Step by step description:

Comb your hair, moisturize or wax if necessary.
At the crown, separate a wide strand from which you will form a braid.
Raise this part and attach two tapes under it using invisible ones. You can take one fabric strip, fold it in half and fix it in the same way.
Lower your hair, form 3 strands. Arrange them between the tapes as indicated in the diagram. Number all parts. Tapes are No. 3 and No. 4 (Fig. 1 in the diagram).

Do the same with the last right part. Add some hair, put it under the nearest curl, then over one and under the second ribbon (Fig. 5).
Keep the straps tight at all times. It turns out that you braid them on both sides, forming a checkerboard pattern.
Reach the end, following the same pattern.
Secure the end of the braid with an elastic band, tie a bow from the tails of the ribbon.
