationery glue can be used to connect the squares in each blank. The finished craft is also assembled with a stapler, using smaller staples.

Fan version of large sizes

Making a fan snowflake out of paper of any size is very simple. But its performance in large size has several features. To create a fan snowflake you will need:

  • two sheets of A3 paper;
  • simple pencil;
  • ruler;
  • stationery knife or large scissors;
  • reliable stationery glue;
  • stapler with small staples;
  • needle and thread.

A sheet of paper on the smaller side is folded like an accordion. The size of one fold is 3 cm. Such harmonicas must be folded 2 pcs.

The desired pattern is applied to the blanks. In order for the contours on both harmonicas to be the same, the pattern is applied according to a specially prepared template. If there is no template, then one blank is first marked and cut out. After that, it is used as a template for the second part. You can cut out the contours of the picture with large scissors or a clerical knife.

Each blank with a pattern is folded in half and sewn at the fold. After that, the two parts are glued together. For reliability, until completely dry, they are fixed with clothespins.

The completely dried craft is carefully straightened. The points of contact are fixed with a stapler at 2-3 points.

Non-standard Christmas decorations

For those who want to decorate the room more creatively, we can offer several interesting options. Among them there are quite simple crafts, and works that require certain skills.

Crafts made in the fashionable quilling technique are distinguished by their lightness and delicacy. Hundreds of unique snowflakes can be created using basic shape details. They don't have to be monochromatic; to create a beautiful pattern, you can use two or three colors of paper strips. Before starting work, it is better for novice craftsmen to draw a diagram of a future craft on a checkered sheet, lay out the details on it, and only after that carefully glue them together.

Many types of snowflakes are quite difficult to make for young children. For them, you can offer to make a Christmas decoration from paper bags. They are made from paper square stickers. You can take the same leaves, but a two-color craft made of bags of different sizes will look more interesting.

6 leaves of white and blue color are folded into bags and fixed with glue. Two circles with a diameter of 3 cm are cut out of white paper. Bags are laid out on one of them, placing them with their tails towards the center and alternating large and small blanks. After that, all the parts are glued to the base and fastened on top with another circle smeared with glue.

Snowy beauty from bushings

Toilet paper rolls are a great material for many beautiful crafts. Snowflakes from them are somewhat reminiscent of quilling work.

Paper sleeves are cut into rings of 5-10 mm (depending on the estimated size of the craft).

On a sheet of paper, draw a diagram of a snowflake and lay out the details on it. They can be made in different shapes: round, eye, drop, heart (circle folded in half), rhombus.

Then the parts are glued together.

After the glue has completely dried, the craft can be painted and covered with sparkles, fixed with hairspray.

used to create a variety of New Year's crafts. There are many types of paper modules: triangular modules, kusudama modules, various variations of flat modules. How to make a paper snowflake using the modular origami technique is described in the detailed instructions. For work you will need:

  • paper stickers for notes (size 10*10 cm and 6*6 cm);
  • cardboard;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • decorative ornaments.

Modules are made from squares.

The sheet is folded diagonally, carefully combining the corners. The workpiece is unrolled. The two upper sides are folded to the center line. It turns out a figure in the form of a rhombus. The lower faces of the rhombus are bent towards the center of the figure. All fold lines are ironed. One module is ready. According to the same scheme, 5 more large elements and 6 small ones are made.

A circle with a diameter of 2 cm is cut out of a sheet of cardboard. Large modules are glued to it in turn, the acute angle of which is placed in the center of the round base. Small modules are placed between large ones and fixed with glue. A decorative element (rhinestone, sequin) is glued to the center of the craft.

As a decor, you can use large voluminous snowflakes from improvised materials. They are hung from the chandelier, on the curtains. Put on shelves or completely used as decoration on the Christmas tree. I consider paper the most affordable material for manufacturing, so we will use it.

Involve the children, let them develop their accuracy and fine motor skills, so that the process takes place in an unforgettable mood of waiting for a miracle. Or while you are creating a decorative element, then let the child cut openwork snowflakes with other family members according to the given ones.

Do-it-yourself voluminous paper snowflakes

Volumetric versions of snowflakes are very popular now, or they are also called 3D. Of course, more paper is needed, but the effect is amazing.
With the help of such a decor element, you can create an unusual photo zone in the apartment where guests will be photographed.

Such a snowflake can be taken to kindergarten or school. Also hang and decorate a street Christmas tree.

So, the simplest and most popular options for snowflakes.

In the first option, we used the same technology as in this article when we did.

For a snowflake, take 6 square sheets, you can use multi-colored stickers.

The point is that the paper sheet is folded diagonally and 3 slots are made from the side of the fold.

And the two shortest tips are connected, then the workpiece is turned on the wrong side. The ends of the two middle strips are glued together.

Then the workpiece unfolds again and so the process continues until all the ends stick together.

You will get 6 blanks.

And we glue these blanks with the bases to each other.

The next snowflake is even easier to make. It turns out very fluffy and like many children.

For it, we use a sheet of double-sided colored paper and cut it to make a square.

We turn it diagonally and then three more times, getting triangles.

You should get three sides, as in the photo and a common fold line.

Now we wrap the long end inward and cut off the resulting triangle.

It remains only to make even long cuts.

Now carefully unfold the blank so that the paper fringe does not tear.

To get the volume, we make two more of the same smaller blanks and connect them in the center.

Newspaper snowflake

You can make it from newspapers, or you can make it from plain paper.

To glue one snowflake, we need from five to 7 blanks.

We prepare strips: long - 9 cm, medium - 8 cm, short - 7 cm.

Now we glue the ends of each strip.

We form the workpiece.

And we combine them into one product.

Newspaper is thinner than paper, so it's best to double each strip to add thickness.

Using toilet paper rolls

Toilet paper rolls are a chic thing for creativity. In this article, I wrote how to make them.

For one snowflake, we take one sleeve, cut it into pieces of the same size.

And glue with hot glue in any order we like. To get a double leaflet, you need to fold the ring in half.

If you paint a snowflake, then the sleeve should not dissolve in water, take it from ordinary toilet paper.

Apply PVA glue to the edges of the finished product and sprinkle glitter on it.

Detailed diagrams of how to make voluminous paper snowflakes

I found another detailed explanation of how to make three wonderful snowflakes. By the way, if you apply self-sufficient tones like red, black or purple, you will get quite stylish and unusual.

blue snowflake

We need to cut strips of two colors: 5 long, 10 medium and 10 short.

We connect it like this: We glue the ends of a long strip, then on the sides we glue medium strips to its ends.

Then comes the turn of short strips, you get a blank.

We connect the workpieces in the middle with a stapler or hot glue.

How do you like the result?

Curly snowflake

You need five square sheets of paper of the same size.

We fold each square halfway and make cuts of the same size to the center.

We unfold and start making a ray. Glue each end of the strip to its beginning at the center, you get something like a droplet.

We will collect all the blanks into one whole and rejoice at the result.

black snowflake

Very effective, but rather complicated application. There are two options for gluing it.

We take the stripes of the same width and are very even. We fold three strips perpendicular to each other and fix the center with paper clips.

We connect the two extreme strips, having received a petal, we will do the same with the rest.

You can do so. But there is another option for gluing.

Then we glue the side strips of one side together under the middle strip.

But then, in order to get more rays, you will need to make a second layer on top, but place it diagonally.

To decorate snowflakes, you can use braid, ribbons, beads, LEDs and other elegant elements.

I will be glad if you liked my selection and I will read your comments with pleasure.

Welcome all! Today is November 12, and there is still no snow in our city. What's the weather like for you? We are all already in anticipation of winter fun and the snow-white attire of nature. I really want to go outside and feel how slowly and gracefully snowflakes fall on you.

As a matter of fact, we will talk about them, about these white cut-out beauties! Probably, these fluffies are an indispensable attribute of decorating houses, streets, school and kindergarten premises in the winter. There are different ways to make this craft. The main difference is the material from which it is made and the cutting methods. We will talk about how to make paper snowflakes using different patterns and cutting patterns.

Do not forget that such blanks can be used as crafts for the upcoming New Year. Ideas of interesting and beautiful things that you can do with your own hands, you can get ready for the holidays in advance.

You know, I want to advise you to introduce such a tradition in your family: to get together on cold evenings and create with the children, making and cutting out these simple designs, and then sticking them on the windows. And let passers-by envy your beauty!!

The easiest way to make a snowflake is to fold the sheet 5 times. We fold the first four times in half, and the fifth diagonally. From the resulting workpiece, cut out any patterns and unfold. Our New Year's beauty is ready!!

But this is a very simple and not very interesting way. To complicate it, you can perform a tetrahedral version:

Or pentagonal:

Here is another simple and easy way to cut our product:

And to make it even clearer to you, let's now take a step-by-step look at the manufacturing process:

  • We will make snowflakes from square paper. If you have a standard A4 sheet, then bring it to the desired shape. Now fold it so that you get a triangle. We cut off the excess part and get a perfect square.
  • We add the square diagonally, we get a triangle.

  • Fold the triangle to the far corners, getting another smaller triangle.
  • We have a preparation. Apply any pattern on it and carefully cut it out.
  • You just have to straighten the finished product, so as not to hook it and tear it.

On a note!! This is the easiest way to make a snowflake. Here the result depends on the selected pattern. The more complex the pattern, the more unusual and interesting the result will be.

Beautiful do-it-yourself snowflakes (we make from paper)

I would also like to note that the more complex the decoration pattern, the more difficult it will be for you to cut it out, so calculate your strength.

For you, one more photo instruction for making New Year's crafts:

  • Make a diagonal fold. If you do not have a square sheet, then do not forget to cut off the excess part. Next, fold the workpiece diagonally again.
  • The widest part of the triangle, that is, its base, is divided into 3 equal segments. We bend one corner so that the edge ends at the level of the mark. It will be below the base, but strictly below the mark. Now fold the second part and cut off the uneven ends.
  • Draw or cut out a snowflake right away.

I think, in general, you already have an idea of how to carry out these simple designs and there should no longer be any difficulties in their manufacture. For you, there is another video story on our topic, and we move on to more complex options.

Volumetric snowflake. Cutting templates

To make a three-dimensional structure, you need to master the techniques of kirigami and quilling. Let's take a closer look at these two methods.

  • Kirigami paper snowflake

We will need: bright colored paper (the reverse side should be white or colored); scissors; pencil with ruler.

Manufacturing process:

1. Cut out a square from colored paper of any size.

2. Fold it four times to make the part a quarter.

3. We make a diagonal fold.

4. Cut off the beveled corner from above.

5. Cut out symmetrical triangles at the outer side of the figure.

6. With scissors from bottom to top, we make two cuts on both sides of the sharp corner, as well as one more cut on the right or left.

7. Unfold the paper and gently smooth it out.

8. Now arbitrarily bend the formed corners up or down.

9. Having folded all the corners, iron the craft with an iron.

10. When you place the product, then turn it as desired with the front or wrong side towards you.

When you are familiar with this technique, I offer you templates of more original types:

  • like this for example

  • or such

  • maybe you will like this option

  • Snowflake in quilling technique

And this is a very painstaking work, but the result is the envy of everyone. Although, if you figure it out, everything is done very simply.

  • We take a regular sheet of paper and draw the same lines using a ruler with a pencil. Cut the sheet into strips.
  • Take an awl and attach the edge of the paper strip to its end. Now we wind the strip on the tool.
  • We glue the end of the strip to the resulting coil and remove the roll from the awl. Make another such coil, but lightly squeeze it with your fingers on one side. Make five more of these droplet coils.

  • Take the first blank and glue six "droplets" to it.
  • Again we roll six coils and squeeze with our fingers on both sides. Glue new details between the snowflake petals.
  • Take three strips and bend them in half, then cut them. You should have six short strips. Of these, twist six coils. Glue a new coil to each end of the part.
  • From long strips we make six more coils, only slightly larger than the first. To do this, do not tighten the paper too much. Glue them on top between small rolls.
  • You need to make six more large coils and bend their sides with your fingers so that you get a square. We glue them with the top to large coils.
  • We take a pencil and wind a paper strip around it, glue the end of the strip and remove the coil. We glue this part to one of the tops of the snowflake and thread a ribbon or rope into the ring.

Here is a diagram of how you can still glue the parts:

  • And you can also make such a three-dimensional 3D figure.

We will need: paper, scissors and a clerical knife; Scotch; glue; stapler.

Cooking process:

1. Make six identical squares out of paper.

2. Bend each square diagonally and make 3 cuts to the middle on both sides. The cuts should not touch, leave 0.5-1 cm between them.

3. Unfold the sheet and lay it so that the uncut edges are vertical. From the inside, you need to twist the two nearest edges into a tube. Glue with glue or tape.

4. Expand the workpiece and connect the next two strips. Again, turn the part over and connect the 3rd row of strips. Glue the last strips too, turning the workpiece upside down.

5. We do the same with six squares. Then fasten them in three elements, deployed in one direction. Then we fix both parts into a three-dimensional figure.

6. If necessary, fix the sides of the product with a stapler or glue.

And another master class on making winter beauties:

How to make a snowflake from a toilet paper roll?

It turns out that in order to make such crafts, it is not necessary to use plain paper, you can also take toilet paper rolls. And the work process is very simple, you need to take only one roll, PVA glue and paints, you can use acrylic, or gouache. For decor, take glitter, sequins or confetti.

Now just cut the toilet paper roll into equal parts, flatten it and glue it. Top with your choice of material.

Here are a couple more design ideas for roll structures:

  • use small and large parts

  • From above you can take different elements of decoration

  • Or you can just cover it with gold paint

Schemes of paper snowflakes for the New Year

Now that you are familiar with the different techniques for making this type of jewelry, I want to offer you diagrams and ready-made templates. Take, save, cut and create! May the holiday always reign in your house.

  • scheme 2;

  • scheme 3;

  • scheme 4;
